In the winter
it is more difficult

to be animals in the forest
When the thermometer
creeps below zero )
and no food to be found

But all animals
have their solutions )
about how to

the cold season
It is most critical )
for small bodies
Through millions of years )
the mice go to sleep from October
They know that ... )
cold means life or death )))

Shape
Coffee aroma tingling the nostrils, glow of the first sun ray on the skin,
pleasant sight of a blooming flower--all have become bygone,
since man is busy chasing money.
Smile of a baby, beauty of a drizzle have been forgotten.
he is so focused on goal that he no longer
looks at the field he is playing in.
Greed to be at the top,has de-humanised him.
everything has become a battle and each one a warrior.
is this really what a life is worth?
everything in the nature enjoys being itself and lives in harmony except for us.
he is the only one who keeps track of time and chases it
down but in vain.
in the midst of tall and glass buildings he forgot the shade of trees.
he progressed in tech but fears himself.
invented weapons but always afraid of the inner self.
talks good but thinks bad.
no one has set alarm button for life except for man.
schedules fare for machines but man is living in it,
though when its hell, making others jump in the well.
A river does not create a new flow but flows to create a path.
only flows forward and never looks back what it has gone through.
not bothering about the journey.vigorously flowing ,assimilating so many new things.
A beautiful world is to be enjoyed now,not yesterday nor tomorrow.
An hour spent with nature is worth more than thousand lives.
Hope a day comes when man lives his life and letting others do the same.

Santa's stuck inside my chimney this year
His tummy's too big and so is his rear
I saw him hanging there
I'm filled with despair
Because on my roof are his eight reindeer
Rudolph's shiny red nose is much too bright
And it continues to blink through the night
It glows in my window
While Santa cries, "No, No No!"
They're both driving me nuts. It is my plight
Three days in and Santa's become smelly
No food should've slenderized his belly
No hearth fire can I burn
You'd think Santa would learn
To stay away from the North Pole Deli!
Finally, skinny enough to slip through
He quickly asked, "Where the heck is your loo?"
I pointed to the door
His pants dropped to the floor
I held my nose from the yucky stench... EWWW
I washed his suit until it was soot free
He thanked me for my hospitality
I had something for him
A gift card to a gym
What a weird Christmas it had been for me
There's one important thing I've left to do
Clear my backyard of all the reindeer poo
Four days worth of their s - - t
Made my yard a cess pit
I should've called a hazardous waste crew
I sent a letter north to tell Mrs. Claus
Why there were dark brown stains in Santa's drawers
I thought she should know
That when he had to go
Stuck in my chimney, chubbiness the cause

Airports; people and planes,
Traffic jams and baggage claim.
Noisy, rumbling, to the gate I'm
running.
Looking at the screen for my flight,
Delayed? What is causing this
madness?
Dragging my bags; this way and
that.
Smoking lounge, where are you at?
Find a store, buy a book, gum and
a key-chain.
Drinking coffee, in a hurry, spilling
on my shirt - a stain.
Sigh. Get to gate, sit down, relax
with a napkin. Why stain, why ruin
my day?
All around they are yapping,
howling, and barking.
Making no sense, but they
understand.
Nodding and smiling. Switching
flights they're exhausted.
On the phone, on the laptop, on
the floor doing push-ups.
Need to email, need to talk, need
to connect. Why not send, an SMS?
Smiling, I look around and laugh.
plug in my headphones, pull out
the laptop and connect.

Burnished pheasant,
Repulsed by noon's bright sunshine,
Rasping brazenly,
Calls the plump hens to his side...
Hurry to him, concubines.

Hurry Up and Wait
Sir, permission to speak, major sir. Go ahead, private.
Sir, what time is the 10 o'clock inspection, major sir?
You mean the ten hundred hours inspection, private?
Sir, yes sir, I mean ten hundred hours inspection, sir.
The inspection will be at ten hundred hours, private.
Sir, yes sir, however we've been standing here since
ten hundred hours for thirty minutes now, major sir.
It will be ten hundred hours when I say it is, private,
as he checks his watch, waits for the colonel to arrive.
Will I ever get the military out of my mind, must each
situation become another army wrinkle in time? While
I wait thirty minutes past my 10 o'clock appointment,
ponder if I should be the private, ask the receptionist
how much longer until my 10 o'clock job interview or
take the role of major and wait for the colonel to arrive.

You hold my hand
aware of capacity
for bonding
hands can do that
fingers fond conduits
palms firm suctions
of secure presence
hands yielding
while they also solidify
the mystery of divine
grasp – adhesive nature
of caring touch, giving
while receiving
taking possession with
tender balance of freedom
Love need never hurry
ageless and timeless
the Royal Flush of Hearts

A bullfrog jumped into my eye socket today.
Pushed my retina aside, and was clearly on his way.
I can feel him jumping around. My sight is blurry.
Doctor, please come quick, as if you are in a hurry.

Light Verse
Hurry up my dear, now.
Hasten, I’ll show you how.
Habitually late!
High time, they will not wait.
History, you will see.
Haste is a courtesy.
Honestly please hurry!

Hurry, get there on time
Can’t afford to be late
The world never waits
Move, hustle, push and shove
You’ve a date with love
Destiny requires a destination
a solution, resolution
betimes reconstitution
Move, hustle, push and shove
You’ve a date with love
States of agitation
test maturation
rise above defamation
Move, hustle, push and shove
You’ve a date with love…
It’s over, my fool
it never was cool
the world's ever cruel

Granitic testaments
sprout unstoppable
over the hill.
I know by heart
the graveyard.
Next to the wall
first maple on the left
past the bell tower,.
our stone stands,
room for one more.
Will my final twinkling
come quick, unexpectedly,
or slowly dressed in gray breaths
as mourning doves nest
in the eaves?
In any case, don’t feel obligated to
visit my engraved memory
under which I’m really not.
If you do, when you go
leave the gate firmly latched.

The second in a series of poems about my cheeky grandson, Luke
Hurry up, Luke we’re going to be late
Get your head out of the garden gate
Don’t know what you put it there for
You’ve got it stuck three times before
At the other side there’s nothing new
So why go sticking your head right through
Oh! It’s stuck again; don’t get in a flutter
Hang in there I’ll fetch the butter
A bit of grease behind the ear
Will get you out so never fear
It is rude you know to make people wait
So hurry up Luke, we’re going to be late.

Limerick : Once a sick Sikh in a great hurry
Once a sick Sikh in a great hurry
Went to see a doctor after (a) hot curry
He hurried back mid-way
You know why so don’t bray
Now (he) sees doctors only when merry.
or
Since (he) sees doctors under a lorry
or
Now he sees proctors I’m so sorry.

Christmas Day will be here soon.
It’s my very favorite time of year.
If I’ve been good…I have you know...
Then Santa Claus will visit here.
What will Santa bring for Christmas?
That’s all I want to know
Or even think about until he comes
With his reindeer, through the snow.
Did Santa read the list I mailed?
Could I get a stocking full of coal?
Gosh, I hope not. I’ve tried all year
To be just as good as gold.
Oh, the Happiness of Christmas…
I remember my own glee.
Momma! Daddy! Look what Santa left
Underneath our Christmas tree!
Older now, I still love Christmas;
But certainly for different reasons.
More important now than gifts
Are Peace & Love & Giving…
The truest message of the Season.
Have yourself a Very Merry Christmas,
A safe and happy New Years too.
Rejoice the Holiday Season!
That’s my Christmas Wish for you.
And as we celebrate this Christmas,
Enjoying merriment & mirth;
Pause to be thankful for God’s Greatest Gift,
Our Loving Savior’s Birth.
