Independents Poems | Examples

Teenagers

Teenagers
Tired of being harassed
By your stupid parents
Act now
Stuppidly wanted
Pack your bags and your irrigants
Get up off your ass
Get a job
Fill out an application
Pay your own bills
Because you know everything
You know more than me
Your phone bill will sky rocket
I don’t have a clue
I don’t want to see red sirens
Put your big boy pants on
Don’t ask me for any more money
You can pay for your very own $900 rent payment
Don’t forget a roll of quarts for the laundry matt
Use paper plates
Don’t be crying to me
I don’t want to hear it
You are dying for your own independents
It’s time to do adult things
Enjoy

Oh, the 2024 U.S. Presidential election race,
as I ponder on it with my head's empty space.
Our nation is so out of joint,
our political differences at a breaking point,
with name calling rife in online blogs,
I would rather listen to bellowing bullfrogs.

Republicans, Democrats, Independents,
liberal, moderate, conservative, it's malevolent,
people attacking each other,
well, if I had my druthers,
I'd nominate my hound dog mix, Beau
for President,
he'd legislate from a canine-run government.
He makes more sense than a lot of people do,
the inept Secret Service can pick up his poo.

In three months this election mess will come
to us voters so weary,
I think many of us will be bleary.
Keep your nerves steady,
and get the popcorn ready. ~

Premium MemberAmerican Politics

The Republicans want a particular thing,
The Democrats all want another,
The President tries to put his two cents in,
The Independents would, but why bother?
Republicans will tear a referendum to bits,
Democrats will, of course, shout its praises.
The issues on which they unanimously agree
Involve session adjournments and congressional raises.

He Wore a Mask Not To Be Recognized

WE HEARD HIM SAY"
The Peolpe Will make him a DRAW!

"They read off names of
guys liklyto replace him
and he just sat thre like nothing was wrong.
muscle men
Rich men
Crafty cagey men
more atheletic men
Phyc gimmicky men

if he losses he'll
get booged and brawled
out wrested and pumpled
he'll stand tall and will cheat
and be seen as crafty until
he gets his bearings.
he'll redefind the term
Champion.
People shoul invite this guy
to there promotion and give him trophy's.
The day he loses the title
all those guys can stand
and claim him as
the World champion.
It's a two handled paddle it flips
to the handlers favor.
people will become legends by challenging him.
And he won't ever get the
recognition he deserves.
Trophy this guy up in the independents
and give wrestling fans there real champion!"

Everyone jumps on the wagon, professing to see.
To feel, to taste, to be enamored and endeared by the man.
He is our hero, they say; I see a distortion, a blurry abnormality.
They see someone to cherish, I see someone who makes me shriek.

What kind of glasses are you using? My cousin asks.
He examines me, starting with my teeth.
I see yellow, brown and gray, I say.
I have no idea how you see red, white and blue in this moron.

I get thrown out of the family. They accuse me of being an independent.
I am overjoyed, because I am an independent.
They begin a chant about independents.
It is disparaging and mean.

I see them more easily now, understanding what went wrong.
No wonder my view had always been drippy and blurry.
I head back to the neon lights of the city,
Remembering now that leaving ensured I would live.

                         For Canada's Prime Minister,
            I want Justin Trudeau to remain;
sure he has made some very big political mistakes,
would the Conservatives or Independents do better !

                        They would be much worse,
Justin is a young leader and has much to learn still;
but, he is loved all over the world for his serenity !

      Justin never loses his composure,
            like in the recent pipeline USA cancellation;
he knew it was time to accept defeat !

Justin knows how to say sorry I made a mistake,
I am willing to give him a chance to grow and become great;
                          he has my vote !
        Think Conservatives or Independents are better;
                      you are kidding right !

Premium MemberMy 2021 United States of America Visionary Vision-

Visions of unity lesser amounts of discord and cruelty.
I envision 2021 USA above the rise and not sinking.
My visionary burst of New Year of blessed hope.
I see a calm, we’re all in awe.
With raised arms all colors, forgiveness at the cress.
A cure for Covid a giant prayer circle missions birth some more compassionate hearts.
I see in my reality United States of America more united.
I see in my heart of hearts new independents, new liberties.
I see in my mind’s eye rampant dancing in the streets.
I see in my soul Jesus coming yet evermore, closer.
I see Him maybe parting the skies just before sunrise as the light of the world.
Every knee bowed, all tongues confessed.
Mankind, humanity knows not the time Jesus comes back.
But alas, most of my vision for 2021 of United States of America a new blessed hope.

Premium MemberVirtues

Nationalities, cultures, customs
All peoples of our planet Earth
Liberals, Conservatives, Independents
My take for what it's worth

Tolerance, sensitivity, understanding
Of other ideas and concepts
Tenderness, kindness, gentleness
Such admirable qualities to be kept

Passionate, Patience, Peacefulness
All belonging to nature's creed
Generous, honourable, unselfishness
A hand to someone in need

Farsightedness, courtesy, flexibility
The die is cast when we're born
Innovator, inventor, or pioneer
A leader with passion so warm

Excellent characteristics these virtues
We seek them all of our lives
A balance derived from honour
The pinnacle for which we strive

My Way Is the Right Way

Hitler says
My way is the right way
Kim, Jong-Woon says
My way is the right way
Republicans, Democrats, Independents say
Our way is the right way
Liberals, Conservatives, Men, Women say
Our way is the right way

Buddha says
My way is the enlightened way
Jesus says
My way is the god’s way
Mohamad says
My way is the Allah’s way

No wonder why we have
Wars
Divorces
Killings
Divisions
Strikes
All because we believe
Our ways are the right ways

What’s the solution?

Respect other ways
Learn to live together
With differences
.
.
.

But what about the dictators?

Talking to my brother is always a treat, neither of us is ever up in the air.
Our politics are practically identical, our strong feelings so completely out there.
We can speak Republican and Democrat without a thought or care.
We are both registered Independents, and type A blood types, truly square.
We have a lovely phone time once a week, a conversation we do fair.
We don’t speak of religious things, however, as our thoughts do not compare.

They're a Little Bit confusing
By Franklin Price
1/28/2016

They're a little bit confusing
This current body politic
They point fingers, change their minds
And make my stomach sick

Some running to be president
Highest seat within the land
Have experience in everything
Their ignorance is grand

Claim they're not establishment
Yet they know everything
The might relent to tell you why
If you will kiss their ring

They spout and shout and posture
Say how the other ones are jerks
Exemplify the Peter Principle
If elected they won't work

Check out both the parties
And the Independents too
Check out all their records
Find out if there's one for you

If you read the constitution
You'll find the president's a perk
'Cause it really doesn't matter much
If the congress would just work

Lighthouses

I’m standing solemnly contemplating
How ageing lighthouses independents
Have become Maritimes normality
With beacons becoming statutory

Now standing shimmering silhouetted
You’re shining flawlessly undemanding
The hopeful monument oblivious
To seamen’s abounding adorations

Lets have a toast for the assholes
Lets have a toast for the dirtbags

Lets have a toast for the lovers
Lets have a toast for the successful
Lets have a toast for the truthers
Its not all your work independents

Lets have a toast for the gooks
Lets have a toast for the guidos
Lets have a toast for the gringos
Lets have a toast for the jigaboos
Nothing wrong with you

Lets have a toast for the freedom
Lets have a toast for the liberty
Lets have a toast for the human rights
Lets have a toast for the awaken
Its time to have a toast

Lets have a toast
For creation
lets have a toast
For being alive
Lets have a toast
