Premium Member Good Things Come To Those Who Wait

For once, I will be
The one who waits for those of
Whom want my friendship
More than anything else or
At least want to have some fun.

Be Vigil

Today is here, tomorrow is never promised,
Yesterday is gone , but never forgotten. Things happen for a reason no matter the season.
All good things come to those who wait, never does it it hesitate. Green and blue, black and gray blessed to have another day.
So remember today, pray for tomorrow, learn from the past or have you forgotten?

Good things come to those who wait
That's what folks always told me

So I waited and waited, so patiently
'til the blessing came ~ senility

Premium Member Now That We Are Here

Quote: Give life your best shot for desires appear and disappear
Love alone unties the Gordian knot

Now that we are here, let us do our very best
with what we have been given, God will do the rest;
Since we have been called to live a life of authenticity
we ought to shun duplicity and deceitful ways
in order to make way for the best version of ourselves.
When we do this we can accept most anything that God
sends our way. Sword in hand we fight the battles of life,
like an Arc-angel of old. No support team is needed
if you place your best efforts in the hands of the greatest
Alchemist there ever was...
Love alone unties the knots of life so knit yourself
to the belief that good things come to those who wait...
Sit by the River Jordan and be baptized into His palpable Love
Unloose the sandals of despair, step into hope and live.

Truly it is no small mercy but some
more noble importance favoured on me,
you are a child in time whose time has come
and I love you, Little Man, desperately!
For I am cheerful in hope and all things
that the bright stars are yours to upward aim,
and guide you to the Valley of the Kings
or ghost ship treasure on the Spanish Main.
Let adventure and crossing fill your days -
may God’s keep watch over you to your grave,
thus learn well beginning so young always
that time is your master and not your slave.
You are to me by a nature so great
living proof good things come to those who wait.

Premium Member Cliques Can Be Used In Poetry

Ignorance is bliss said the uneducated Miss
Take the tiger by the tail, and then give a hiss.
A snake in the grass thought outside of the box
You can’t judge a book by its cover, said the ox.

Like a kid in the proverbial candy store
Good things come to those who wait said Moore.
In the nick of time there was a loose cannon swarm.
All together it became the perfect storm.

Cliques are like cans of worm said a tiny newborn.
But like all God’s favorite things, every rose has a thorn.
Grandma said, “The apple does not fall far from a tree.”
She was referring of course, to that arrogant baby, Little Lee.

What goes around comes around, Daddy interjected.
That’s the pot calling the kettle black, Mom said, feeling rejected.
No sense in beating a horse to death, said the uneducated Miss.
The grass is always greener on the other side. She blew them a kiss.

There are plenty of fish in the sea, they told Uncle Hank.
But now he felt dead as a doornail, he was sweet on Miss Lank.
He must have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed someone said.
If only walls could talk! Hank lamented. His face was quite red.

Premium Member If You Only Have Hammers

If good things come to those who wait full term,
Then why is the early bird getting the worm?

They say not to beat horses already dead,
But will it hurt much to speak ill instead?

The world is a nail if you only have hammers.
If the world is your oyster, is ‘shucks’ in your grammar?
If the world is a stage, do scared oysters stammer?

If not letting a sleeping dog lie is uncouth
How sure are we barking dogs will tell the truth?

If it isn’t about whether we win or lose
Can we skip slow, steady, go fast if we choose?

These darned aphorisms bewilder, confuse
Don’t judge by their cover, walk a mile in their shoes.

Premium Member Good Things

Good things come to those who wait
Good things come to those who pursue,
Good seldom comes to those who procrastinate
It's critical to determine the prudent thing to do.

Patient Person

Good things come to those who wait,
Staying where one’s walk is straight,
Everything is going great.

Mortal Realm

will good things come to those who wait
or do we act now and destine our fate

who controls this realm in which we live
what do we need and what should we give

can we live by some words written in a book
maybe it’s time we take a good look

fortune and fame will set with the sun
reward will come from the race you run

do unto others, while you still can
trust in God and not mortal man

live your life with one thing in mind
what will he see and what will he find

some will stand and some will fall
you’re in control so give your all

do your best and make it count
take each punch and then surmount

Hope

My old goat, don’t cry or sigh! Be steadfast; you must not die.
The spring comes soon and the sky will be blue and this shall pass.

Good things come to those who wait. Together with a fair mate
You’ll enjoy a lovely fate. You’ll have melon and green grass.

Out of the pen, on the plain, you’ll forget your current pain,
No longer will you complain. You’ll be happy with your lass.

In the fields you’ll bound and fart together with your sweetheart,
Among many a blithe hart, many a sheep, cow and a*s*s.

Just don’t worry. Don’t be sad! You’ll soon certainly be glad.
Sacred love will drive you mad. These hard, bad days will soon pass.

— Based on a popular ironic Persian proverb ("Boz'æk næ'mi:r bæ'haar mi:'aad" literally translating to "Keep alive, O little goat; the spring shall come!")

Self Love

i love you girl yes
your so beautiful everyday
carefree of the hate

happiness a must
erased the scars from me
building my empire

competition free
drama free being alone
learned self worth from hurt

aura free of darkness
good things come to those who wait
roaming to freedom

protecting my heart
open to true love once again
praying for new path

my wisdom ascend
refuse to settle for less
back turn to cowards

boundaries set up
banish the juvenile acts
new love come in pure

Fickle fingers of fate

They say "good things come to those who wait"
but indecision leaves love dangling...
in the fickle fingers of fate.

Take control of your own destiny,
grab the bull by the horns...
and ride the back of what's meant to be.

Moments

Life is filled with love and hate
But isn’t it good things come to those who wait
This is wrong
You waited too long
Now you stand between life and death
Death choose you
At the peak of your last breath
You think of the things you never got to do

Time in Cancerville

This time has no resemblance to real time.
Seconds are minutes and minutes are hours
and hours are days and days are months and
months are years. Test results take forever
and we always expect the worst outcome.
Chemo bags drip their poisons endlessly.
Everything never has a proper end time.
The only fast thing in Cancerville is the
growth time of tumors. Each microsecond
they gain a greater foothold. Tenacious.
In this time frame hope seems hopeless.
All good things come to those who wait.
