Fine As Wine Poems | Examples

Pretty Paradox

We are two flames,
Colliding and clashing,
Eroding our names,
Each other, slashing.

Merging miraculously,
In some eternal timeline,
Vowing velvety love variously,
Flowing and floating as fine as wine.

My hand longs your hand,
Our hands meet and then
We turn into slipping sand,
A poem by a perpetual pen.

My hands are cold,
Struggling to keep hold,
Your hands are burning,
Holding and yearning.

My eyes, as silent as cold night,
Yours are loud and alight.
"What are we?" Asked thee,
"Pretty paradox, you and me"
Said I, ridiculously.

You, it's you, I admire thy worth,
Prettier than ethereal earth,
Beauty reaches its zenith
When men are in love,
Shinier than the stars above,

Alluring are the men in love,
Dreamier than a divine dove.
Appealing than ardent Adonis,
Men in love are a beguiling bliss.

Bewitching beauty that makes
Coy even the luminous lakes.
Swains, beauteous boon,
Ravishing than the beaver moon.

Mythological Lily

From now, until whenever,
She's just as clever
Divine and fine as wine
A dialect revived by queens and dutchesses
But a woman's heart is just as hard as a mason's arch
You are gonna need your library card
No more yielding to anything
Like my mythological lily or winged cupid
Distinguishing, but dreamy
Be gentle
Humble yourself to a mumble
But if we quarrel,
Do not reprehend.
If we break apart, I'll mend you!
I've got to be honest,
I need a tissue
I adore you
My mythological lily

Premium Member Silent Echoes

Silent echoes of my heart beating next to thine
sultry kisses in the dark, tasting fine as wine
Rhythm of our souls, waves upon the ocean
like the ebb and flow of constant emotions

Heart beat to heart beat, we move as one
like the moon circling round the sun
We are stars orbiting one another
living and breathing, only for each other.

Aged

Maybe it's not what we think it is,
why you're having all these problems.
Yeah, you are on one.
It's our age that gets in the way.
It's fine.
Fine as wine.
Wine is better aged.
Not that I would know because we ain't on wine.
We're better aged.
On one is just a number.
Yeah, we're better this way.
We're better aged.

Jester

Love is like the sun,
Is this saying true?
Then crushes are like the moon,
This I believe do you?

I blushed at your every movement,
To be honest I stalked.
Reminiscing every little moment,
Shared in every little place.

Your long legs I do admire,
Eyes as fine as wine.
Lips as pink as roses,
Fingers long and slender.

Sometimes in my dreams you appear,
Other times in nightmares you come.
But thoughts of you light me up,
Full of bliss I become.

To you am shy to talk.
Over you do I swoon.
Sometimes forgetting how to walk,
Making myself a complete fool.

I daydream of you,
In our own love paradise,
Laying in your embrace,
Being showered with gentle caresses.

My girlfriends tell me its not love,
That it is childish infatuation.
But I call them liars,
And always walk away.

I sing songs with your name,
In my head obviously,
Even formed a ship name,
JESTER to represent our love.

But sometimes I get caught up,
That I often forget ,
That this is one sided,
That you don't even know I exist.

I hope you notice me one day,
I pray my first kiss is you.
And my heart will finally be calm
And my mind as clear as day.

A True Gem

Inspired by Ms. Toni Vasser

One early morn upon awake I quickly came to find.
The cobwebs of shadowy ghosts died within my mind.
Those slinky burdens of the dark that boo us from time to time.
‘Tis they the ones who keep our lives to forever twist and twine.

‘Twas relieved to finally think of a memory, one simply divine.
To bring to light a soul that ages as well and fine as wine.
Whenever one is in her presence, she is dutifully inclined.
To extend her hospitality to come to drink and dine.

It may be you to bring the salt, but she will bring the thyme.
Whenever one needs a helping hand, she is the first to chime.
We wish to appreciate the life of her while we are in our prime.
For, not to see the worth of her will surely be a crime.

Ugly

On my ugly days
You bring a ray of sunshine to my face
I could be on my worst
And still you see me on my best

On my ugly days
You see me as fine as wine
You always hold me tight
And say I’ll never leave your side

On my ugly days
When we fight we come to a place
Were we hug and kiss and make?
The ugly go away

Another Sleepless, Sexless Night

Close by my side,
slept sound through the night,
a form fine as wine
wrenching rich with all might.

And his eyes – blue lagoons!
like two watery moons,
won’t neglect to protect
as fast over me loom.

But love perplexed will follow next,
as by his act, my soul left vexed…
or lack of act is the matter of fact!
as he pushed me aside for a night of no sex.
