Irish Quartermasters Gaurd

Trace as feather
Low of ash
Bury of quill
Fide et amore

Nightingales Ergo
Send in rot
Further, borrow
Scottish wreathing
Entangled Britain
Relent

They of leave
Twined as lecture
Recital of yellow
Beckon brown
Revile of green
Tustled hearth

Baby babysit looks like
It's gonna hail
Jump and jive

As sent to the SAG

In tawdry spent
The war is lent

The establishment of thy own
A hate filled thrown
As crimes as thine
Tinkle and toast

In a entire
Only as pure
The picture as haunt
Plagiarism
Stores front
Sufferer as complaint
In stilled poverty
I law

Joan had little art
Lythed command
Hinde weeps rather as waltz
Herculean task
Wardrobe mantle black

Opening Suggestion of Betrothed

Yugan Ask

petrichor sillage
lustmord miasma iron cloy
a clot of steel to sever
scarlet necklace gargle silence
cell phone text ‘she is gone, hurry’
metal carriage in driveway
front door opens, beloved eyes close
cafuné at the burial site
saudade lace iktsuarpok
without you — hiraeth
shower of concrete
sixteen feet deep will silence you
now your screams are —
bubbles with pleas
well, when you run out of air
be awhile with the tunnel snake vomiting
water is slow trickle
drown in my misery
laying beside the maggot who broke us apart
golden silence
we make eye contact
I almost save you but on the way…
komorebi ray on the faucet
both our eyebrows raised
full crank
this was
all on camera
question is your honor
wouldn’t you do the same—?

the lord wanted it done
I did what God wanted me to do
the footage shows that as truth
so your honor
are we through here—?
free to go?

court finds the defendant—

i only do free verse

i only do free verse

     i rarely make exceptions

ever since i learned about it in 5th grade

i made a silent vow to myself
that i would utilize this new expression
         at every opportunity

    because, you see
it is fun to rhyme, and it does take skill

but it takes courage to write the word "courage"
even if it doesn't rhyme with orange

that's what it means to be an uncatchable individual
  raised to the zillionth power
if you understand what i mean

well, good for you, i guess

       complex are these colored wires
these are what plug our eyes to see the colors
in the way that we understand the world

even if it's a dull photodecadent shade of cold sepia
or grainy footage of a mushroom cloud
even if your "blue" doesn't rhyme with my sky

as long as you try to talk about it, and don't beat yourself up, you can make a lot of cool things.

it's not lazy. it's just life.
and life is art, isn't it?

think about it

Premium Member Head In the Sand

I cannot bring myself to watch unfettered footage of the terrorist attack.

Premium Member Yellow Press

the conversation continues to whither
some pugilistic pundits
from the tele’ and ‘net
have chosen to seal their thoughts
in a vault labeled 1955

a majority must die first, then we can talk
otherwise, suburbia and the Hamptons
could give a damn

video footage will annoy us with truth
Nubian kings and queens
gunned down in their homes
how dare they sleep, how dare they play
disrupting our extra-marital affairs
our children’s soccer games

what was that
what did you say
discuss or disgust
no matter, we are patriots
therefore, it must be the latter

Spring

Spring

The season of green
As hypnotizing as painted optimism.
The mother of all other seasons with delightful sheen.
You bloom as symphonious as teacherly mannerism.

The season of charming foliage
Invites hummingbirds that might cut the petals or weave nests on you with diligence
Or bees might dance musically at such an elevation of footage.
You stand to me elegantly with my teacher’s patience.

The season of hope and flies
Ornamented by the evanescent rays of an orange sun.
And who that socks in the confetti of rain like Pluviophiles
You open my mind and take to that cradle of a learning barn.

The season of shape and symbol.
I can visualise divine curves-
The epitome of the sagacity of renewal
You help me picture of my teachers’ drives.

The Musty Halls of Our Endeavors

Open the clasped and ancient doors!
There are mountains of footage
to peruse.
Thousands of long years to sift through.
Who did what or who did nothing
are of great import - apparently.

Who was that fellow
and why did we follow?
That despot killer
where was his karma?
We must seek clues in the dust of ages.

