A lover so devoted, A lover so besotted! From adolescence to being a man, He grew to be as passionate as he can! Blossomed in the learning years, Moonstruck he followed, She flew to chase her dream dear; Heartache he swallowed! New at work, a pair of gray eyes, Locked in a smile; Heart swooned, touched skies, Smitten again, been a while! Her prince awaited in greener land, Behind was a weeping knight, Barren, just thorn and sand, He chained his heart tight! She smelled of thousand roses, Mellow, soft and kind; Her care imposes, “Its love", states the mind! Head over heel, Inflamed with love, She too feels, Enamored two doves! Committed for life, To be husband and wife! Hurdled, reluctant kith and kin, Away he flew, to tell love was no sin! Curious all, waited long, To hear the Lover's victorious song! A lover so devoted, A lover so besotted! News spread, the gallant returned, Quenched would be the hearts that yearned! Spotted with a new face beside, When asked, “It was his new bride”!
