Alligators break the dark circular water,
later, a guy with a big belly and low belt
will grandstand while throwing half-frozen
chickens at them.
This early I’m still surfacing,
last night my legs got jailed
behind lidless dreams; the back of my neck
tingles now, as old sweat refries itself.
I’m waiting for the ‘man’.
A breeze combs damp hair
while I make-out with a Michelob
inside a soda bottle.
He’ll show-up in sockless Crocs,
baggies bulging
from the pockets of
his camouflage shorts.
I and Frick and Frack over there
fake an interest in the egrets
as the morning sun flickers through
snowy spread out, translucent wings.
The ankle-deep mist rises
revealing clearly
that we are simply here
as another form of park life,
waiting to be fed
one more far-out evening.
Where did you get that oatmeal cookie I asked Jack.
Off the oatmeal cookie tree, we keep it out back.
His mother gave the kitchen counter a tiny whack.
With her old-fashioned apron made from a flour sack.
I got into their frig and got myself some pepper jack.
Where is your other kid? Oh, she said, do you mean Zack?
I did not know about him. I meant your little one, Mack.
He is with my husband, eating lunch at Restaurant Jack Stack.
Jack got excited and asked “With Frick and Frack?”
They are his cousins; the three are usually a pack.
Yes, said his mother, and also with Uncle Hack.
The acks in this family, they simply don’t lack.

I know better than to turn or ever look back
In a foreign land, I try to relax and watch the sights
But if we fly off the rails, God will turn off our lights

I fish around in my purse and find my brown sack.
There are a couple of crackers, the cheese is all gone.
What if some psychopath has these timbers half sawn?

The person across the aisle gives her child a whack.
This reminds me of home, as a matter of fact.
I am ready to return; not truthfully a traveling act.

We are slowing down. Are we there, Jack?
I have to settle back down we aren’t even close.
But the train feels weird, as if I’m being watched by a ghost.
A very slow president named Jack.
Said, get oil from Iran and not frack!
Oh, but dude, you are on the wrong track!
Of cash, we do need,
Good jobs, we do plead!
Instead, high prices for gas!
And Fauci says to don, two ugly masks?

Deep breathing walkers
stretch across the blue grass of early day.
The park is a Florida basin under river roots.
A native cracker jammed down in a no-name Ford
listens to a country station that’s mega-nasal,
tin-star shaped and boozy.
Alligators break the dark circular water,
try again to feed on egrets,
as usual the birds are too strong to be plucked.
Later on, a guy with a big belly and low belt
will grandstand for the daily on-lookers
while throwing chickens at them.
This early I am just down in the mouth,
still surfacing.
Restless night and my legs got jailed
by lidless dreams. Now the back of my neck
tingles as old sweat refries itself.
I’m here taking the soft wet breeze
making out with a cold one inside a soda bottle
waiting for the man
who will show-up like a pond swimmer,
weed clinging to his billowing tactical shorts.
Only I and Frick and Frack over there
supposedly walking and talking
see that the park is all too clear-cut
and faking it.
When the ankle-deep mist rises,
it will be certain that we are waiting for some,
and another much cooler tomorrow.
A very slow president named Jack.
Said, get oil from Iran, and not frack!
Oh, but dude, you are on the wrong track!
Of cash, we do need!
Good jobs, we do plead!
Instead, forced to wear two ugly masks.

My marriage took place on this day
a few thousand pages ago
nestled somewhere in between
a wistful dream
and some silly reality show
We started out like frick and frack
the joker and his queen
There were no better suited
For the things we’d plan and scheme
Friday night was the night
to savor a fine bottle of wine
Sharing stories of our childhood
short quips line by line
We’d turn on music and dance
to reminiscent tunes
and laugh as we swayed about
our dimly lit up room
We’d often stop our silliness
and talk about our plans
For building a life we’d both delight
as we grew older
hand in hand
I can’t remember the day
our Fridays seemed to stop
It must have been the time
our lives began to flop
All the dreams and silly schemes
We’re suddenly too much
to fit into our busy lives
Our hands no longer touched
I often wonder how it is
two as perfect as us
Would let ourselves forget
to remember
why we loved so much
We frick and frack and break a back.
No problem. Plenty of resources.
We can get by with losing a few.
Some of the crazy ones are out there planting trees
As we cut them down willy nilly, unconcerned.
Not realizing when they are gone, we will be too.
We are out for the dollar, but what can we spend it on
When the earth dries out and the produce cannot grow
and we are dead?
Some think we can replenish the earth in time.
I hope you are right.
But in case you are wrong, can you please help
the environment instead of injuring or killing it?

Noern noern jibberbabble jibberbabble
As I pleaded over his spittal spattle
Of venimous ven engaged in verbal prattle.
Then we stood nye to nye
Straid in rockish gren.
Ner dillish kand we ertabe friend agrin
Our grint of thoughts too distant finds
Too distant calls each as our hearts recline.
My jibber flams his ire within
So to swigish flim cams from him.
Brikker nak brikker nak
Back and forth with frack
Noern to yield, yet attack.
Then I curled and cowt
To know his wisdom had won out
And embarked in gladden rim
That we cowt each other once agrin.
He's A Pedophile President
In love with himself, and the Republican Party
He says healthcare is not for me, cause' I have cancer and that I should just die
I say wow to the Economic recovery, more tax cuts for the wealthy whore's
trump says jobs, low pay, part time, no benifits, all money to the wealthy
Get outta here with womans rights, let's get back to the fifty's
And civil rights was fine and dandy back there in the fifty's,
And the gay's, they should go back into hiding like it was back in the fifty's
Social Security was taxes paid, to give to wall Street, not to help the poor or the disabilty
And energy, frack baby frack, so go have a seat and stop sniffling
The environment is just great, destroy it one well at a time
The National debt is ********, just cut programs and buy more weapons, that'll be just fine
Donald knows wall Street Reform, just give the banks all of control
And we no being a moron is great, unending debt, with Donald as our pedophile President, In control of our now white country
I just want to be a moron, cause morons are a blast
The Republican platform will bring back white power, from the days of our past
Where are you, Nessie?
You, have lived so long,
an eternal legend…
Neptune’s companion.
Have humans murdered you?
Has oil’s black-death,
slick suffocated you?
Perhaps Fukushima’s burn,
has scorched your scales or
completely, nuked you?
Oceans of man-made chemicals,
frack-cracked earth may have fried you,
as you swam, unsuspecting.
Toxic, boiling waters,
are no way to die.
Such a death,
lacks the dignity deserved,
by a millennia-old soul.
Where are you, Nessie?
Perhaps your wisdom,
Could save us all…
One step forward, two steps back
you were Frick and I was Frack
not caring what other said with pseudo tact.
We'd laugh and giggle on the sidelines
I was your best friend and you were mine.
Foolish I suppose
the tie dyed colored clothes;
with bell bottomed slacks and support hose.
Through the turning of the page
once our style was all the rage.
Time moves on too quickly
lost to situations silly and prickly
but we made it despite the trickery.
My best friend you'll always be
just don't ever forget me.
Cumander-in-Chief Father Trump
Will frack you and leave you a dump
For riches like oil
The Earth he'll despoil
While searching for what's next to hump
Author's note: The "anti-christ" has got my attention. Perhaps this is just a bad joke, and it's not limited to one religion.
Frack off!
Radon in my water, killing me
Arsenic in by veins, making me cough
Cuardilla, ruining my tea
Killing the cows
In Fylde I protest
No fracking here!
Go away
I want to dedicate this to all those farms affected by the fracking crisis!
I hope your water will be drinkable soon xxxx
