Jacko - Michael Jackson 1958-2009

Singing and dancing,
as the last to arrive,
he outshone his brothers
in the Jackson Five.
Moonwalking across the stage,
he was quite the fancy dancer,
but what happened to his other glove,
is a question no one can answer.
Comparing the early to his later work,
you can hear it when he sings,
Michael the 'King of Pop',
put a new complexion on things.
But in '85, with 'We Are The World',
he was dead wrong,
when he wrote the lyric
to the song,
as, from sea to shining sea,
on this globe there is much more,
than only that there north American shore.
Yet, Billie Jean (not his lover) was just a girl
who claims that he is the one,
and Bubbles brought on many troubles,
but the chimp is not his son.

Jacko has a dark side as well as one of fun
He laid out too long in the hot sizzling sun
Didn't turn over
Got over exposure
White in front but dark on his bum

Premium MemberMom and Dad Must Have Been Primates

Mom & Dad must have been primates
Coz bananas are my favourite foods
When it comes to stuff Jacko eats a lot of
For bananas they're in the mood

Whenever they passed a bush with vines
Something deep down inside
Urges them to climb up and beat their chest
Some primordial force to abide

Bananas for breakfast, lunch or dinner
With mounds of yummy whipped cream
Oh heavenly joy! There ain't nuttin' finer
They're the object of all our dreams

Okay, I'll try to get back to reality now
But each time I hear an old squeeze box
Get all excited and feel like performing
It invades my innermost thoughts

Sitting here typing while peeling a banana
Is there help for someone like me
My skin has definitely got a yellow tinge
Often hang from our backyard tree!

Mom and Dad must have been primates
Other signs are too numerous to tell
Obsessed by scratching my armpits raw
And honking my honker as well!

Premium MemberJacko the Old Softie

The title describes me to a tee
No matter how hard I try at times
To be tough and manly and masculine
A softie is how I'm defined

Guess it's not always a bad way to be
Cold hearted is sure not this guy
If you're able to read between the lines
That's where this dude resides

Try very hard to always be honest
But it's not always easy to do
Some factors contribute every damn day
To disguise the real you

So call this guy a real “old softie”
That's a real compliment you see
Will keep on spreading the love around
“Jacko The Softie”, that's me!

Premium MemberBring Your Own Sunshine

Wherever you go, don't forget
Bring your own sunshine along
To brighten up the path you travel
Singing a happiness song

It's certainly possible, look at me
Can't wipe this smile from my face
Mona Lisa can't hold a candle to Jacko
Brightening the darkest place

Am I happy with my life so far
Bet yer sweet bippie I am
Was never much of a complainer ever
Or a down-in-the-mouth type man

So wherever you go, don't forget
Give everyone a big high five
Never leave home without your sunshine
You'll brighten up so many lives

ten o'clock coffee
its a sweet and sour day
inside my back porch

along comes Jacko
the stink wasp from Kingdom Hell
caught inside my shawl

hubby tries to help
but the wasp gets stuck and bites
thank God, no stinger.. .

A Becoming Muse

The print is not there only the imprint of a poet.
A Muse that has never known words.
only the blank geography of creation speaks for her.
She looks through the ink as if the page were not there.

“If you would speak for me then behead your words,
fill their rolling heads with Autumn smoke.
Give them away as Jacko ‘Lanterns,
make them recite poetry to the ghosts that tumble out
of the bare trees each year
hopeful to hear something new

knowing always that disappointment
still dresses both them
and you.”

A LOVE POEM FROM JACKO

What did I hear... a love poem from Jacko?
Sure y'all know, he's a bit over the hill
But Jacko can still excite those pretty li'l ladies
With words of love or a poem bout roadkill

Forgive me, my train leaves the tracks at times
I'll be okay once the medication kicks in
I'm susceptible to weird and strange scenarios
Like ladies feverishly massaging my skin

Again I'm sorry, this was meant as a love poem
Turned out to be a little like a laugher
This damn brain often slips away from me
Off on a strange tangent and sorry after

If you know me at all, you'll totally understand
My brain is quite different than most
Wirings all screwed, my eyes are quite crossed
Quite weird but you still hear me boast

This is supposed to be a sweet wee love poem
What the hell, my brain is out of whack
Okay the spirit of poetry is alive and quite well
Next it'll be about my exploits in the sack!

(Doesn't quite do it, eh?)
