FANNING THE FLAMES
I was heavy
Weighed down
And buried by Judgment
Unintentional but hurtful just the same
Expectations of who I should be
As a daughter
As a Catholic
As a wife
As a colleague
By men
Fearful, yet domineering
Oh, the irony
That your insecurity has fueled my power
Fed the tiny coals that the women in my life
Have protected
Fanned them into flames
Fed the fire in my belly
Ignited my strength and resolve
Given birth to my voice
I am woman.
I liberate myself.
Hear me thunder!
And growl, and rage, and shout
I will no longer be judged, dismissed, hidden—
or silenced.
A piercing cry in the night,
splitting the serenity of our slumber.
Investigation discovered a poor cat's plight.
She'd given birth, five kittens by number.
Bedraggled and weak she lay quiet as a mouse.
Only one kitten seemed to be moving.
Shining a flashlight on them under our house,
I whispered kind words, intent on soothing.
A piercing cry in the middle of the night,
just like the night they were found.
Jumping on me, she gave me a fright.
Her screams continued to resound.
My husband had fallen and she beckoned me.
Racing back to him with care,
I stumbled after, in the dark, not able to see.
She hurried to let me know he was there.
She refused to leave his side.
He was raced to hospital just in time.
Our wonderful cat is our source of pride.
Thanks to "precious" Bill will live way past his prime.
Death is an enemy that everyone would like to kill
It's worse than a criminal because it likes to steal
It's invisible and unseen as it claims the lives you love
Aways arriving in ways and in formats you wouldn't think of
It wins a double trophy for leaving the innocent in pain
Sitting as a horrible reminder to not live you life in vain
It's a unexpected visitor, one we struggle to keep at bay
Especially after saying hurtful things that we didn't mean to say
It's picks at random just as throwing a pair of dice
It's has no feelings and can be as cold as ice
It's a battle we all fight and always seem lose
It also taps on our shoulder when we don't have a clue
It could be swift when it wants to be and have no mercy
At times it can be slow and evil and don't see the need to hurry
Sometimes it seems to grab us in through an unforeseen accident
At times it's a visit that an individual may prevent
Everyone is confused as to how it got it's start
Who gave life to it with an unbeatable heart
Death has been the end for every parent who has given birth
It was our very first parents who brought death to the earth.
SEEING is believing for most of us
EYESORES are not always physical
NOSES smell both the stink and the sweet
SIN is often given birth from sights
EVERY 'i' of the alphabet needs a dot
SITUATION ethics is not a good option
The golden climb, with brook beside
The autumn hill, betook from my bedside
No sickly mange would stay my pride
I’d sit there where she lied
Those days of yore
Our hearts entwined, we swore
To set sail a golden shore
And live our days in golden rays,
Eve’s moonshines on the floor
Through the curtains near drawn closed
Never wanting for more
E'er the gods apposed
But hoar winds blew and change pursued
Our happy aisle shrank from view
The day I lost you, a silence crept
They bade me speak, e’er I wept
E’er the gods apposed-
I loved you
Atop the hill in autumn's chill
In nightgown, cap and playful will
The willow gloomed the evening shade
Bringing thoughtful tears, the vow made
I’d had her hand - as we had planned-
Living off the golden land
A fiery hearth had given birth
A heaven built on earth
Yet I lie in clover, the moon high over
Her willow glooms her stone
And far away the angels play
While we lie close and alone
Theatre Of Power
Arena of no sentiment
Only strategy and interest
The labour room of lies
Where deceit is given birth to
Ripe and matured
No one is important
Everyone is fulfilling an interest
You are as relevant as the interest you are fulfilling
At the theatre of power
Only greed for power plays
Blood and water do not flow in the veins of the players
Only selfish interest does
In the game
You either play
Or get played
In the theatre of power
You only know what you are told
And you can get away with anything
As long as you can keep your mouth shut
Or you know someone who knows someone that knows someone in the realms of powers that be.
she’s soft as silk,
fragile as glass…
will she survive?
ah! fear not—
she had given birth
to a thousand, thousand men
who have empathy instead of blood,
courage to rise from mud.
dear gods!
we tried, we prayed…
yet no mercy received,
no shelters are served.
yes, we are struggling,
sinking in this cursed water,
drowning in the deepest gutters.
yes, our women are crying,
but no one falls apart.
their tears wipe the dirt
this storm brought to the hearts.
no one will fall,
though we all suffer.
no one will tremble at death,
no begging they mutter.
we rise, slowly but strong,
holding hands,
of both weak and bold,
for our mother…
our mother.
she is waiting.
