MY-DOUBLE ACROSTIC
My mind is in a dilemmA
You’ve asked for a double acrostiC
Does it amuse you to make me suffeR?
Only you would torment me sO.
Usually I enjoy your contestS,
But this one is stretching thing a biT,
Leaving me with a feeling of ennuI,
Each time I hear the word acrostiC
Pot that cooks many tasteful souP
Over and over like love of crescendO
Enticing the lustful lost eyes to tastE
Tree with many branches like the tastemenT
Rendered in an unequal mouth, different thinkeR
Yam sliced by different hand yet very handY.

Best take great care not to fluB
Lines or fail to follow a logicaL
Evaluation. Doubtless you’ll believE

Research is definitely needed, foR
Only a few words will be fitting tO
Select, for you to achieve succesS!

(A Double Acrostic is one where the ultimate letter of each and every line, matches the first letter of said line. Not the easiest of acrostics to write, if a sense of continuity and logic is to prevail. The next step of course, is to have a rhyming sequence added. I shall leave that for another day!)
H onor, unseen, unheard, not felt, is not mucH.
O ver there at the other side where we will all gO,
N othing's worth preserving, not things we've knowN.
O nly the declared weight that the scales tell us sO
R eveal the fate where we stay entrenched foreveR.

T hose who sow Terror eventually musT
T ry to evade these men of strength and griT.
L ove for their country moves them and they wilL
E liminate threats of an armed offensE.

Hoping your times are all easy and not rougH
All to be considered a triumph without dilemmA
Passing into a new year without any hardshiP
Pervasive good luck follow you down or uP
Your entire new year, may you laugh and be happY
Never may you worry or have a concerN
Ending the old year with hope that’s genuinE
With the coming new year, may blessings reneW
Your entire family, may they all enjoY
Each and every day in the new year completE
All your harvests amount to a plethorA
Repeating as they did last yeaR
This is a double acrostic. The last letter in each line is the same as the first.
Amidst the cold climate we enjoyed sled riding.
We also had so much fun building an igloo.
I felt alive in those days, hardly any woes.
Now you may say that this is no sport at all.
Take heed that even the Olympics have these.
Every winter so many do this thing that I bid,
Racing, swaying, these and more we did savor.
Sled riding is easier, though many enjoy to ski.
Pleasant fresh aromas of winter always spread.
Outward and inward like a bitter cold safari.
Riding upon a sled by setting or lying down,
Takes control of our lives in childlike blessing.
My first double acrostic,,,inspired by a contest,,,first letter of each sentence spells out title and the last letter in each sentence spells out the subject..

Amorous glances of romance enhance
New love. in a heat of passion we
Gambol in our birthday suit
Ensemble... your scent wafting,
Lilac and passion fruit, we tussle..
Felicity, love with such simplicity,
Obsession through adversity,
Overjoyed in our continuity... a
Delicacy, healthy like my Angel Food...
