Hurry Poems

Premium MemberPlease Do Not Hurry To Grow Up

Please do not hurry to grow up,
innocent days will pass like dust
in winds of time both swift and sure.

Bring me one more dandelion,
I'll make a wish for you to stay
within my heart if near or far.

If your laughter I could capture,
I would keep it locked in a safe
and bring it out on rainy days.

Innocent days will pass like dust,
bring me one more dandelion~
please do not hurry to grow up!

Premium MemberBetter Hurry

Dear Future Generations,

We were selfish and thought only of ourselves
This is why the ozone layer is dead, and you will soon be extinct.
Do not blame yourself for the abundance of rats and explosive landfills.
This too is our fault; we thought only of ourselves.

We were insane consumers, who bought everything in bulk.
Generations before us were busier; they did not have conveniences.
Everything was convenient for us – buying online was convenient.
Making meals was convenient, being selfish was convenient.

We thought of ourselves first, others last.
We were the first generation to do this, and you are paying for it.
We fracked and lumberjacked until the trees and veins of gold were gone.
Please do better than we did but hurry. Your time is limited thanks to us.

Sincerely, The selfish generation

Wait Hurry

Wait, Hurry,
               Wait, Hurry,
                            .... What?!

                                     Times, .... Sought!

Premium MemberSlow Down

Slow down.
Catch your breath.
Going too fast.
To where? You don’t know!
But you’ve got to get there. Can’t be slow.
Can’t be late.
Hurry. Hurry. You have to do something.
Don’t know what.
But you want what you want – NOW.
It’s all about you. Be aware. Be wise.
Slow down.
You’re missing the best while striving for the unknown.

Roaming, radiant remedies

Premium MemberYou Say you're in a Hurry

You say you're in a hurry,
and you want to pass a bus,
but you have a li'l worry -
A hiding cop - a mean cuss.

The bus displays a stop sign.
You think you have bad luck.
To pass it should be just fine.
The cop wants you to be stuck.

Hold on just a minute, ace.
Best to be a little late,
lest a life you can replace.
Now, shut your mouth and wait.

Premium MemberHurry

  Hurry, get there on time
    Can’t afford to be late
      The world never waits
  Move, hustle, push and shove
    You’ve a date with love

  Destiny requires a destination
     a solution, resolution
       betimes reconstitution
  Move, hustle, push and shove
    You’ve a date with love

  States of agitation
    test maturation
      rise above defamation
  Move, hustle, push and shove
     You’ve a date with love…

  It’s over, my fool
    it never was cool
      the world's ever cruel

Premium Memberwhats your hurry

Stella was gorgeous, like a valentine box
Charlie got his boots on, to accidentally run into her
What’s your hurry? Asked his mother.
Knowing full well who was out there.

Premium MemberLove Need Never Hurry

You hold my hand
aware of capacity
for bonding

hands can do that
fingers fond conduits
palms firm suctions
of secure presence

hands yielding
while they also solidify
the mystery of divine
grasp – adhesive nature
of caring touch, giving
while receiving
taking possession with
tender balance of freedom

Love need never hurry

ageless and timeless
the Royal Flush of Hearts

Premium MemberYou Can'T Hurry Taste

Dragon tea with just the right amount of spice
sipped slowly by the sifting of the hourglass
each flavor is a burst on my tongue, how nice
to be able to enjoy this brew of muted brass

With a glass mug the color of emerald gleam
I can easily sit and day dream all day
giving my frazzled nerves a break I redeem
myself, as I drink leisurely at bay

Its Chai with a tidy bite of cinnamon and clove
as I sample at turtle pace I enjoy every bit
of this awesome refreshment, love, love, love
it, its my time out from the world as I know it

no greater pleasure than an afternoon of poetry
and a great cup of tea that you just can't hurry.

Premium MemberHurry Fall

Dog
days of
summer are
lingering long,
taking their toll as
lethargy grabs hold.
So I pray:
Hurry
Fall!

Premium MemberHurry

Hurry up my dear, now.
Hasten, I’ll show you how.
Habitually late!
High time, they will not wait.
History, you will see.
Haste is a courtesy.
Honestly please hurry!

Never Wait For Permission

Only wait for a timely opportunity, alike space on road, then gently squeeze in, it is not any world's job to give you permission to be you, only to tell you how much of you you can show, it is 100 percent your job to give yourself breath and only you control how prepared you let yourself become and how well you prepare your piece and when you show it. Two tricky points...let time and heartbeat of piece dictate its perceived effect, there is no best time. There Is absolutely however worst times, when it is times of distress or you feel like you are rushing...it is best to not show it unless you have the floor, even when rushingit is as good a time as any...you waited that long.

Premium MemberGood Neighbor

As we sat for a quick evening snack
A knock on our door came with a smack.
A thoughtful lady whom we adore,
Our sweet grey-haired neighbor from next door,
Brought dinner, dessert, and candlelight,
With a string quartet for our delight.
Living as a pair in a hurry
We forgot our anniversary!