Pages must be read and scrutinized.
Order and reason sought
for we are nothing
without a history that teaches us.

Yet, here there are just trackless words,
statements, records,
testament's from blind witnesses
and towers of hearsay.

How to proceed?
Should we file away the sane
and burn the insane
or will the sane in the end
drive us into insanity?

Somewhere at the very bottom
of a mute pile
wise men have been muffled
have dried-up under layers of faded ink.

Dig on must we?
Or should we close those rotted doors
and walk away on new bought shoes
recording only our steps
leaving no signs on unmapped paths?

Premium Member Wanted For the Foul Murder of Santa Claus

I am not applying for Santa's job
It is lies that's coming from Mr Floods gob
But there's drone footage as proof
Terry pushed him off the roof
And a large sack with bricks in he did lob.

Theres a warrant out for Terry Flood
All the kids in the world want his blood
His evil scheming will fail
There's a top cop on his trail
His scheme will crash to earth with a thud.

Compromise

A compromise is needed
When two people disagree
Or there will be a battle
Over programs on TV.

If one wants animation
And the other likes to learn
By watching documentaries,
Each has to have a turn.

So first we’re watching footage
Of some gorgeous spots in France,
Then we’ll tune to “Brave,” so that
The other has her chance.

Who’d think two kids could not agree?
It was a real surprise,
But happily, we found a way
With one small compromise.

Premium Member Getting Ready For Halloween: You Are Cordially Invited

Invitations have gone out to one and all,
On October 29 there'll be a ball.
It's Halloween inspired,
RSVP required,
To do so simply text, or tweet, or call.

Expectations for this year's event are high,
Preparations were begun in mid-July.
"Movie Monsters" is the theme,
And raw film footage will be seen.
At midnight "Dracula" suggests he may drop by.

The location is "The House on Haunted Hill",
"Frankenstein" said if he's free to come, he will.
"The Creature from the Black Lagoon"
Will join "The Mummy" for a tune,
And some hip-hop by "The Blob" is on the bill.

Other horror picture legends will be there,
And such appearances by some are very rare.
"The Fly", "The Thing", and "Nosferatu",
And if "The Phantom of the Opera" opts to,
This year's bash will be a smash beyond compare.

Disclaimer: Yes, dear readers, I realize Halloween is traditionally on Oct. 31, but that falls on a Monday this year, and Monday is not a good party night.

Premium Member The Black Bubbles

All around campus there are these little black balls, like hanging
alien eggs. Glossy, obsidian bubbles concealing cameras that
record time-stamped, audio and hi-def video.

Could this surveillance footage ever be sent to parents?

*Imagining letters sent to parents about campus/dorm surveillance*

Dear Mr & Mrs Vionet, we have observed countless kisses,
disheveled morning walks and late night visits which indicate
that your daughter is a scandalous little wh0re. We just wanted you
to know, in case you want to know more. As campus security it’s part
of our business to keep a full, digital record, detailing her sluttines$s.

Your friends in campus security.

P.S.
Would you care to donate to the University endowment fund?

The Deserted Graveyard

THE DESERTED GRAVEYARD :
EPITAPH

Sunday afternoon mid-winter:
Here’s end of mortal charm and grace,
this hillside where briars claim the footage—
weather wears away a few remaining names.
broom-straw roots between the sunken mounds,
and long-legged brown spiders climb over field-stones.
“We are nothing more nor less than what we were.
Let the earth have what it wants.
We are dust returning to the ground.”

Carousel of Light

Out there in the gadgetry of space lies truth unspoken
as a robonaut delivers with precision dexterous air tasks
we dreamers await spacefaring races by God's millennium
and explore the starlit mysteries of the great beyond

With futuristic discoveries will scientists find evidence
of alien civilizations or will they find just a Universal void
from the footage of a comet to journeys towards the Sun
we never tire of searching out galaxies and their mysteries

Up there in the great unknown space stations ready for dock
it is a privileged place of research surrounded by innovation
studies of movements and relative positions of celestial objects
tell us so much about the inner mechanisms, of outer space

If God is eternal then space is a sky light carousel, a perpetual room
of wonder, that carries particles of light dispersed across the moon.
