Light-play ecstatically rides the air,
in tones of pink, lavender, yellow, blue;
cumuli smiles fill the skies,
a blink or two of green slides by.
Precipitation sighs its last goodbye;
while Sol stretches its warming rays.
Orange intermingles with rainbow’s
Indigo edge; fade to azure heights,
Where echoes the laughter of children
Splashing about in puddles.
I breathe in the scent of ozone and
cast my eyes to Heaven’s Crayola-glory.
Crystalline stars are dancing down,
blanketing the now white ground;
cascading glass against the sky,
intermingles with the stars tonight.
The frigidity of the spectral trees
light-shimmering, their foliage be;
our footprints crunch crisp, snowy ground,
as together we stroll through the town.
We cast our eyes up to the heavens,
of shooting stars, we counted eleven
and make wishes for peace and harmony
and dream of next Spring's verdancy.

The glide of our fervid breath
intermingles,
caressing the sultry air.
It settles on blush
of lavender, vanilla, and musk.
As lips contour silence in soft strokes,
we smolder in rush of blood.
Limbs languish under silk
of summer haze,
recharging the still of night.

My trusting eyes lock onto yours,
letting you see the inner me.
And our hearts embrace in silence,
speaking in ways others can't see.
My warm breath caresses your skin,
letting you feel my heart on fire.
And our spirits meld into one,
forged by passion's flames of desire.
My probing tongue explores your mouth,
letting you savor love's essence.
And we indulge in pleasures found
in mutual acquiescence.
My throbbing heart pulses wildly,
letting you hear its pounding beat.
And as our souls embrace, we dance;
without ever moving our feet.
My sweat intermingles with your sweat,
letting you smell the scent of love.
And we inhale love's fragrances,
as musky odors waft above.
My fingers gently massage you,
letting you know how much I care.
And we enter a world of bliss;
tethered to a smile, soulmates share.
The Pebbles (Kunjarra)
By

The Pebbles a sacred site near Tennant Creek
A mass of granite boulders spewed from beneath
Surrounded by wind swept plains of red dirt
A relative of Karlu Karlu/ The Devils Marbles
…
A place of eerie dreamtime long time past
Aboriginal women and girls… Hairy Women
Dancing in the twilight… The Munga Munga
Sacred to Women, ritual rites, Mothering business
…
Sunrise and sunset a changing spectrum
Of red and purple on the Pebbles boulders
Intertwining beams filter and color the surrounds
Creating an experience of dreamtime long ago
…
No place for men, their spirit excluded
Only women and girls meet and greet at the Pebbles
For hidden within the boulders the spirits of old
Awake… eerie creepy moments that interrupt sleep
…
Visit and take away an experience of dreamtime
The Pebbles transport you back in time
Relive the vibrant Munga Munga dance
When the sunset intermingles with the Pebbles
Though wise be the voice
of each passing season
I am becoming the wisdom
of mine and others reason
While connections with genius
I seldom barter
Understanding life’s courses
makes me feel smarter
Possibilities garnered
where creativity assembles
I am attracted with passion
where love intermingles
Kindness finds wealth
wherein happiness dwells
Courage is limitless
with compassion my living well
Beauty is divided equally
among all entities living
I am prayerfully of those
that, for the most, is forgiving
Confidence often lacking
though faith within churns
I am an accumulation
of many lessons learned
Serenity often escapes
when heartache is near
so I am always grateful
for my Fathers listening ear
Connections I’ve made
with His love unconditional
for me is pure joy
and not just traditional

I see in your precious smile
An endless road,
Perhaps infinite,
With a wide eyed innocence
That journey’s beyond
What sight can see.
Contentment fills your face
As vivid as a rainbow’s arc
Through fine mist
Ever hinting of a loftier place--
A sacred place that dwells within.
My gaze falls upon a mature soul
Still nurtured in the bud of youth,
Who retains a wisdom of many lifetimes.
Your gentle guidance inspires your
Parents to reach for the unattainable.
I remain awestruck
By your radiating aura
As it intermingles with mine,
Leaving me exalted in knowing
You are a gift divine.
*Dedicated to my two year old Grandson Brody
Autumn skies beckon
As ochre intermingles
With battleship greys
Silhouetted shapes
Against the impending bleak
Declare summers end

she wears his name
but calls mine
she called him "my love"
but said i'm "fine"
in fact me and him
shared the same places
i often wonder
if she intermingles our faces
don't get me wrong
i know we all have a past
but because he was first
doesn't mean i'm last
my blood flows through veins
as real as your own
my heart still yearns
for our happy home
i know pain is life
and life is pain
but i know in my heart
you should wear my #@$!%! name
Memories so fondly savored
Sad times forgotten in the race
Closely holding moments favored
That were once so common place
Whisper thrills swift fingered riffs
Linger ghosting in my mind
Soft melodic intermingles
Nostalgic stroking intertwined
Sweet bravado overcomes us
Leaning in to touching minds
Words aflow in rushing reason
Like leaves within their blushing season
While harvest time unwinds
Thus we try to stem the flow
Holding to each other so
Singing softly as we go
Of times too long ago
(friend wrote a melody....this is a too trite try at words)
