A Titch More of Tom's Torturously Terrrible Tidbits

I went to buy an R.V.
They said all I could afford was a Lose-a Beggo.

I bought a pair of alligator shoes.
But then I started wandering off into swamps.
Finally, I had to toss them, they were
really biting my feet.
I got arrested for tossing
an endangered species.

I got a fantastic price on a
1995 calendar.

I discovered the Missing Link.
(Of my broken chain).

Were cell phones invented for prisoners?

I bought a hot dog from a street vendor in NYC.
I guess he didn't like my looks.
He offered me mustard gas.

Speaking of hot dogs, I bought a $500
hot dog roller-grill machine.
But then I could no longer afford the hot dogs.

I'm so dumb I used to think hot dogs
were Dobermans left out in the sun.

The waiter asked me if I wanted some
mussels. I said I couldn't afford the
gym membership.

What's in a name?
Letters, I guess...

I use Military time, cause I
thought the o'clocks were just
for Irish people.

Did the Ottoman Empire
build forts out of armless sofas?

Someone told me they wanted to see Tibet.
I said, "Why?...No one will win."

I couldn't afford the colon cleanser, so I got a semi-colon cleanser.

Why do they call those big eighteen wheeler trucks "Semis"?
Where's the other half?

Whoever said "All good things come to those who wait" must've had a different
postman.

My neurologist calls me Mr. Numskull.

Someone asked me what my net worth was. I said I pay $9.95 a month to be
online.

I have so many electric pianos the electric company had to build another power
plant.

Amazon doesn't like me either. I ordered an 8mm camera- they sent me a
loaded 9mm gun with instructions on suicide.

Have a good one, more on their way.

I Wonder How It Feels To Fall

I wonder how it feels to fall

(Bridge)
I wonder how it feels
To fall
I wonder how it feels
To fall
I wonder how it feels to fall
In love

(Verse 1)
I wonder how it feels to fall in love
With the one
You can't stop thinking of
I wonder how it would be
To have someone that you could see
Past there faults and there flaws
The one you can give your all
In the end will you fall?

(Chorus)
I often wonder how it feels
To fall (to fall)
In love
With you
I wonder will you make my Sky's still blue
I wonder will you be afraid
That this can be great
I wonder if at all
Could we ever fall

(Verse 2)

Sometimes I sit and think
And stare
The feeling
When you care
You put your arms around me
I'm safe
Felt lost and now you found me
You make me complete
Now I can see
Why ,They say
Good things come to those who wait
Ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Chorus)
I often wonder how it feels
To fall (to fall)
In love
With you
I wonder will you make my Sky's still blue
I wonder will you be afraid
That this can be great
I wonder if at all
Could we ever fall

Hook
Don't be scared
Or afraid
When I'm with you
I wouldn't trade
The way you make me feel
This is so for real
Don't be scared
Or afraid
When I'm with you
I wouldn't trade
The way you make me feel
This is so for real

Chorus)
I often wonder how it feels
To fall (to fall)
In love
With you
I wonder will you make my Sky's still blue
I wonder will you be afraid
That this can be great
I wonder if at all
Could we ever fall

Just Wait

Verse 1
Wait it take times
For a man to find
The girl of his dreams
The one that makes him beam
I never saw a smile so Big
Like when you giving a toy to a kid
That's the impact that i did
You went through
The i Don't want You
We are better just as friends
I like you but,
We just keep in touch
Any excuse
With Us no use
Its like a full course meal on your plate
Sometimes you have to just wait

Chorus
Wait, be patient
Its Not just a statement
Wait it will come
When you least expect
And you wont regret it
You have to wait on Gods timing
Stop trying to go finding

Verse 2
There's a lot to see
There's a lot to show
There are lots of places we will go
We will climb
We will live
We will receive
We will Give
We'll become a Team
Yes, we determine our own success
You show me What's Best
You take your time
You said in the end you did find
You found your rock
You guys are solid And locked in
You found it all in your friend
Good things come to those who wait
Sure do
And so that's what i plan to do

Chorus
Wait, be patient
Its Not just a statement
Wait it will come
When you least expect
And you wont regret it
You have to wait on Gods timing
Stop trying to go finding

Hook
Just wait
it takes time
Get yourself together
And Watch God unwind
Just wait
It takes time
Get yourself together
And watch God unwind

Wait, be patient
Its Not just a statement
Wait it will come
When you least expect
And you wont regret it
You have to wait on Gods timing
Stop trying to go finding

Repeat until Chorus fades

Premium Member My Interpretation of If By Rudyard Kipling

If you can keep calm when all around you,
Are frustrated, and angry with you,
Always believe in yourself, and be true,
Don’t be too proud, be positive with others too,
All good things come to those who wait,
Don’t ever listen to lies, that’s a fact,
Try to avoid being hated, don’t ever hate,
Do not show off, and from yourself distract.

Dream, but do not let dreams absorb you,
Put all to thought, and exercise this through,
If you succeed, become befallen too,
And meet these dire opposites at their game,
Stand up to truths that you believe in,
They know not what they speak, they only shame,
So jealous of your hard earnings, a twin to sin,
They try to mimic, to no avail, they do not gain.

Put all you have achieved to one side,
Knowing who you are, believe in do or die,
You might lose, begin again, with it abide,
Tell no one of any loss, reach for the sky,
If you can use your strength, and soul,
To carry on, as grace helps you to become whole,
And try everything within, to reach your goal,
Tell them I’ll carry on, not dig myself a hole.

If you speak with others, to thy self be true,
Be proud, never lose sight of who you are,
If friend or foes have no ability to scar,
If they agree with what you say, but not with all,
Be forgiving, don’t think you're better, and then fall,
If all you say is sound within sixty seconds,
You have achieved your worth, which always beckons,
And - indeed more - you’ll be a man my son!

