Once I was wandering in my backyard to scan the previously latent place,
The ongoing search was for a rare herb blessed with divine grace.
My senses compelled me to go each step forward in slow but steady pace,
That place was so silent and latent that something unknown was creeping in solace.
A Sudden break of silence with hissing sounds grips the entire space,
Oh! An elegant black cobra fighting with a clever cat in the nature's palace.
Looked like a routine work to be performed by two super flexy guys without suffering,
The situation is evenly poised where no one is voluntarily retreating.
The snake stood tall and dare to look into the fiery eyes of the stranger and clever cat.
The valiant cat with quick reflexes carefully dodges the poisonous with tit for tat.
I reacted and disrupted this endless dwell as my delicate herb was suffocating,
Finally both the agressive creatures left the place with a deep and divine briefing.
while I was drawing the dragon
with Sharpies, Crayola markers,
a silver, metallic brush marker,
and Chalk Writers
in bright pink and mint
(all from the dollar tree)
which I mischievously
borrowed from my son’s room,
I was talking to mom.
I might have had
just a little bit of very legal
ha-ha hemp
before I discovered
that sharpies can
be blended on canvas
just like paint.
The half-dry lime green
turned a lighter shade
than forest, with just
a swirl of the
imagination.
I took many poetic liberties
and nonsensical giggles
when I gave the intruding,
angry dragon on the left
silver spots to mock
his prejudiced personality.
‘Herb,
The Vegetarian
Dragon.’
is one of my favorite
children’s books
for this month
of every year.
But Herb,
vegetarian or not,
you still look
ridiculous.
MINT, my favourite herb, sharp yet sweet
Invigorating, cooling, balancing menthol beats
Nautical it tastes, flavouring salads or pasta neat
Tantalising sensation, delicious for bodily treats
Sage healing
Great properties
"holy herb"
I am walking around Basel
The city not the herb
I’m not doing a Basel
Because Basel is not a verb
The streets spew tongue twisters
From mouths of many shapes
Beautiful river vistas
With succulent seedless grapes.
In a few hours I wish to emigrate
Set up my life in this efficient city
After a while I understand
It’s not that good, it’s a pity
I’m leaving this multi-lingual haven
Flying to a single language home
knowing the food in the railway station
will satisfy the fussiest gastronome.

Saman’s herb
Oh, samans, from the past, from exotic lands, thank you for my new life
Thank you for my new dreams, perspectives, hope, fantasy, and fate
Yes, a blocked life got a new direction in his life of you – goodbye past
Oh, Samans! I love your life, your first tea was a great blessing to my life
I never forgot the dream after the first cup of tea – three old samans see
See my face through the endless field of the dream – my loved masters
My life is yours in the Light, you are my spiritual fathers in the future of life
Let me be your kind, give the old histories, and lives, and write in the past
I got your spirits in the tea, living with me your past in the futuristic present
In the present, it’s always going for the future, past moments give us life
Let my heart like yours, kind of a soul of a saman – thank my new life
I love you, timeless masters in the space of past, present, and future of life

Loretta Devil
Loretta Devil
She thinks she's queen of the hill
When she's hitting that herb at will
The smack of her lips, the glaze in her stare
All the people beware
She's like a star with no skill
Watch out for Loretta Devil
At first you think she's deranged
But then you smell that skunk on the range
And realize her eyes are so red
Nothing makes since in the things that she said
She thinks her singing is surreal
But it's nothing but shrill
She's having the time of her life
Dancing with her pink pinguins all high
She was a wholesome lady
Until she got on that green lady
Poor Loretta
Loretta Devil
As the flame of his lighter danced,
I was momentarily so entranced.
As I began to prepare my pipe,
For herb for I am so ready and ripe.
Now Foreign Medicine, next Forest Herb,
Heart rate jumps, floored figure in a kerb;
Emergency phoning of a doc
Won't to acting like the Hardest Rock
"Doc, please, what do I do: I mean, now?
Also say 'How' or I'm a dead cow,"
From now on Doc to know about it.
Every fancied healer, full or split...
One's clear challenge to be circumspect
And ideas of True Restraint respect
Time and again think in retrospect
And - yes - keep minding that sly aspect;
If not careful rouse sleeping down
And sympathizers crowd in one's room.
Lavish wicked exile
Florid amends futile
Beware o’ noxious veins
Fatal nature remains
Faultless lulling bell
Malign lethal quell
Belladonna most fair
Nary mercy to spare
Lavender-hued bane
Deceit assured reign
Hush now carnal lilt
Expiry nigh upon wilt
Ne’er partake blithe sip
Toxic upon mortal lip
Alas formidable jane
Elixir harbors chicane

Microwave a mug of water with
A bag of Orange Spice herb tea ...
Long enough to make it hot,
But not burn your tongue – about 85 seconds.
Toss the tea bag and stir in two packets of Stevia, then
Choose today’s cocoa and measure out two rounded teaspoons.
Will it be Hershey’s,
Hershey’s Special Dark,
Trader Joe’s,
Or something more exotic?
Live a little – make a hybrid.
Stir and sip.
Don’t forget to wipe off the mustache.
Dunk in some Biscotti, or if you can afford it, Belgian Speculoos.
The writing on the wall
Explained it was “degenerate”.
Don’t ask me.
Nazis can be crabby.
He took it for the sign it was:
‘If they’d deface some matter of taste,
it’s only a matter of time ...’
So he booked and brooked the Rhine,
And came to Boston
And showed the kids
How he made his herb garden.
And when I was a kid
the kids he showed showed me,
Because there were no nazis in Boston.
Be like Karl and watch for signs:
Employees must wash hands.
Slippery when wet.
Wrong way.
Danger.
Stop.
The nazis wrecked his herb garden.
Herb Garden of Magic
Beloved grandson - child with autism - hyposensitive - embraces hugs, dancing and head pressure; designed for him, from our hearts, a magic place of scents and textures – pungent rosemary, feathery dill, aromatic mint, furry sage, sweetest balm and fragrant, woody lavender.

Just breathe in,
violet meadows,
lavender’s relaxing elixir,
passive perfume permeates
the olfactory,
ah...such sweet slumber!
