Premium MemberMemento on the Moon

The Sea of Tranquility gives rise to a parasitic plague,
Colonizing mechanical machines grinding,
Robotic arms frantically fabricating an inhospitable habitat.
Plumes of blackened smoke drift off into zero gravity—
A profuse profanity birthing intergalactic implosions.
Forfeited steel domes replace a once-pristine satellite,
Whilst humanity, like vultures, journeys to their new paradise,
Foaming at the mouth to exploit the dark side of the moon.
Looking outside the frosted rocket's windows,
Earth's decaying corpse is nothing but a mere memento mori in the rearview window.

Let's be friends people

Let's be friends
People
I want you people to remain
Being my friends
Forever
If it is possible
I don't think I am asking too much
What do you thing people?
Because it is impossible
For me to be without you friends
My life would be empty if I didn't had you
Can you understand that
Also life is beautiful when we have each other
Also I am not planning to be alone
Without friends
Yes I treat you all very well
Don't tell me friends that I treat you badly
Because that is a lie
That you friends are fabricating
I don't like that at all
I want you friends to be honest
And only speak the truth
Because you are hurting me
With your lies
I need to keep our friendship going
Because you all are my closet friends
And we have known each other for a
Life time
Also I am afraid to lose you
Some day
Because I am aware that you were not made
To live forever
We all have to die
Some day
Weather we like or not
Because our father made life
Like that
Friends you say that death is very scary
For you
I can't argue with you about that
Because that is how you feel
You have the right to feel that way

rising from bed in the morning
seeking shelter when it's storming
idly whiling stray hours away
dreaming there will be better days
fabricating a self-image
with a more prominent linage
doodling on back of a letter
shunning life as a go-getter

paying of various taxes
wielding rhetorical axes
stopping by the grocery store
dealing with muscles which are sore
waiting in the queue at the bank
musing why the page remains blank
finding the proper words to say
quickly dealing with come-what-may

filtering life's little lessons
leaving positive impressions
contemplating all that might be
if we'd just win the lottery
making life much less exacting
all in the action of acting
discovering what keeps us sane
among remains of the mundane

Gilded Life

Lost in a labyrinth of
Glistening sights
Infinitely out of reach,
Trembling amidst sweeping mistrals,
Fabricating a life of nostalgic allusions,
Caught in lapsed reveries, of
Restless arias and faint rustlings
Sequestering my rampant aura,
Bleeding in russet naivety,
Evaporating in silent elegies.

Fiery furnace-filled flames,
Fabulously flash-flare;
Fantastic feelings flow,
Forming flamboyancy;
Flirtatious fancies foam,
Fabricating frenzy;
Freedom flutters fondly...

Fabrication

When running for office,
You might as well lie
For nobody cares about truth,
And if you are caught
And reporters ask Why?
You can blame it on errors from youth.

A lie isn’t merely
“A poor choice of words,”
Which reminds me of “alternate facts.”
The political climate,
With tweets like the birds,
Doesn’t worry how someone reacts.

So a twist of a phrase,
Using “Jew-ish” instead
Of denying your claim as a Jew
May assuage any guilt
Over things that you said,
But no job should be given to you!

*George Santos, Republican U.S. Representative-elect,
has admitted to fabricating key details of his biography.

Actually Going Outside

Actually Going Outside

We decide to do the cliff walk
from Bray to Greystones
even though the day is grey
and the heavy clouds are low overhead
with a distinct possibility that it will bucket out of the skies
but we don’t care
because we’ve set aside the day for this
and a few pissy showers aren’t going to stop us
from making the journey along the winding Wicklow coastline
because we promised ourselves we’d do it
and we want to stick to our guns this time
because we’ve spent too long putting things off
and wasting our time on Facebook and You Tube
and prevaracation
and telling our friends
all the interesting things we do when in reality
it’s a virtual reality we’re fabricating that is more or less
an entangled mass of tissued stories and tall tales
and posed-for selfies
to delude ourselves and others
that we have an actual life
but not this time
because
this time
we are actually going outside.

Premium MemberThe Sense of Sailing

On a boat hidden and unseen,
I glide with the current of the river called life.
The wind on the raised sail whispers,
how brave sailors cross the storm surge,
narrates the fascinating story of the land far,
the river hasn’t seen.