Tainted Mindset

Tainted mindset

This world is going in shambles
Has it become more than we can handle?
Yes
Time to get this off my chest
Wonder when will the world not stress
Value people life
Instead of cutting their life short
We abort our situations and concentrate
On a world that no longer represents love but hate .
Is it fate
That brings you to
Trying to help others
Regardless of race size or color

Our minds are tainted
An image painted
We have no choice
But to learn from it
(REPEAT 1X)

I paint this picture
In my head
I try to view everything from a different led
I try to remember a lot of things that were said
That was instilled in my mind
Like always be kind
Good things come to those who wait
Know that it's ok
If we make mistakes
Try your best to lessen your plate
Stay woke, stay awake
Learn to appreciate
Appreciate the smaller
If you don't know how to walk
Start as a crawler
It's the beginning
Of time you are winning,
Just make a plan
Strive be the best you can

Our minds are tainted
An image painted
We have no choice
But to learn from it
(REPEAT 1X)

Bridge :
You have a plan
To be the best you can
Repeat 1x)

Our minds are tainted
An image painted
We have no choice
But to learn from it
(REPEAT 1X)

“Birds of a feather, flock together”
They also do other things as a group
Like pooping on your brand new bonnet
At times they'll even poop in your soup

“Laughter is always the best medicine”
Not so if you have a runny nose
You'll get that green stuff all over the face
You might even get some on your toes

“Sleep tight, don't let the bugs bite”
Those nasty little critters are pests
Sleeping tight sure ain't gonna stop 'em
From chomping on your tender pink flesh

“You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear
What an absolutely disgusting concept
At least you could wait till the pig's deceased
'Cause I'm sure the damn thing would object

“Keep a stiff upper lip, my dear old chap”
It'll stop you from saying certain words
Like “honeyfuggle” or “snollygoster”
But you can still utter “dirty turds”

“One man's junk is another man's treasure”
Let's try to be realistic here
If you treasure a broken down piece of junk
Then you're welcome to it, my dear

“Good things come to those who wait”
Especially if you're waiting to sprinkle
If you cross your legs and sing “Hey Jude”
It'll seem like no time till you tinkle!

Honeyfuggle:
Deceive by flattery or sweet-talk, swindle or cheat
Snollygoster:
A shrewd, unprincipled person, especially a politician

Premium Member Cliques Can Be Used In Poetry

Ignorance is bliss said the uneducated Miss
Take the tiger by the tail, and then give a hiss.
A snake in the grass thought outside of the box
You can’t judge a book by its cover, said the ox.

Like a kid in the proverbial candy store
Good things come to those who wait said Moore.
In the nick of time there was a loose cannon swarm.
All together it became the perfect storm.

Cliques are like cans of worm said a tiny newborn.
But like all God’s favorite things, every rose has a thorn.
Grandma said, “The apple does not fall far from a tree.”
She was referring of course, to that arrogant baby, Little Lee.

What goes around comes around, Daddy interjected.
That’s the pot calling the kettle black, Mom said, feeling rejected.
No sense in beating a horse to death, said the uneducated Miss.
The grass is always greener on the other side. She blew them a kiss.

There are plenty of fish in the sea, they told Uncle Hank.
But now he felt dead as a doornail, he was sweet on Miss Lank.
He must have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed someone said.
If only walls could talk! Hank lamented. His face was quite red.

Festive 'spirit'

“Pour me another” is all that I hear
When I’m down the pub at this time of year
I don’t want your Vodka, Archers or Rum
And I don’t want the drinks set aside for your Mom
A drop of the black is just what I need
Pour me a pint, or maybe two, or just three

It pours so gently into the glass
A perfect pint, it’s in it’s own class
With its beautiful body and its creamy white head
I reach out my hand and I’m easily led
“Good things come to those who wait”
How true are those words that seal my fate!

My intentions are good, my intentions are true
I’ll have just the one … or maybe a few
As I down the first, the second and more
I converse with wisdom about legends of yore
My words of great wit just continue to flow
I’m at peace with the world, there’s a definite glow!

And so this fine evening has drawn to a close
I put one foot in front and just follow my nose
Through the town centre and straight up the hill
Best call me a taxi … I think his name’s Bill!
But there’s no need to worry, there’s nothing to fear
I’ll be back in the bar in good time for New Year!

Quote: Give life your best shot for desires appear and disappear
Love alone unties the Gordian knot

Now that we are here, let us do our very best
with what we have been given, God will do the rest;
Since we have been called to live a life of authenticity
we ought to shun duplicity and deceitful ways
in order to make way for the best version of ourselves.
When we do this we can accept most anything that God
sends our way. Sword in hand we fight the battles of life,
like an Arc-angel of old. No support team is needed
if you place your best efforts in the hands of the greatest
Alchemist there ever was...
Love alone unties the knots of life so knit yourself
to the belief that good things come to those who wait...
Sit by the River Jordan and be baptized into His palpable Love
Unloose the sandals of despair, step into hope and live.

Premium Member To Love, Is Love

I take a deep breath
And speak my mind while time is still left
I wish for everything to go my way,
I wish that all this hurt and all this pain would all just fade away
To be in love I always pray
To make it a peaceful and joyful day
With love in your heart, it is impossible to hate
I never will know or understand fate
To show love you always have time it is never too late
Good things come to those who wait
I do not believe love hurts
To make it happen takes a lot of work
Love is definitely taught
However, it cannot or should never be bought
It is priceless
It comes with no stress
Always when evil lurks it is constantly put to the test
To have it in our lives we are bless
It four letters make a powerful word
To anyone it is the best thing heard
For some to say it or show it, it becomes so hard
A cherished gift from God

Love doesn’t make the world go round. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile.
