Boisterous. 
Petals come to mind.

The weird hat in the back of my closet. 
Gives me photos. 
Mirrors that aren’t supposed to be mirrors. 
Being free like a coupon.

Floating like a puddle.

The smell is like the smell of a speck of sand. 
Nothing.

Floral Paths of Summer

Flowery paths wildly intersect rich, late summer;
While beautiful flute music plays in green trees,
Amidst song so rife, without drumrolls of thunder.
In butterscotch ease, drift humming, honeybees.

         delicately intense
          autumn perfection

Floral Gifts

ceiling-to-floor stone fireplace,

uplifted with Mother’s Day gifts:

     amidst the painted flower trio,

sunny bright and purple mums,

yellow glad-iolus, ma-genta roses

in red-ribbed vase, hearth-right;

and butterscotch lantanas, on left…

     now in a planter on the porch,

inviting hummingbirds and butterflies.

Floral Waterfalls

I thought to clip a rose
as I did, stopped to think,
would my clipped rose
be happy with a faucet
drink? A clipped rose
in a thermal made vase,
yet of glass pure sand remained,
I sensed, a blessed clear trace – 
like sacred-core of a stone, like my
deeper earpiece, closer
to the bone, my personal 
spirit-phone – a clipped
rose...by the window,

Floral Farewell

Velvet red roses stand
cheek to cheek
with daisy faces, ringed
in petal fringes,
sweetly scented
by creamy bubbles 
of double jonquil popcorn blooms
beside a starburst
yellow chrysanthemum,
and long leaves 
squeezed between.
Below, their stem-straws blur
in the ribbed glass jar,
looped with a satin orange bow 
for your 97 years
we must farewell soon.

The loved ones are visiting,
bringing flowers, hugs, reminiscences
for you, last of

We had heard she was coming two weeks ago Sunday.
Fragrance she brought with her was a wonderful scent.
We liked everything about her, her ambiance was an event.
