Children's Poem: The Busy Bee

Busy bee with fuzzy wings,

Flies around and softly
sings,

Sweetest honey home she
brings!

The Fuzzy Moth

The fuzzy moth flits.
He hangs in the dark, dank night.
"Say... any candles?"

Extraordinary Evidence

Sometimes I don’t know what to think
When I hear your story, I’m almost convinced
Because I don’t have extraordinary evidence for my claims
Just a hazy memory, a gnawing feeling, and a name

When I forget and when I doubt
I close my eyes and figure it out

Premium Member Fuzzy Stories

They give us fuzzy stories on why they start a war
To us, it seems quite bizarre
As bombs fall from the sky
 They feed us another lie

They gave us "weapons of mass destruction" before
Then came the blood and gore
 It was really quite appalling
 But the bombs kept falling

 So another country we'll rearrange
 and call it regime change
A story on the news will manage
 To talk about collateral damage

 As missiles go sailing by
 Innocent people will die
 And as their story blurs
Those in charge will tend to their heel spurs

Premium Member Fuzzy Sighted Madam

“Mad? Am I madam?” asked my house nanny
with protruding front teeth like Bugs Bunny,
I said, “I didn’t mean that…
Please check your sir what he got,
Was it a car or a cat I saw,Nee?”

Premium Member Fixed Fuzzy Sock is Never the Same

pointed toenail ruined my favorite gray fuzzy sock
puncturing her in a mean, uncaring big-toe way
I try to fix her, but she is never the same
too tight with her sewn up patch to be comfortable
no longer loose, soft, happy and cozy
this is not the first time this has happened
have I learned to trim my toenails first?
ask me after I push my stabbing nails into my new fuzzy sock

Premium Member On the Fuzzy Rim of Reality

Looking hard too close
reality frays, unravels—
its seams loosening
jarring certainty open
imagination pours in.

Reality stays
sharp only when unchallenged
The moment you ask—
its borders smear and soften
its lines are smudged by your hands

Edges hard and sharp—
dim, drift, and start dissolving
with a close-up stare
inviting luck, risk, doubt, chance
to sway and reshape the view.

At the fuzzy edge
even time begins to shake—
fixed truths shudder free
all that is solid quivers
in the mirage deforming.

Relentless desire
makes things fall apart and bleed
with your inner want—
casting phantom shapes that stir
over the stark truth revealed.

Premium Member Three Fuzzy Potential Pets

great green grizzly gorilla came by to sit on my knee.
I was horrified and yelped “why did he pick me?”
He’s cute, said my husband. Be still, or you’ll make him blue.
Okay, I agreed, but I am turning him over to you.

a lively, little lamb bounded in to sit on my lap.
gorilla and husband were laughing. One said you’re such a sap.
I was thinking lamb chops for supper as I stroked her soft wool.
She read my mind, and dashed away, meadow was her goal.

Next entered a fluffy bear with big black beautiful eyes.
That he fit through our teeny dog door was an enormous surprise.
The gorilla leaped off my husband and dove through that door.
Three fluffy potential pets, but only one to show you, Lenore.

Premium Member fluffy fuzzy faerie

Harry is dying, being moved quickly to purgatory.
this I have to admit is a never-ending familiar story
he is not ready to go to heaven or hell
what he has done, only the angels can tell

the powers that are from the P Star which now doth appear
sends in Fluffy fuzzy faerie, who always leads recruits here
She wears a pretty costume and shows them how to fly
After waking him up, she brings Harry up to the sky.

Premium Member I fear the closets fuzzy things

I fear the closets fuzzy things
Unseen thoughts with distant stings
Dreams soft whispering breezes bring
To calm the demons to which I cling

For life has had its way with me
It taints the beauty that I see
With brushstrokes marred by visions lie
That wingless birds could learn to fly

I sit and long for never was
Wary of that closet fuzz
For monsters all have shape and size
And fuzzy thoughts spread wicked lies

Premium Member fuzzy comfort comes with age

designer silk tie
hoping to impress others
tossed away with age

casual now
pajama wearing man
fuzzy comfort

Premium Member the fuzzy toad couple

The fuzzy toad couple came hopping across the pond
I was amazed when I saw the last lily pod they’d been on
There were four footprints of high heeled shoes.
I was surprised to say the least, now wouldn’t you have been too?

Premium Member mandrake was not allowed to have fuzzy balls

Mandrake’s sisters had fuzzy balls
Green fuzzy balls on their roller skates
Red fuzzy balls on their ice skates
Purple and pink fuzzy balls on their backpacks

You cannot have fuzzy balls they told him
You are a boy
It would be silly for a boy to have fuzzy balls
So he grew up and made himself a fuzzy ball chair
He also stuck out his tongue at both sisters
Refusing to allow either of them to put their petootsies on it
