I don't rightly know.
I might have said it before.
But it might be time for more.
Saying 'thank you' is never a chore.
Anyway, I am amazed by you.
I am encouraged by you.
I am enriched by you.
I am inspired by you.
I am enabled by you.
When I needed a place
To post my muse,
You were there.
And not once did you refuse
To post my expressions.
You became a real blessing.
I never knew there was such
A haven of rest like you;
Such a 'sponging place' to draw
From me my very best.
I believe that God is using you
To aid me in discovering me;
To complete my life's puzzle,
Little by little, piece by piece;
To provide the assist I dearly
Needed to complete my purpose.

Hello Santa Claus,
Carry my dreams to the sky.

Sunlight sparkles on the river,
marbled fire licking at the air.
Each glimmer erupts then fades
like people who we thought
we'd hold dear for an eternity
drifting into the world.
But if you tilt your head softly
you might hear their laughter
echoing beside your head,
like children sliding through your ears.
And if you close your eyes
you might feel gentle fingers
entwining into yours;
the summer wind clasping
its warm hands around your own.
And if only you'd look hard enough
they'll reappear, not in the water
but rather the night sky,
stars that shine steadfast.
Bask in their light.
Love makes life worth living.

Wolfs are like dogs, they move in packs and look for their kind.
Wolfs are furry, they have all they need, they have their pack, and move like the wind.
Wolfs are cute they have their ways, they are like a family that has all they need.
Wolfs are described as wild, they live outside and built their own life.
Wolfs are remembered in history, we can relate to them because they act like us sometimes.
Wolfs are part of the animal and natural world, they have for years moved in a pack.
Wolfs are part of our world, they love, they live, they eat and move with their kind.
Wolfs have fun and run and play, they love and they live, they can make us see ourself in many ways.
We all have some wolf ways, we can relate to them in many ways, they howl, they play, they fight and make up and live for more days.
We all may have some wolf in us and we ponder that some days.
Lifting prayers to God, today and always.
Too often we don't realize
what we had until it's gone,
Too often we get so busy
we forget what we had all along.
These days we all seem scattered,
each walking separate roads,
Caught up in our own worries
and carrying heavy loads.
Somewhere along the way we drifted from family and old friends,
Missing the simple, precious moments that mattered most back then.
Back when time was given freely,
when a visit meant so much more,
When laughter filled the living room and no one rushed out the door.
Far too many times we let
unimportant things fill our minds,
And only later do we understand
what we left behind.
So be sure that you let people know how much they mean to you,
Take the time to share your heart
while you still have time to.
Be sure that you appreciate and cherish everything you have,
And be thankful for the little things
in life that hold meaning in your heart.
So make the call, go make the visit, don't wait for someday to start…It could be to late.
Make the time now because the greatest things we ever have
are the people in our heart.
I am grateful for having lived long enough…
having traversed life’s ebb and flow
to be around to watch my family grow
and grow and grow.
And I am just as grateful every day
for all the friends I’ve made along the way.
Finally as a new year begins
as I turn the next corner…the next bend…
I’m grateful for my friends who have become my family
and how my family have become my friends…
Each rose, gratitude gathered into a bouquet.
Family bonds made stronger with the years.
Friendships nurtured along the journey.
Treasured smiles upon faces of loved ones.
What better memories to have and cherish.

Politics
used to have
borders
Within which
the battles
were found
But now
those conflicts
spread far and wide
Running
friendships
and families aground
The baby
thrown out
with the bathwater
Noses
cut off
to spite every face
Civility
gone
fraternity pawned
With zero sum
outcomes

If time were a gift
I would open it like the Christmas kind
with smiles, laughter, and joy
but still, I would make a wish, as if Santa would answer,
I would wish to change something
Perhaps my siblings' fate
I would tell her young self to love less
I would be a bit rude to her, so that
she may learn that love is not of existence
I would erase the word love from
her completely
and maybe then, when I come back, she wouldn't be fooled by it
by its wrapped, faded beauty
and somehow we could still be friends
and I could still call her sister
and maybe she will learn from her memories
that even hurt can be for the better.
For as long as her breath brushes my ear like a breeze,
for as long as she is alive, her existence will forever be the greatest gift.
The good things in life,
While all around us,
Too often go unnoticed,
Unappreciated simply
Because they are all around us.
Things like water and air,
Firm Earth and Sun’s light,
And not least, each other,
The companionship of fellows
Be they human or otherwise.
What really matters
Is the companionship
Sharing this life
For better or worse;
Always a blessing.
