Figure It Out

Get your head outta the clouds, Kai
It's never gonna happen
F*cking figure it out, Kai
It's not meant to be

Live on the weakness of others?
So that when they are ill, we
loudly cheer and get our druthers?

Such is the likes of we, lost, poetic
humankind.
We, who claim to be sensitive and sweet,
are really ethically blind.

We march about like we are so
wonderfully humanistic?
Best look in the mirror, we are not kind
but totally bombastic.

We dance garbed in black, in the shadow
of the gallows.
Praying death comes soon to our hated
opposition fellows.

And so proud to print hate on these pages.
Humor disguised as death wishes and blood
curdling rages.

We cannot kill the person we hate with guns.
But our words can fully a destroy a country,
me, you or anyone!

Head In the Clouds

give me any highway to the beach
i am on it
i will walk off my job for a walk on the sand and a swim in the ocean

give me any rural road to the beach
i am on it
i will purchase peaches and guzzle down some cherry apple cider for a house
or a condo that is oceanfront and tranquil

give me 52, 95, 220, 601, or any other number to the beach
i am on it
i will set up ten....thousand GPS thingamajigs for a day on a boat with a fishing
rod in my hand

give me a sign, a billboard, or something with arrows to the beach
i am on it
i will put on my walking shoes and carry all my luggage with just for the overall feel
of it....PERIOD....

I go to bed
with my head in the clouds
dreaming of immortality

I wake up in bed
with my head in the sheets
having to face reality

Head In the Clouds

It could start with a wish
A wish to be away
Away from work
So you start to dream
What if...
I wonder…
Then your mind wonders
It could start with a leaf
A leaf on a beanstalk
A giant beanstalk that Jack climbed
So you try to focus
What did I miss…
I don’t get it…
Then you go back to dreaming
It could start with caramel
A caramel apple
Maybe applesauce
And then the bell rings
Time to get you head out of the clouds

Head In the Clouds

My head was up in the clouds
No daylight to be found.
White and gray clouds covered my sight
I could not see for my mind was in flight.
I looked all around and all I could see
Was the clouds covering me.

I felt like I was in a plane
And all the passengers seeing the same.

So I know I’m not the only one
Who feels this way
Millions of people go through this
From day to day.

It doesn’t matter to you what
The others are going through
Just that it’s happening to you.
You don’t like this feeling
of being up in the air
And with others your thoughts
You can not share.
Is this a sign of dementia or Alzheimer’s
Disease ,And can I set myself free.
They say “ the mind is a terrible thing to lose”
It is not something that we choose.
Will I forget my loved ones
And everything that’s around
Will I stumble and fall to the ground.

Right now we still have our faculties
But for how long will that be?
So let us continue to write while we can
For tomorrow we can not plan.
Write everything that you think
See and feel, for in the future
Your mind may reel.
Head up in the clouds? Who is to say.
Until the medical fields find a better way.

Head In the Clouds

My head is always in the clouds,

Away from life’s dreary sounds

My body feels so weightless

In the sky that I caress.

I’m often so forgetful

But it’s so easy when days are dull,

Perhaps I should care more

About walking through the future’s door.

But then my mind couldn’t ascend,

No longer having to bend

To the will of your decisions,

And your ineffective considerations.

I am unshackled from fate

With all this room; I no longer suffocate.

I will always stray from standard demeanor,

And I will always be who I am; a dreamer.

Head In the Clouds

We’ve been chasing stars
With butterfly net in our hands
We’ve been collecting words
The words to say when we pray

From down here
All we can see is dazzling stars
Without knowing they might be crying or lonely
But from the way we see them, they keep on sparkling

A feeling of lost is scattered inside our hearts
And hoping that someday we will be found
Bet we all know that this feeling is temporarily
We won’t run, we won’t hide away

At night, all we can hear is the sound of the wind
How it moves the leaves and the branches of the trees
In this cool night, we can only sit and thinking
That sometimes all we need is a heart to come home to
