"Fools Paradise"

If you think you're crazy
Then are you naturally crazy
Or do you just need someone
To pointed out..,
            ----------
If you think you're sane
Then are you naturally sane
                         ----------
Then who is to say ... But!

But if you think you are a fool
And you have any doubt!
Then the answer is obvious -
And there shouldn't be any doubt!
And you should reasonably
Be able to figure it out!

You’ve got a lark on the brain
I’ve got a ghost in mine
Shape of the shadows of things to come
Half started is only half begun

In the distance I hear a violin
Loosely based on ragged knee
Shades of grey floating free
Insipid dreams are following me
Took the tragic risk
Death served cold
On a porcelain dish

Whitest whites darkest nights twist of fate
Winding roads you can’t navigate
Empty room bereft of grace
With frozen eyes his lips embrace
Sold your soul for the title role
The bill’s come due
What’s happened before you can’t undo
You’re gonna pay his price
The valley of deaths’ a fools paradise

Nosferatu walks with death
His dear dear friend, walks as death walks
His dear dear friend
Shapes have no form shades have no color
Don’t need it no more, the almighty dollar
The knifes in the block, the axe it swings
Listen to the bells as they ring

In for a penny in for a pound
Penny for the old guy
Leave it where you found .....it
Strawmans’ head is full of hay
Nothing new has come your way
Treats you as his enemy
While wearing a mask of integrity
No ones gonna bring you round
Black birds cry the perfect sound.

Bumping the Gums

What did those spoke Mumbles just say?
I dunno
Dead air ... empty space,
me no hear
BTG fools don’t interest me
Bumping the gums
endlessly
Rat-a-tat, tat talk
that make your ears bleed
They’re saying a lot of heavy nothing,
with an empty, light trigger touch
Incoherent lips mouthing something
that don’t mean much
Less than ant important ... verbal transmission
with a broken clutch
BTG fools be moving those lips,
spraying the spit
Chewing on another straw lie
BTG fools be posing big-city slick,
thinking citizen we be country farm hicks
Playing potty mouth politricks —
Tweet telling the people
that nothing’s gonna blow
Even tho’
the bomb is near the
end of the wick
Bumping those gums;
buying more bump stocks,
and selling more target practice time
Tick, tick ... tick
Lying, lying ... lying
Bumping their gums, killer croc crying:
Red-nose Reign D. Mumbles said,
write a bullet letter coal stocking stuffed list
And seal it with a sloppy mistletoe gunfire lead kiss
Him Bad Santa Scrooge
gon give all you little elves an automatic death wish
BTG fools paradise
are rotten cavity promises
that do Ebenezer suffice

Now Out In Cold

Now Out In Cold

Trump's measurements were not well-defined;
Including both his large head and big behind;
Another lie told;
Left us in cold;
Somewhere in fools paradise him we did find.

Fools Paradise

today I sought a peace between two worlds
 one distant the other near
for I shed a single tear to numb the inner pain
not having her in my arms was driving me insane
but she was a fool settling for the delights of this world
more then the favor of God
that was her choice so filled with remorse
she dances in a ring of fire
yet throws off its challenge with a shrug
you may want to sweep all of this underneath the rug
still deep inside me there is a glow
for a far off place I wish to go
up with God in heaven above
with his love left valiant in flight
 I'll pray for this tonight
now it's at the hour of power a force of reason of full desire
want to take you much higher
digging deeper then ever before lest I implore
another opened door to exit stage left
fools paradise will make you think twice
another chance at which to roll the dice
we left our ego there in the world so fair
but were living in the land of mean
where people scream having long viscous fangs that fright
 dripping blood off side
we all want to run away and hide
 but to what ?

Departed Lover

Now I am the lonely
and the fool leaves me because grass is greener on the other side
love is fools paradise and a fallacy
I still stay beautiful and hold my pride

Talking In Your Sleep

Talking in Your Sleep

You’ve never been totally honest with me,
hoarding secrets that were buried deep.
You thought they were safe in Pandora’s Box…
but you revealed them all in your sleep!

As you moaned a name that was not mine,
our warm bed became a sheet of ice.
While you’ve been enjoying a red hot flame,
I’ve been crowned Queen of Fools’ Paradise.

No apologies, no confessions needed;
your guilty conscience gave you away.
And as a new day dawns, I’ll be all right…
just won’t be around for a replay.

Fools Paradise

She prances in countless poses
And brags, ‘today lasts forever
Shall I not flaunt what I have?
And what’s my business
If eyes follow my flesh to feed?’

Living in the fool’s paradise
She looks on at her bearers’ head
And disdains its grayness
Grinning in the glint of gold
She drowns in the doses of delusions
In her half-claded gown
That leaves nothing to imaginations

But in time nature surfaces,
Sets in and steals her boasts
Too early to have the spotlights dim
And the flashes and clicks cease
Wrinkles wreathe and wreck her visage
Her patched up skin sears out and
Defies the magic of make-ups
Her flesh folds and stills up in cold

Her buddies bury her body
And exclaim, ‘here lies her
Paraded putrid pride
That paved the path to
Perversion and perdition
Pruned down to this piteous piece’

Cloud Ten

Cloud Ten
Nick Rush

Tomorrow let’s venture to a distant kingdom.
Through bumps of time to a new dawn tonight.
Picture yourself bounce on clouds past the petty.
Move beyond nowhere-land with delight.

No laws to abide, just cosmic complexion.
Silence plays songs you can’t hear.
The crescendo of life builds up in your mind.
As you judge planet earth with new ears.

Picture back home, people running in circles.
As you’re floating in space on a star.
Closing your eyes, you see fields filled with flowers.
When they open, thats right where you are.

Laying on a soft bed of pink and green lilies.
That are five feet tall at least.
Basking in beauty, your eyes flutter shut.
And you’re gone.

Awake to a view of a million suns.
Hold galaxies tight in your palm.
Closing your eyes to see if you’re dreaming.
And you’re not; where you truly belong.

Waving from the island, of the fools paradise.
As you sink in the space of kaleidoscope skies.
And you’re here.

Fool's Paradise

Angels are crying in the moonlight, As I'm
living in a fools paradise, Once again in my life
Gotta spread my wings and fly away.

As life's a gift and I don't want to waste
anymore time on love that's one sided.

As long as you get it your way your happy
But I'm not anymore, I want more.

A fool's paradise to think my life's gonna change
with you, I can see it's your way or the highway.

Well I gotta have more in my life, Not a man who's
only there part time.

So It's time I fly away, But remain your
forever friend.
