Premium MemberAutumn Feathers

Feathers amongst fallen leaves
Spring plumage drops from the sky
Blue Jays in cobalt feathers
Proudly perched near drab fall hues

Goldfinches in olive green
Camouflaged on sparse branches
Raptors hungry and hunting
Autumn feathers masked from sight

Cardinals perched on red fronds
Their mates near singing away
Crisp crimson and yellow leaves
Now blanket sparse sleepy wood

Hidden owls hoot in the dark
Their nightly quest soon begins
In dark brown feathers they soar
Hoping to find their night prize

Premium Memberau revoir to autumn

Autumn reigns in glory but for a season before
winter covers her with a quilt of snow.
                                                  ~ by poet

au revoir to autumn leaves
tumbling aground in the breeze
leaving their branches disrobed
naked each season of fall

a time for harvests and feasts
pumpkins to carve, pies to bake
for family gatherings
before winter winds blow in

there'll be white blankets of snow
decorations to be hung
jingling bells then will be heard
and voices singing his praise

hearth fire flames become embers
the scent of pine boughs lingers
I am contented with life
in the haven of my home

Fall

O wake my friend! Ope thou thy eyes
The lamps and stars and wind heave sighs
The leaves of trees all faint all fail
With autumn gale they fall and wail

Oh stand O perch on clouds so high
O smile and row thy boats in sky
O woodland soul, in grief thou roll
In heart of thine is sorrow's hole?

While Lord is painting in his room
Thy scented blooms , thy evening gloom
Some shine in mead, some shine in skies
Thy stars thy moon thy fireflies

Cuckoos sing and sing in Glee
Larks and fowls in heath sing free
The clouds with dusky hues they meet
And pour on world they foggy sleet

All scents and hues of world are thine
O Autumn look with eyes of mine

Embracing the Inevitable

In autumn's breath, leaves fall, life's fading sight,
Ephemeral blooms succumb to endless night.
Death's grip extends, unyielding and severe,
Bound by its grasp, we all must face our plight.

Time's ceaseless flow, a river's steady race,
Each fleeting moment brings us closer to embrace.
Mortality's shroud, a truth we can't evade,
Inevitable fate, where all must find their place.

From cradle to grave, life's fragile thread is spun,
No choice but to walk the path that fate has begun.
In death's cold grip, our earthly dreams unwind,
A solemn reminder that life's race is done.

Yet in the stillness of eternity's embrace,
The legacy we leave, a glimpse of timeless grace.
Though death may claim our bodies' fragile form,
Our spirit lingers on, in memories we trace.

Winter. Expect snow and ice
Children think snow’s very nice
Hear them giggle with delight
When they have a snowball fight

Spring. We’ll see pretty flowers
Nesting birds, April showers
When small fledglings take to wing
I can hear the bluebells ring

Summer. Time for holidays
When we bask in sunshine’s rays
Many want a deep suntan
It’s too hot I’d need a fan!

Autumn. Leaves are tumbling down
Trees lose their glorious gown
Finest season of them all
No surprise it’s known as fall.

Spring delights with nature’s song
But then summer comes along
With intention to compete
And excel with bouts of heat.

Stifling air by day and night
Dazzling sun ablaze, too bright
Layered roads buckle and melt
Wildfires make their presence felt.

Searing tongues flicker and roll
Woodland burns out of control
Hungry beast won’t be denied
Till at last the flames subside.

Devastation, tears and pain
Cling to hope and autumn rain
To arrive, replace the gloom
With amazing super bloom…

Golden flowers orange, red
Hide the ashes and instead
Inflorescence soothes the heart
With the gift of nature’s art.

Premium MemberDeath Holds Promise

Swirling autumn leaves
for whom no one grieves,
consumed by a storm,
envelopes our form.

Nodes within us stir
and all chakras whir
as our soul's tribute
to death resolute.

Eye ought not be pleased
seeing leaves deceased
yet this transition
sparks bliss ignition.

In death there's beauty
but egos snooty
resorting to guile,
are in denial.

Our heart knows what's true,
let's life pulse renew;
each transformation,
our meditation.

fall leaves come of age
branch is not a cage
the clime of the sage
raked piles on youth's stage

Inspirations flow no more,
although we seek an encore,
an urge rooted in ego,
which we are loathe to forgo.

Habit patterns control us,
plateaus after peaks, nonplus,
for our yearning’s to expand,
as of restless heart’s demand.

Though to a tree, were once bound,
autumn leaves fall to the ground,
yet when it comes to ourself,
desires remain on the shelf.

Change is inevitable,
so let’s make our heart stable ~
vibrant, witness consciousness,
entwined with the That oneness.

It’s all about ownership,
mind game of one-upmanship.
Why then hanker for our muse,
amidst beauteous life’s hues?

Deer gives me a gentle nod
Stepping daintier than plod
I smile a sweet hello
We do not have far to go

A sharp stick broken warns her
Bolt and gone in October
Autumn day with leaves so fair
Wise coolness in the air

Premium MemberWelcome Winter Jq

Fall breeze, a soothing goodbye
kiss on amber leaves filled sky.
Entrancing they fall, descend
round and round last final bend.

Goodbye, fall, welcome winter
sky. Sun grimace at bitter
descend for longer night hold,
bend to the grim winter cold.

let the night last forever
I dance with the sister of Masimini
The night is the triumph of joy over sadness
Autumn frosts are gone,my heart
is in euphoria
