Grateful Am I

I never imagined in my wildest dreams,
That I'd ever come to a village this small,
Where the mountains never end or so it seems,
And the songbirds herald the dawn with their call,
Life here is serene with no traffic to beat,
A golden sun and a star-filled sky to greet,
People caring and kind, and roads lined with trees,
Grateful to God for gifting me all of these.

Forever Grateful

Forever grateful
The Cross of Calvary is Eternal
There is room at the Cross so
Don’t toss your life on the banner of ruthlessness.
Darkness can't keep out the LIGHT because
There is still room at the CROSS
There is room for you and me!

The CROSS deals with Sin
His BLOOD washes away our sins
There is still room at the CROSS
There is still room in HIS KINGDOM
There is room for you and me!

The LIGHT is here to stay.
It will not fade away!
The blade of error will not stop the light.
Jesus rose from the GRAVE.
He is the ONE who saves our lives.

Forever grateful
The Cross of Calvary is Eternal

I hope heaven has pizza parlors, and little establishments with local craft beers. And jukeboxes with hits from the 50's. And good Italian ices. And drive-ins, and moonlight canoeing. And And And.............. The best of earth would be heaven enough for me.

Grateful every day

Thank God, let the praise
Overflow
From a simple table and a
Humble home
Hands all joined, every voice
In
Grace
Thank God, let our hearts
Give praise
Grateful every day
Hearts give praise
Dream every night
Let the sparks ignite
Breathing in the fire, chasing
Morning light
Hold your good friends close
Don't let'em go astray
We are building trust stronger
Every day
For laughter that echoes through
These walls
For quiet peace when the shadows fall
For every tear turned to joy,
You were there
You were there through it all
Thank God, let the praise
Overflow
From a simple table and a
humble home
Hands all joined, every voice in
Grace
Thank God, let our hearts give
Praise
Grateful every day
Hearts give praise

Premium Member Being Infinitely Grateful

gratitude
   is that
 realm of
   bliss
one should
   tune into
sun beam
    days
turquoise blue
   sky vista
  silver moonlit
     dream drift
       midnight
     and
   ambient
  afternoons
inhale
 invigorating
  scents from
gorgeous
  garden scenes
    extol
      unique
   urban
historic
   plinths
     and plots
 inhale
  cafe feast
    aroma
wallow in
  enthused
city zest
 and warmth
  exhale one’s
  appreciation

Miracles happen when you believe
Just stretch your mind, don't doubt
Go for your Dreams today
At your fingertips, within your grasp
Only you can turn them to reality

Stand strong, keep believing
Reach beyond the stars
It's not impossible
Climb higher, swim faster
Walk more, appreciate nature

Come on rise out of your slumber
Shake off insecurities
Set achievable goals
Be grateful for something daily
Then you can and will accomplish anything.

Premium Member I Am Grateful

After a few years, I visited an old friend at his
Office. He was not there, but I was informed
That he would arrive shortly. I waited, and
Waited, and waited until I could wait no longer.

I left my friend a message with words that
He would understand from one who' had
Ground older and learned new lessons
Of life. Message: "In years of not so long
Ago, I waited more on men and less on God.
I have now learned to wait less on men and
More on God".

The paths I have troded;
The places I have tasted;
The people with whom I have been treated;
The purpose of which I have been presented;
The plans that I have been assigned to execute.

My Lord and my life have been good to me;
Giving me cause for much gratitude.
I have walked in shoes crafted just for me,
Carrying me above and beyond, to points
And places both familiar and otherwise.

I was never afforded a life without pain,
But granted one more than filled with change.
So I adjusted and when required, changed lanes.

Through pathways both broad and narrow;
Traversing twisted and rugged roadways;
Leaving me sometimes feeling lost and lonely; But always belonging and evermore fulfilling.

Grateful The Moon

Grateful the moon
For the bright sun
Like I am of you
You and no one

I'm blaming you
For this fine day
For you brought joy
With all that you say

I love to talk
To listen too
I love to listen
To learn about you

Pretty brown eyes
I can't look away
And for your bright smile
The same thing I'd say

Grateful the moon
Like I am of you
And for the bright sun
You and no one

Grateful

#Grateful
Some ghosts in me evacuate,
long buried hope,
some shattered smile on a bare surface,
long dessertted, untainted human trait
Unconditional love and humanity

She said she prayed for me
Prayed that I do good in life
Prayed for my safety and success
Prayed I be better and well

Her knee to the ground
Her palm to palm
Her heart projection
Her compassion
And most her love.

Broke in me, chains of fear
Shackles of faith
Dungeons of freedom

Felt safe in her presence
Assured in her intentions
Written with ink in her fate
My heart is sealed

Never felt safe and
homely, away from home
and far from my mother
And there she is loving me
Unconditionally assuring me
In this with her wholesome

Grateful for the prayer
My mother Prayed
For me to have her in my life
Grateful for being there
In every up and downs
In every joy and celebrations
In every laughter and tears
Grateful for being loved
The correct way
Best way
Unconditionally so
Grateful for the blessing you are in my life
I'm Grateful

Premium Member Dedicated to My Root Master, the Zen Master Tich Chieu

By Nguyen Giac Phan Tan Hai

Obeying your words, my steps
cross the shore to guide all beings.
Mist softens this fleeting world—
the road is far, yet the heart stays near.

Looking into the mirror, I suddenly see
my hair has turned white as dew.
Each day I breathe in quietness,
chilled by the winds of impermanence.

Opening the sutra, reading word by word,
I feel the Truc Lam forest tremble.
Breathing in, the Thien Mu bell
resonates through my whole body.

A single flower is lifted—
someone holds it, yet no one holds;
someone sees it, yet no one sees;
there is only the flower appearing.

Premium Member Dedicated to Zen Master Phuoc An

By Phan Tan Hai

Following his mother through years of fleeing war,
the Four Great Debts weighed heavy on his shoulders.
A childhood spent in the temple learning the Dharma,
awake through long nights listening to birth and death.

Poems slipped between the chanting of sutras—
life appeared both present and absent.
Tears overflowed the three realms,
as the long night retold stories of the homeland.
