Head In the Clouds

My head is always in the clouds, Away from life’s dreary sounds My body feels so weightless In the sky that I caress. I’m often so forgetful But it’s so easy when days are dull, Perhaps I should care more About walking through the future’s door. But then my mind couldn’t ascend, No longer having to bend To the will of your decisions, And your ineffective considerations. I am unshackled from fate With all this room; I no longer suffocate. I will always stray from standard demeanor, And I will always be who I am; a dreamer.
