Love is Love - and other absurd truisms
“Love is love” is like “Follow your bliss”
a way to deflect the moral agency
and subsequent consequence of our desires
with vague equivalency.
It’s like all love and bliss is somehow equal,
which is absurd.
What if my bliss comes from destroying yours?
Or I love abducting, raping, slicing and dicing
then barbecuing
the infant you love…?
Where is the moral equivalence?
This is why the Golden Rule sounds great
up until you are up against a masochist.
And the world today is apparently filled with masochists.
But it’s all good…
At least it feels good,
to think we are all the same, all equal
in what we love and cherish.
The truth is we aren’t.
We may all be made of the same dust,
but that doesn’t make us equal.
Meanwhile the world turns,
a hit soap-opera
in its nth season
spinning relentlessly
a veritable Wall of Death
which in its shocking extreme
delivers some kind of perverse pleasure.
It may not be bliss,
or even what we love,
but it’s certainly captivating.

UPON THE HILLS
upon the hills lies a centre of academic excellence
Professors and Doctors are vessels of this importance
Vibrant cool fresh breeze bless' its equivalence
Oh the mighty University of acquaintance.
Fully furnished bochord for vast exploration
Well inaugurated computers for extensive revision
A well accomplished futuristic wireless lnternet
For students curricular and co-curricular activities
Tik-tak, East or west, you embrace there presence
Tall or short, dark or brown, you reward there patience
Oh the mighty University of acquaintance
The university without walls.
Quality is our daily bread,
Like the appostles creed,
We pray that you always lead
For generations to glorify your commencement
Kabale University,
A university of the people
For God and my country.

Glancing at him from the window's glass,
It felt as though the railway had taken away his joy.
Sometimes his hard stares or into nothingness.
Being nouveau to the town; from my madam I heard his tale,
He was a miser with her, his woven bag of pearls.
Her Milkyway skin had an equivalence to jade,
Lips rosy from his unending kisses,
Even though she was his, and a peasant thereof,
Her garment smelled of class and nothing less.
His childhood had been a blasphemy, an abusive pa,
And a public town helper for a ma.
Famously known as a child bathed in blows and scum,
In his childhood he was pitied by no one.
More the reason he lost her to a forever moving train,
With the prince as its driver.
I must have hit an item to the floor,
As he turned to face me directly - grunting like the old man he is,
Wearily he headed back to the lovers' bench,
Where he once sat with his love;
Gazing and laughing at the passengers who had been left behind.
Distinct,but complementary
flowers of mutual fusion,
in perfect harmony;
Sensibililties will embrace,
incensed by aromas of love,
the bond is revealed;
Opposites,yet in alikeness
the attraction of natural
magnetism is sealed;
In the uniqueness of husband and wife
an equivalence,for life
with bliss as the centre
let us draw a circle
boundaryless and expanding
enveloping existence
in vibrational equivalence
whilst retaining uniqueness
of the wondrous starlit sky
creating therein a pulse
of transformation and renewal
unending
