SIMPLICITY

Simplicity
The best
A prior
No complications.
Difficulty yields suffering
Suffering shrinks you
Flexibility is attainable through simplicity.

Simplicity
Very plain
A necessity
No complains
Always smooth
Steady and rapid growth in any situation.

Simplicity
The glory of expression
Without stress or strain
It's not too much
Neither too little
Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.

Convictions

Convictions
susan Q. miller © 2011
Song Lyrics

Maybe our convictions are convictions after all,
They lock us in a prison in our minds.
They keep us from living in this moment.
We’re out of synchronicity---out of present time.

Convicted by convictions, we are prisoners, prisoners.
Living in the past we will never be free
Until we breakout, until we break out,
Open up and live our lives today.

I'm not looking for a pot of gold
At the end of some long road.
Treasures wait around each bend, we can uncover them.
There is no end to the wealth to be discovered
When we break out, break out of our delusions,
Break out, break out of all our past conclusions.
Then we can be free, yes we can be free to live today, today
Let’s live for today.

Maybe our convictions are convictions after all.
They lock us in a prison in our minds.
Each of us are wardens and we hold the key.
There is no one else who can set the prisoner free.

So if we breakout, if we’re willing to breakout
Of past conclusions, our delusions,
Then we can be free
Free to live today
Free to find a better way
No time to waste on blame.
It’s time to break out.
We’ve got to break out.

Premium MemberNothing Could Make Me Stay

I can understand why my pal has given
up on this garage sorting. it is only 9:30
and I feel like we've been working on this
for ten hours. I did not even get here until 8.

I am giving up right now.
Nothing could make me stay.

This is a big mess,
and I doubt I am that much help
anyway.

Oh, wait. What? Um, sure. What are you having?
Chocolate chip pancakes with blueberries
and tapioca pudding?

Yes, I guess I could stay and help
Another twenty minutes or so.

Bacon? But you'll have to un-thaw it
first? How long will that take?
Sure. I could stay an hour more maybe.

Pizza for lunch?
Okay. But I have to leave by 2:30 if that's okay.
Oh, the chiefs are playing? And we could watch it while we sort.

Premium MemberSome People But Not Me

Some people find comfort in living the same day
Every day doing what they did yesterday in the same way.
I know a man who ate a ham sandwich with cheese plain
No condiments every day and cut exactly the same

I thrive on change. Daily seek out something new.
Learning racquetball kept me entertained in 1982.
As soon as we had the tournament all interest was gone.
I dropped racquetball never going back. For tournament I’d won.

Some women wear the same exact haircut for twenty years
To change it up would instigate and initiate such fears
I know a woman whose hair looks like 1960’s Loretta Lynn
A different style is suggested every decade by her kin.

My hair has been black and blue, beige and turquoise too.
If I had to keep it the same way twice it would make me blue.
Some teachers can print their worksheets a month in advance.
Given a choice, I would rather have gigantic wood-ticks in my pants.

Some people live the same year every single year.
That would be my absolute biggest baddest fear.

Premium MemberMistake Made Right

Some get things right the first time.
Most of us do not.
Mistake. Mistake.
A rubber cake.
Okay, it is not edible, but if we roll it into balls, can we bounce it?
Bounce. Bounce. Bounce.
What did you do wrong? My mother asks me.
If I knew that, I would be able to make a fortune.
Nine bouncy balls out of a cake mix.
Imagine how smart that is.
Mistakes can be wonderful!
My friends and I follow my cake down the sidewalk,
Not eating it.
But enjoying
it
with
a
real
fondness

Premium MemberFluidity and Flexibility

Evoking the oak tree with a
Thank you for the stupendous day
So simple, yet, so profound
No need to do anything extraordinary

Because the universe resides simply
With white snowfall sanitizing my mind
Your imagination working like magic field birds
Warbling as you go

Let's create the countdown to amazing places together
Be my beloved even when your heart aches
Because we reside on the right side of the divine
Mindset where simplicity prevails and entails

What I couldn't do without you
Nobody's going to understand the breakthrough
On the bright side of the fluid mind
Where starlight ignites your kindness

Flexibility

i used to think i wasn't flexible
but i'm beginning to see
that i am bending over backwards
just to placate you
my spine is in ruins
my muscles have all torn
i sit here in front of you as nothing more
than a useless pile of thoughts and emotions
what else do you want from me?
was my body not enough?
here is my heart
my soul
take them
they're yours
i can only bend so far
i can only stretch so much
until i break
and i have broken
i have broken
