the web of life

I am the child,
that emerges from the womb,
and merges with the light!

I am a speck of dust,
on an endless horizon,
that sinks with the sunset!

I am the quiet calm,
and yet, the broken glass,
that shatters in my scone!

I am the juggernaut,
remiss of any restraint,
that rattles and chafes my bones!

I am a beacon,
I am the swelling tide,
I am the safe harbor at night!

I am the ghost,
of the past and present,
I am the whispered delight!

I am the vision,
I am the lustrous illusion,
that binds or blinds my sight!

I am all these things,
encompassed in a closet,
surrounded by whitewashed walls!

I am all of you,
I am the stained stitch,
we are all one, weaving a wide web!
