syrup spit in my ear
teaching me how to slide
and
she the hip hop record
out the san francisco's
out of the san francisco
hurdled dirty
exchange rates
mastering the filthy turn
broken horn memories
adjacent his new coats
he had and hadn't given
away
how he wound down towns
spendings is spring
weathers are drying deserts
behind her eyes
so depressing sad
how about some ice cubing
and she would run home
alone
just couldn't get around
to their name

As the parched earth sighed
Mother nature orchestrated
The grandest show on earth
Thunder rolled on invisible drums
Cymbals of lightening clapped
As dancing raindrops lined up
To cool down the heat of the sun
Curtains of dark clouds parted
As dancing raindrops twirled
And descended unfurled
Smoothing out the rumpled leaves
Sliding down window panes
Smoothing out those heated frowns
Dancing raindrops whirling into town
A raindrop catching it’s breath
Sitting on a blooming flower
Sparkling in the twilight hour
Raindrops hurdled together
In little muddy pools children
Splashing laughter so cool
Catching silent raindrops in
Little hands with little help
From the wind reeling out
Raindrops from a giant spool!

Quote: Know your value. Confidence breeds success. Act like the person you want to become, and people will start seeing you as that person.
Mark M Ford
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Those who embrace, avid ambitions of heart,
To them shall the reigns of future belong;
From charted path of passion, they never part
For earnest is the promise treasured for long.
O, how they strive, aiming for heavenly skies,
Flexing audaciously to conquer higher highs,
Fixated on life’s goals with purposeful eyes,
Focused mindfully, primed to win the prize.
On might of confidence when achievers roar,
On strength of willpower their dreams soar
Employing fortitude resolutely brought to fore,
Sailing to shores, dreamt in travails of yore.
Glumness they defy of shroud and sorrow,
Planting seeds of hope in despair of woes,
Aspiring bright horizons on dawns of morrow
Overcoming hapless shadows cast in throes.
O, the doers and believers instinctively know,
Hurdled with failures is the road to success,
As they drive dreary nights to mornings aglow,
Fueled by aspirations, dreams revered possess.

Hurdled is life’s highway to every milestone:
Detours, traffic woes~ impediments to goal,
Perturbing in hindrances that endlessly groan
Searching exit ramp to soothe anguished soul.
Though memories of yore, of pain bemoan,
Benevolence of today vows to mold morrow,
Prodding fate of future~ opaque, unknown,
Defying grievous intents in ill-will of sorrow.
Wished for earnestly, life is a cherished dream,
An exuberance of spring, of burbling stream,
A meaningful exploration of endearing theme;
Mystical, phenomenal, halo of mirthful gleam.
Life is a fleeting dot on scale of eternal time,
A journey of courage, yet harbinger of fears;
Gracefully revering the echoes of lifetime,
Whether reveling in joy or lamenting in tears.
Rejoice in life’s sunset, rejoice in life’s sunrise,
Greet charming smiles, yet ignore not its sighs,
Celebrate spring’s birth, mourn autumn’s demise,
Cheer life’s welcome, dwell not in goodbyes.

Tossed about through the turbulence of life,
Confusion remains to search for a seed.
As if the eye of the hurricane seeks direction,
Only to find no compass for its need.
Does this curious resolve weaken & wobble,
Or grow stronger through the effort & quest ?
While every response creates another,
And chaos may contribute to severely test.
The desire that looks to an unknown horizon,
May often see emptiness to follow despair.
Yet choice must pierce through this fog & veil,
With enough light that can guide to remain fair.
This journey is seldom without consequence,
As obstacles become present and abound.
So whether hurdled, avoided, or plowed through . . .
Overcoming them must be found.
While the question remains fundamental,
There are billions of answers to be observed.
With each one's unique testament,
Tracing a morality rarely hidden or reserved.
Ultimately, this inquiry is survived upon,
By those to judge while reflecting their own view.
Just as current events & history tend to remind us . . .
Not everything seen or heard is always true.

In realm of love when passions stirred
Song of romance fervent hearts heard
In tenor we knew, rhythms that woo,
Strummed by music our desires spurred.
Oh! how that realm blooms love so true
As tunes of warmth birds sing for you,
From woods that sway as soft winds blow
When moon scripts clues on skyline blue;
Of dreamy night that gleamed with glow,
Of stars that waltzed to stage our show,
When we vowed beneath lambent skies,
Sprouts of love~~ shall forever grow;
While glance of joy thrills cheery eyes
Where love-flame kindles, never dies,
And dreams cherished, long to revive,
Nights we rejoice, snug in love's prize.
On life’s hurdled streets where we drive
From wheels of hope strength we derive
While we climb steep high ways of life,
Hand in hand, we steer fate and thrive.

