Eyes Off the Road

Will you remember
you
routes
trafficking
among the
self-driving cars?

Premium Member Seven Lines Of Poetic Craps

Dice black and white
Not looking for a fight
Lucky hands, grip tight
Wanting a winning sight
Put pair into flight
Fist raised, power, and might
Snake eyes say good night

Premium Member Blind Dancing With Eyes Wide Open

The room is stripped of shape and shade,
Where colors blur, and contours fade.
No mirrors watch, no eyes critique,
As silence yields to what they seek.

The music breathes, a sudden tide,
A map that forms from deep inside.
The cello hums against the floor,
A heavy footstep at the door.

They step into the weightless air,
Unbound by sight, immune to stare.
The treble sparks, a silver spark,
That cuts a path across the dark.

They spin on rhythms felt, not seen,
The space between becomes a queen.
A tilt of chin, a sweeping hand,
They trace the contours of the land.

For sight is bound to wall and stone,
But movement claims the sky alone.
They do not miss the candle’s gleam,
Who dance inside the fabric’s seam.

I have drunk my death in your eyes,
and now my thirst is sated.

Premium Member An Ounce of Tears

A string of pearls gleams in her aster eyes
she tries to veil grief away
but truth will ever stay.

Premium Member Dancing Without Eyes

In dancing, as experienced by my eyes,
I see figures of beauty and of grace,
in steps, choreographed or improvised,
moving rhythmically through space;
but, as I see others, I become aware
that others may set eyes on me as well,
another circumstance, altogether,
as they see a homely man without hair,
not an Arthur Murray clientele,
and much heavier than a feather.

Yet, by replacing sight with other senses,
I find it was my eyes that did impede,
with self-conscious, self-constructed fences,
but now, my joyous spirit has been freed,
and I can connect, engage, and hear,
as my body, merges with the sound
of the rhythm and the melody,
and my feet, my heart, my soul, my ear,
lose themselves as I twirl madly round -
thankful that I can no longer see.

The Mystic Eyes Of Megan

Woo-woo, The mystic eyes of Megan
paint life in blue and grey,
no glimmer of sunlight
breaks through my cloudy day:
our footprints have been erased
by the drifting breeze that
even dissolves the lovely thoughts
thoughts we wrote on the dune
with childish whim and delight,
while we hummed a happy tune...
feeling mellow, not sad!

Wpp-wooo, we resemble
dry leaves falling off
a shedding tree branch,
standing over the foggy ranch;
does anyone catch them
to remind us of Autumn
and comfort grieving goldfinch
waiting for days in vain:
she has lost her soulmate.
Don't run from me again,
don't be more cruel than fate!

Woowoo, the mystic eyes of Megan
paint like in blue and grey,
there's no sunset, no dawn;
ditch your silly monotony,
brighten your day.
I have been patient enough
to tolerate what I don't deserve,
I have been too kind; I often laugh...
hiding this anger I would like to unnerve!

Woowoo, I am that lover who satisfies all desires
be forever true, don't cheat on me:
woowoo, this beautiful thing is simply
called love, honey;
no woman has ever told me lies,
I love endlessly,
I demand sincerity!

The Mystic Eyes Of Megan

The mystic eyes of Megan , not sad!
paint life in in blue in blue and grey,
no sunlight breaks through my cloudy day;
our footprints are erased
by a drifting breeze that
even dissolves the thoughts
we wrote on the sand tune
with childish joy and delight,
while we hummed a tune,
feeling mellow, not sad!

We resemble dry leaves falling from
a shading tree branch,
standing over the quite ranch;
does anyone catch them
to remind us of Autumn,
and comfort the goldfinch
waiting for her three days in vain:,
he has lost his soulmate.
Don't run from me again,
don't be more cruel than fate!

The mystic eyes of Megan paint life in blue and grey,
ditch your useless monotony, brighten your day;
I have been patient enough
to take what I don't deserve.
I have been too kind, I often laugh,
hiding my anger I like to unnerve!

I'm that lover who satisfies all desires,
be forever true, never cheat on me;
this beautiful thing that thrills us
is simply called love, honey.
no woman has ever told me lies:
I love endlessly, I expect sincerity!

Premium Member Those Marble Eyes

Somehow among the hidden leaves of time when quietude swerves on a road
leading me to reach for waning hours
there is a hush of evening's breath
                     panting inside those marble eyes ;

that I learned to live unkissed...until
gazing long enough into darkness
             your iced look might blink,
to open windows that are locked
by hinges of our angst enmeshed :

The distant screams paint your irises
jutting out from a frame of hard lids
    buried deeply on frigid weeds--
while I...I filled the night's chalice
     with knots of desire...
as the night finally loses its elegance ,

and how your misted tears invade
the gloam behind the braille of lamp
in your eyes-- then I learn to understand
how confidential this stained time is
  when you fade away,

knowing not I am there. just there.

Dilate My Eyes

Since your up and leaving
I’ve been heavy bleeding.
Take this restless heaving
And recycle everything of mine
I gave to you that held meaning.

Disassemble these arms
That have clung to you.
They have done nothing but weep,
So distance your name from mine.

Call me when you’re back in town
So I can dilate my eyes and hide from you.
Your gaze is too piercing,
And your body is too beautiful to me
So I can’t bear to look.

Don’t tell me when you’re gone.
Why should I have to suffer your leave?
For the seventh time, with the flashbacks.
Take your time here but leave me lonely
Unless you mean it, unless you’re ready to want me.

It will soon reach a decade passing,
Like distilled water standing
Still in its same bottle.
I am the water marinating
In the reminders of you.
Choosing suffering, and choosing
My own suffocation by not moving on.

Premium Member Evil Eyes II

Over and over I was beaten and battered
And my idea of a perfect home life shattered
But I was one of the lucky ones let there be no doubt
Because I was one of the few who made it out

I could have died at the hands of my mother
But not just me also my sister and brother
So I'll take a tough stance with no apologies
Because we're still alive with no eulogies

Sometimes true evil is a devil in a dress
And children are the ones in distress
In foster care I used to hear the stories
From the sad and suffering it was so gory

A tale I never truly wanted to tell
But if I have to I'll scream it from the gates of hell
If you stand with a demon it taints your soul
Turning it from white to black as coal

Sadly experiences like mine are common tales
And all over the world children suffer when society fails
Blessed by angels I broke the shackles to be free
And grew up in a loving home allowed to be me

Look into my eyes
And tell me when I'm saying lies
We were just three souls
Thankfully saved from a heart of coal

Premium Member Evil Eyes I

Look into her eyes
See evil that tells only lies
See three lost souls
Strangled by a heart of coal

See her stares
As men watch with glares
Women watch with empathy
A woman deserving no sympathy

Women once picked the bear
As if any man would truly care
So isn't it ironically tough
Men will now pick the bear so rough

The truth is we all heard her
But only some see the truth in murder
But when she lost her way
Three children forever lost their day

Don't bother trying to lecture
I'm done with their lame conjecture
If it were my mom she'd be disowned
And if it was my wife divorced and left alone

Look into my eyes
And tell me when I'm saying lies
See the three lost souls
Strangled by a heart of coal
