If you have not gotten to know my soul.
Then you know nothing of my scars & my soul.
So save the egotistical compliments to take my blindfolds off.
They will not work.

Self absorbed, inconsiderate,
Thinking only of yourself,
Your disregard for others is palpable,
You lack feelings for others health,
Focusing on your own pleasures,
Fun is more important than rules,
Egotistical, self-centred, narcissistic that's you,
Your thoughts are "I will worry if I catch it",
Just remember those around you could catch it from you,
A deadly virus is not a game,
Your lack of concern is a crime,
Your opinionated you dont see the bigger picture,
You just carry on enjoying yourself,
Breaking all the rules you just dont give a dam,
Your empathy for others is so sweet ........ NOT

I clung to the hot metallic ladder
Standing on the ground, it's strength eclipsing its little quaver
I started to climb, as it led to where I wanted to be,
But the fiendish friction decieved my laboured steps, each rung being slippery,
In each effort, I slipped,
Sometimes gently, sometimes with a crashing thud,
Hurting different parts of my heart, soul, mind and body,
Physically, mentally and mostly emotionally.
Yet I try again, I clasp the torrid metal,
That recoiled at my touch, trying to shake me off,
But I clung to it like a parasite,
Because I knew, the ladder led me to my target,
Therefore, I refused to let go,
And climbed on and on in a flow,
Enduring, striving, panting as I worked my way up,
With the hope to see the day I would reach the top,
I climbed on and on...........

I had a boss who thought he was it
He was an Egotistical Twit
When he passed away
On funeral day
Only two people showed and that’s it

How you stand so nonchalant
When I’m the one who built this font
Doing everything which needs to be done
While you sit idle watching me run
A life I’ve made for our children and us
While you’ve focused on you, unable to discuss
You’ll regret your choices; incapable to go back
Our children have seen what you insufficiently lack
You chose a career over the ones who love you most
Our existence in your life; we’re merely a ghost
But we’re happy with your choice and pacified within
We saw the meaning of life through your egotistical grin

Form: I do not know?
If I told it today,
In this moment, right now,
Would you believe me?
Not just please me,
But believe me?
If I opened my chest
And exposed my heart,
Would you not hold me?
Not bring me comfort?
Not shed a tear?
My God! Can you even cry?
Supposing I loved you,
And gave my all
With no returns,
Would you then be glad?
To hold my life
Within your reach?
To drag me down,
To wipe your feet?
Thank God! I haven’t loved you!
And if I saved you
By telling a lie,
Supporting your wrong.
Would you bend a little?
Stoop before your lie
And ask for understanding?
And if I cried for you,
Hurting inside,
Would you see me?
Acknowledge my pride,
As woman, not child?
Would you even see me?