Love women for all they do.
Do not kick them around like a used pair of shoes.
Do not discard them when you are done with them, send them on a path of growth and goodness.
Give them love and support and help them grow.
Treat women with love and respect, and give them all your love and support they need.
Love and protect and give them respect.
Women have given birth to nations.
They are your partners for life.
Yes, sometimes we get tricked or deceived, but in our hearts, we truly care, I believe.
Send love around the world by showing love to women.
Lift prayers for all of our amazing women around the world.

Love story
This isn't a fairly tail !
Love story are no joke
This is not a sleeping beauty kind of story
Nor beauty and the beast
Love tales are not as sweet as they seem
But ours ended like a savage tweet,
As funny as a trending meme, on facebook
Love isnt as beautiful as it seems,
Love stories are not child's play .
Our thoughts stained with distrust and jealousy,
False professions birthing obscurity. Look deep down in our heart and you will realise that
every promise we made to each other were truthful lies, given birth at the orta
Every vow turned into Questions 8out to be compromised.
Like a love song that has lost meaning
The quarters of our hearts painted in black stains ,
Giving room for fear and panic,
Our love sinking slowly like the Titanic,
Time flew but our love couldn't stand the cold direction of life's life cycle ??
Eyes were bathed in salty water
Our hope is buried in weak tower
We hide ourselves in the serpents cave
Running away from mamba clothed in worm's garment.

"Pacha MaMa"
(written by Michelle L LeBlanc 07/20/2024)
Pacha Mama, sweet Mother Earth
I find peace within your presence
From you, much life has given birth
I am thankful to you today
For peace within your wings
As I sit under your branches
As my heart learns to sing
Your beauty all around me
Such peace within your arms
As I ground in your presence
It shuts off the inner alarms
You nurture my heart
And bring healing to my soul
So many wounds from childhood
The Frog helping me to console
The wind blows the branches
As you wave through the trees
You sure know how to soothe a heart
And bring it a sure sense of peace
Too often we've been disconnected
From the power you withhold
I guess it's time to listen
To the ancient stories being told
The Natives had it right
We are connected to the Earth
More than we could ever imagine
I think it's time for a rebirth!
All truth be known to the heart that listens
all honors given to the soul that knows
When every creature on earth is perched
then humankind will know its church
Upon this blessed land of given birth,
let Mother nature's womb be cinched.
Fathers day is special in every way
I was blessed with the best father
And also my heaveny father too
I even got baptised on fathers day
30 years ago so wonderful
My dad taught me many things
But seeing his faith was amazing
We saw God at work
In our dads life
Getting him throgh all lifes strife
It made our faith stronger
God is amazing
Jesus gave his all for us
My dad always said
You can do anything
If you believe
So i know i open my heart
And all Gods blessings i recieve
God has stuck by me through thick and thin
I am a child of God
And so glad i belong to him Amen
To my dad have a good heavenly fathers day
You never gave up on anything
And believed with all your heart.
You held on right untill you knew
I had given birth and departed within 23 hours
Miss you always fogotten never
I still tell all your jokes
Rest in peace
And will see you again one day. Amen
We believe in diverse in our universe
Our government’s a meritocracy in reverse
Red folks, brown folks, yellow and green
Indigenous Indians, Asians, Orientals, ‘Mar-sheens’
So despite constant breakdowns in communication
Multicolor anger and fury benefits all nations…
We also support workplace equity
All employee reviews must be ‘A’ or ‘B’
And of course there’s inclusion, finally
For violent ex-felons we bend the knee
All told, with our universe we’ve given birth
~ to a bigger mess than Planet Earth