Everyday, with all my heart, I thank God* jubilantly…
for His uncountable endowments:
breath of life---
especially the enjoyment of free oxygen
verily costly in the infirmary’s intensive care unit;
strength to accomplish goals---
despite challenges hurdled
against toils’ stress and burn-out’s afflictions;
reaching-out and serving sessions---
for relationship-building and bonding intimacy
sharing blessings, spreading love: truly fulfilling;
faith-increase along spiritual empowerment---
midst divine fellowships with my soul Lover
there on the altar of devotional serenity;
wondrous relaxation---
restive against pressures so torturous
gracious respite as short breaks;
poem writing moments---
creative prowess at work
of marvelous bliss only my Master can grant.
*2Timothy 1:3 I thank God, whom I serve…

Why is it
I ask myself
I always go back
Infatuated by the quest
Of those who see me
As nothing more
Than a grain of sand
Being hurdled against the shore
By their breaking waves
Taught too young
That this is love
I can’t seem to escape
The habits of a broken girl
Looking to mend
In the those who will only brake her more

A lover so devoted,
A lover so besotted!
From adolescence to being a man,
He grew to be as passionate as he can!
Blossomed in the learning years,
Moonstruck he followed,
She flew to chase her dream dear;
Heartache he swallowed!
New at work, a pair of gray eyes,
Locked in a smile;
Heart swooned, touched skies,
Smitten again, been a while!
Her prince awaited in greener land,
Behind was a weeping knight,
Barren, just thorn and sand,
He chained his heart tight!
She smelled of thousand roses,
Mellow, soft and kind;
Her care imposes,
“Its love", states the mind!
Head over heel,
Inflamed with love,
She too feels,
Enamored two doves!
Committed for life,
To be husband and wife!
Hurdled, reluctant kith and kin,
Away he flew, to tell love was no sin!
Curious all, waited long,
To hear the Lover's victorious song!
A lover so devoted,
A lover so besotted!
News spread, the gallant returned,
Quenched would be the hearts that yearned!
Spotted with a new face beside,
When asked, “It was his new bride”!

“She” rested the long probed brisk of silence,
The subject was finally far from ambivalence
The enigmatic answer hurdled through to find the way,
Thereby, making their togetherness more than a “they”.
“She” gladly wished and thanked the promise of sacrifice,
For “they” were ready to bequeath what’s to suffice.
“They” marveled their faith in the valley of hopefulness,
The 9 months of their true wait was filled with pure happiness.
Days of complete anticipation and thunder vastly grew
The final awaited moment endorsed, time infinitely flew.
As for the first time ever, a cry and a laugh coupled on the girth,
For that was what it was, the beautiful miracle of birth.

Said Thomas
I a hustling peddler,
hungry mouths to feed.
Do you know what's it's like
to stare upon hunger!
especially that of a child!
Tackled and hurdled to the ground like an animal.
Silent eyes stare,
Jaws stretch down,
Lips hanging,
Air stalls,
Hairs raised,
No cry,
No words,
just traumatizing disgust.
This a moment needs no oxygen.
The world stands still.
Anguish is silent,
- who will question a lunatic cop with a gun.
You!
You!
You!
Then who?
I Thomas!
was
Someone's Son,
Someone's husband,
Someone's father,
Yes,
Now I have
hungry fatherless children.
Who will stand for them,
Replace my love,
Cuddle them with nice things,
Send them to college,
the killer COP?
Who intentionally shot
and took the life out of me.

Gold with shining yellow blaze
As if born out of golden sun rays
Precious, prestigious since ages
Gives to the hearts boiling crazes
Glitters in the crown of the kings
Gives the needy powerful wings
Looks so blameless and winning
But makes crazy hearts cunning
Its force of influence is stunning
It makes every stability running
It is so handsome and masculine
That it is loved by every feminine
But its real cost is in its character
It down casts every other factor
It’s capable of changing the world
Its way through is never hurdled
May God grant all heart like gold
Shining with the thoughts bold
Pure, long lasting and faithful
Rich by heart and ever cheerful
