Being Grateful

I hope heaven has pizza parlors, and little establishments with local craft beers. And jukeboxes with hits from the 50's. And good Italian ices. And drive-ins, and moonlight canoeing. And And And.............. The best of earth would be heaven enough for me.

I meditate on heaven which is difficult. We cannot visulize heaven. Great fun with your poem.

I wholeheartedly agree. But pizza would have to wait for after final judgment day when body is restored to soul in all perfection . I really hope food is part of heaven and good movies!!

Movies with popcorn dripping butter, those little frozen ice cream thingies covered in chocolate. Yum!

Yes, indeed. I too visualize Heaven as a place where we will get all things that we love here on earth. Enjoyed reading this small piece of prose.

Well, I am certain of one thing, I do not want actual gold roads~ ouch! My poor arches. A reply, well, we won't have physical feet, that will hurt! So why the roads? But will have physical eyes? Well, we will have advanced spiritual eyes! Then maybe we will have spiritual everything, and such a heaven really beyond present human comprehension? Maybe, all the beautiful things we have on earth, including our loved relationships, are a heaven in the Palm of the hand...if we are willing to seize it back from the devil. Leaving to him, what is rightfully his, all his perversions of beauty and truth? I don't know...am I so off base? Maybe then we will even take death away from him, reclaiming eternal life, with all the good salvaged and made whole holy and perfect, perfection originally intended for humanity by our loving creator? Am I a fool or insane to think such things? I wait not for the end of this world, but, first, for its resurrection in Jesus Christ.