I drift past faceless people on the bank,
some songbirds I adore fly with me.
The river promises to take me to the sea,
where the waves roll with pearly crown,
sunburst sky sprays the charisma of colors,
fabricating the collage of surreal fresco.

The river keeps its promise, takes me to the sea,
I sail on the rhythm of its silky swells,
drift across the sapphire stretch of seven seas,
beyond which there will be no sea to cross.
Maybe I will meet someone there to tell me,
why the ancient mariner made this journey.

Premium MemberParents of Chiz Dizz and Fritz

Chiz was a romance writer who actually made a living.
Her dad was embarrassed by her genre, refused to acknowledge.
Her mother put her down, to please her father.
She kept happily publishing her books, unconcerned by their opinions.

Her sister Dizz was a brilliant cartoonist.
They did not consider this “real” art; being pseudo intellectuals.
If they spoke of her craft all, they were poking fun of it.
Having no sense of humor, they could not comprehend.

Their son Fritz was a drag queen. He never told them.
Fabricating a story about being a lawyer’s assistant.
They bought that, because they wanted to buy it.
He never worried about them coming to his show.

These parents put all three of their children down, made fun.
Others touted their accomplishments and gave them awards.
All three were acknowledged and acclaimed in their fields.
Their parents missed out, never knowing their own children.

Premium MemberAbecedarian Alliteration

An abecedarian Australian animal activist
Bagged bodacious big bucks
Caustically criticizing crocodiles,
Driving darling dragons
Essentially extinct. Eschewing
Fact, fabricating fanciful fiction,
Grifting gloriously,
He haughtily held hostage
Important, instructive information,
Juxtaposed jaundiced, junk
Kangaroo kills,
Leveling large lizard libel,
Manufacturing marsupial misinformation malevolently.
On other ominous occasions,
Preferring pernicious propaganda,
Quickly, querulously, quashed
Real, rational reports, rather,
Substituted several substantially
Tarnished technical travesties,
Undermining unified understanding.
Very vociferously, viciously
Wrote works without warrant,
Xenophobic xenotypic
yarns, yammering yellow-bellied yawps,
Zombie-like, zealously.

Premium MemberI Cannot Take Your Money

The cards were a prop
Commoners like them
They tell her nothing
She is a psychic

Clarity comes from her spirit guides
She studies the cards carefully
Fabricating elaborate meanings
To keep the man interested

He is a nonbeliever
Her open channel slams shut
Tell him nothing her spirit guides say

I cannot take your money, she tells him
I apologize but the spirit guides are not speaking today
Maybe this one was the real deal he tells his wife later.

Premium MemberPanorama

In the mist shrouding mystically
the journey’s penultimate mile
at the fringe of the fading pasture
of the un-blossomed future obscure
in the twilight hour transient
the sunset swansong resonates
for the forlorn life silently spent
and becoming silhouetted still
against the shrinking skyline of lost luster
seeing the last sparkle of the dying day.

The twirling threads of turmoil
entwined in seamless motif
with the passing clouds of passion
surging through the sensuous storm
to the unwary horizon dark
halcyon once with splendorous hues
tinting the chameleon transformation
on the convoluted yearning canvas ablaze
as from its burning rememrance remnant
the abandoned ashes fly away.

The shards of the splintered hope
in the swirling squall of relentless agony
afloat on the melancholic waves
of melted fervor flowing in the stream of tears
the remaining rays of sanguinity
survive still in the final flashes
of the sinking sun not yet morbid
fabricating the last lattice latent
of the tapestry of dream
swathing the panorama of the promising life.

Premium MemberPall of Prejudice

As the paradigm of evolution down the line
formulates a set of human values of intent,
the survival instinct, an axiomatic need,
gets woven in the fabric of consciousness.

The seeds of empathy embedded in the mind
germinates and grows as sapling of humane traits.
The buds of beliefs blossom to adorn
the structured societal norm of harmony.

But the mist of intolerance of the complex times,
clouds the modern man’s jaundiced eye,
altruistic intents are shrouded by pall of prejudice,
fabricating a biased and motivated value system.

In the abyss of narrow ethical perception
alienated lives wander in the secluded alley.
For them to find oneness of soul under the divine sky,
it’s time to clear the predisposed colored vision.
