Black and White
Sun to cast long or short shadow
only dense black color to show.
In black night white Moon to glare, glow.
Winter enters with shining ice,
frost, snow fall, snow flakes, all white nice.
Black hair turns white as age puts price.

White and Black
White and black clouds block Sun : no shadow.
White sun rays are unable to throw.
In day light , white pale Moon not to glow.
Summer leaves by sending rain power.
Black clouds become white shedding shower.
White hair turns black applying colour.
Each naked tree embossed in hoar frost
Branches crisscrossed and snow tossed
Like glitter glossed in ice at nature's cost
Until I exhaust, here I'm happy to be lost
To roam through snow I am just below
Frozen confetti thrown making air glow
With falling faux diamonds ever so slow
To feel the show not watch from window
Letting the cold take it's freezing hold
From young to old, heard stories told
Of snowmen rolled near angels mold
In frost threshold of sparkling snow ice cold

hot cocoa and board games

In the bitter cold I can see my breath,
As the snowflakes cool my hot cheeks,
Gently settling in my clothes and hair.
I am headed to the car with a cake.
There'll be a festive party tonight!
My boots glide into the powdery fluff;
And I wonder if it'll ever stop snowing!
The evening sun is setting so very red;
And I can hear the whistle of a bird.
The night will be filled with laughter;
And the evening has scarcely begun.
A white rabbit bounds past the trees;
In a flurry of movement and snow spray.
Drifts now seem to cover all the world.
Though I admired the scene only a moment,
My chocolate cake has been frosted, too!

The whiteness is blue, and wet, and fluffy to the eye,
Even when it is not.
It brings hot sweet cocoa and warm mittens into the memory,
Twinkling with glitz, glamour, and frost,
Icicle magic, dazzling your eyes.
The air so cold, it brings tears to your face,
The whiteness is blue, faerie-magic-like, not here every day.
Snow falls daintily at first, then she picks up speed,
as there is no stopping her.
She glistens as she waits for you to test her
snow-ball-ability.
Is she wet enough to roll? She brings out childhood memories
faster than most. You remember chasing your cousins, making
snow angels, snow forts, and snow men.
As far as your eye can see, the land is magic, blanketed now,
with a glamour you can only get with snow and frost.
A reverence she commands, you feel instantly,
not felt during any other season.
The glitz, the glamour, the frost, rhinestone twinkles on a
sea of white, dazzling your eyes out.
Hibernating toad,
Look at frost, snow all around
In hole hibernate.

Spring has sprung
Birds are singing
People emerge
Doorbells are ringing
Spring has sprung
Winter disappears
The sun begins to warm
The frost & snow have cleared
Spring has sprung
Flowers do bloom
Hibernated children
Come out of their rooms
Spring has sprung
A time for rebirth
All life… it does matter
I love our sweet Earth
Cold frost snow means winter
simply stunning such a scene
with the frost on the ground
covering all thats usually green
You take an early morning walk
in the crisp frost filled ground
it crackles under your feet
such crunching sound as you pound
The air is biting and haunting
your ears feel the cold nip
as the trees rustles in the breeze
the freezing water just does drip
Such is the beauty of winter
as attractive as any landscape
it's a picture to savour
from its view never to escape
So relish the moment
take in all of this scene
it won't pass here again
nature's way of being clean
OCTOBER TOWN
Trees
The tall, old trees
All must start with the senior thrust of old trees
that glorify October Town
Well, they are wonderful many and are shapely full
From Ellison’s Point one can, except for Baptist
spire, barely see October Town for the Midas
wealth
And when the cruel October light deadly caresses
each leaf,
Old Solomon’s mines never saw such crust, such
rust, such gold
Leaves! – spread band stand steps, glorify Town
Square, whole town in Persian carpet
Yet, still enough
Ned Peacher walked down to Edd’s drug store for
a fountain coke
Same store, all round, his gang visited in 44
Walmart nor other chain store had forced Edd’s
out
Brill’s Hardware
Murray Stationery
General Store still there, all freshly painted each year
“Change,” whispers the autumn air, but blows quite
round October Town
Seasons come, people live with quiet dignity
The frost, snow and ice all to be greeted with
calm, confident love
In October Town
