Talking In Your Sleep

Talking in Your Sleep
You’ve never been totally honest with me, hoarding secrets that were buried deep. You thought they were safe in Pandora’s Box… but you revealed them all in your sleep!
As you moaned a name that was not mine, our warm bed became a sheet of ice. While you’ve been enjoying a red hot flame, I’ve been crowned Queen of Fools’ Paradise.
No apologies, no confessions needed; your guilty conscience gave you away. And as a new day dawns, I’ll be all right… just won’t be around for a replay.

An amazing write dear Pandita. Your title is awesome and your theme is heartbreaking but the voice in the poem is strong and determined... not at all the 'Queen of Fools Paradise'. An excellent and heartfelt poem, told with conviction and passion! I truly enjoyed your poem my sweet friend.. Hugs! ~Susan

A cool rebuttal, Pandita. The subconscious confession, eh. I love the title, the theme, especially him being caught in his dream. A great piece of poetry, dear. Your gritty honesty is the best part of this poem. Loved it! I do have to come visit more often. Love and more love to you and yours.
