Winter Turning Into Springtime

l remember days of silver
turning into lakes of snow
ice crystals touch, from stars above me
Winters shimmers, did grow and grow.

l walked the gentle flowing rivers
when the trees stretched arms to me
l dream't your kiss , my softest wishes
as falling from the sky , to me.

There were snowflakes wings on powdered waters
but grey skies changed to snow white clouds
your love is of the calmest nightfall
your love is like the gentle shores.

As Winter surely falls to Springtime
these are words, l faithfully, write to you
never question doubts you thought of
never question

my love for you.

I Tapped Into the Flow State

I tapped into the Flow State today
Oh, what a marvelous day.
I tapped into the Flow State today,
Step aside make way!

I tapped into the Flow State today,
Everything’s going my way.
I tapped into the Flow State today
What the did you do with your day?

You ask me how let me show you the way:
This morning began unusually so,
An idea sparked:
Be one with the snow.

Outside I wandered, the air crisp and free,
Until I met her a magnificent tree.
"Embrace me," she whispered, so gentle, so slow,
And at last, hand and branch became one in the snow.

I tapped into the Flow State what a wondrous day,
The wind didn’t push south; it led me north to stay.
Guided by whispers, by nature, by chance,
I danced with the universe in a wordless trance.

December 31, as Rain Turns into Snow

A cat sits on a chair
and hovers over me
as I lie in bed.
It’s December 31st
as a soft rain falls.
As I get up
I ask myself
if this is
an ending or beginning.
I’ve been back in town
full-time for five years
but embrace memories
of highways travelled
throughout the Midwest
when I worked
for road construction crews.
Now I’m left with my poems.
Bare limbs in the yard next door
wave and dance in the wind
beneath the cover of grey skies.
The cat brushes against me and mews
and I know it wants to be fed.
I take it downstairs
and fill a dish on the floor.
It eats in the kitchen while I call
my older cousin and we peer
into our younger lives.
When asked I said
if given the chance
I say
I’d live my life again.
Outside the window
rain has turned to snow
and the dormant yard
bears the change of weather.

Premium MemberThe Day Turns Back Into Night

I am now up and half asleep,
quiet I must not make a peep,
others are still sleeping like sheep,
need to get dressed and start my jeep.

Off to school it is time to go,
a teacher is making me glow,
looks like it is starting to snow,
I need to get to work for dough.

With this winter storm descending,
meetings I am not attending,
no my ice scraper is bending,
oh please warmer days start tending.

"Before the day turned into night,"
now turn on the living room light.

pine trees, snow covered

                   You are………that star.

Into the Foothills

Take unhurried steps into the foothills
And get enlightened by the untainted zephyr and pristine snow
Never mind the smell of the soil on you, as it is the scent of the nature
With ballads, awake the spirit of the fire that light up and warms the night
And collect jar of memories that could be adored for lifetime

Devotion Poem - Our Dance (For Jim)

You are the first and last poems
    God wrote for me.
You are the sparkler
I found flaming sun yellow between
The sprigs of early green grass,
Before the shoveled piles of February
Snow had melted away
    Their last signs of winter.

You came unexpectedly,
   Beyond probability, carting too
Much physics homework for your
   Left-brained studies, and
Declaring, “I don’t dance for anyone.”
   Emphatic. Like an evergreen.
But I had seen trees dance, just as I thought
I might go on dancing if I knew you.

Then you fell silent, telling your life to me
With your smile, while your eyes glanced
Through space dismissing time, sparkling
A reach to my heart for a continuous dance…I
Have never stopped my wonder, or my own
Silent joy surpassing the physics of falling
        Through dimensions into your heart.

Into a Frosted Night

In another few hours
Sex and blood N murder
Digging up bones
A smear of mascara
Digging up bones
In another few hours
As snow falls silently on stone
The cooling engine tics
The headlights bleed into a frosted night
Die to amber in death
The tracks are fresh
As the red is in contrast
Feeling the falling snow covering
Etched bone
Silent & sincere
Sacred secrets
A drifting echoing scream
Felt in deep future dreams
In another few hours
Sex and mascara
Digging up bones
A smear of red
Sharp in contrast
Digging up bones
In another few hours
As snow falls silently on stone.

Premium MemberMarch Turns Into Spring

Oh, from my window snow falls,
March has come and Spring is soon,
suddenly the snow will melt ...
and I will be sitting on my porch !

Premium MemberGetting Into the Christmas Spirit

Dancing around the Christmas tree
It’s a holiday thing we do.
All us kids sing “Jingle all the way,”
And Papa does an old soft shoe
We giggle and laugh as we decorate
Getting into the Christmas spirit,
Snow is coming down so hard outside
I swear, you can almost hear it.

Premium MemberFall Deep Into Autumn

Flamboyant, fabulous fall waits in the wings
As sultry summer gradually winds down,
Losing strength to chilly changes September brings,
Leaving lovers of long hot days wearing a frown.
Delights await those who favor fall.
Exciting festivals and special days
Enliven our spirits. Outdoor scenes enthrall,
Pleasing the eye with vast, colorful arrays,
Inspiring, serving as poet’s and painter’s muse.
Nature lends progressively less daylight.
Trick-or-treaters have cute costumes to choose,
Ornate orange bags or buckets—adorable sight--
And sweets to eat on Halloween night.
Umber earth is rendered white by frost, then snow.
Thanksgiving feasts and football are November fare.
Ultimate fall plans center around coming yuletide glow.
Merry Christmas! Gather; gifts and blessings, share.
Now winter waits with a new year in tow.

Premium MemberInto My Snow Globe

Into my snow globe would promptly go…..
A Jesus in a manger, with a halo glow.
Angels we have heard on high,
And they would be placed just so.
Mother Mary with her husband Joseph
Dressed in blue.
A shabby bunch of animals,
Star in the East too
Three wise men? I am debating.
For there is some discussion, and it sounds pretty real too,
That they did not show up until Jesus was around the age of two.

Cast Away Into the Snow

As I drive down this lonely road
Wondering when it will end
I see my heart among the snow
Cold and alone laying with tire tracks

A beautiful sight to the eyes
But to this heart it waits to melt
The sun has not risen in many years
Just waiting for the snow plow

To cast me aside

(This picture is very close to where I live, just taken two days ago it's colder then crap up here, lol)

Falling Into Winter

The wind is whistling through the dead flower
For now all the insects have gone to sleep
Apples on the ground are becoming sour
Jumping in soggy leaves that are chin deep

Ceres just begins her months long sorrow
Her tears bring the seasons first icy rain
Eyes light up a snow day on the morrow
The floor is littered with Thomas the Train

I try to fool myself the shore so close
I can already smell the salty brine
When apple cinnamon reaches my nose
Shattering my dream calling me to dine

I bravely stare down winter's icy chill
That is as I look out the window sill
