Tempest hits hard in the depth of darkness
Rocks the tormented life’s directionless boat
Hope holds the tattered sails upright
The ordained voyage assigned I’ll surely finish
As God shows me the divine beacon of light
I’ll navigate across the rough tossing sea
Never losing faith in His guiding grace
I’ll reach the shore gleaming in hues of heaven
Kindle humbly in mind the candle of gratitude
With heart filled with bliss, it’s Him I’ll thank

FRAGILE HEARTS DOUBLE ACROSTIC
F inally you appeared, right out of the blue
R andom chance that I would ever meet you
A fter all that we've been through
G od knew that our hearts were fragile too
I nstead of searching for love in vain
L ove has brought us here together
E ternal bliss supplants stormy weather
H appiness was found here in your smile
E verything you do, makes life worthwhile
A fter you, there could never be another
R ipples of you will go on forever
T rials and tribulations are in store, but
S ay you will stay with me forevermore

F allen victims of tragic love
R esurrected emotions, just to be
A nihilated by deception again
G oes against my will, and common sense
I ntuition tells me not to trust again, then

Hoping your times are all easy and not rougH
All to be considered a triumph without dilemmA
Passing into a new year without any hardshiP
Pervasive good luck follow you down or uP
Your entire new year, may you laugh and be happY
Never may you worry or have a concerN
Ending the old year with hope that’s genuinE
With the coming new year, may blessings reneW
Your entire family, may they all enjoY
Each and every day in the new year completE
All your harvests amount to a plethorA
Repeating as they did last yeaR
This is a double acrostic. The last letter in each line is the same as the first.
Saturday I got to choose fun foods to eat
Particularly when mom ordered in pizza.
Let’s say it was the best day of the week
Invoking that savory smell of pepperoni.
Sunday was for repenting Saturday’s sin
Hallelujah, the tweaking songbirds sing.
Saturday nights I’d try to outwit my mom
Pretending I didn’t want my rubber ducky
Linking my baths to water torture, I’d sob,
Although I kinda loved my bathtime, sorta.
Since it was my plan, punishment felt just,
Half an hour longer got added to my bath.

Rejuvenated all the more to do utmost best midst constant revival
Earnestly, I’m resolved to fulfill God’s will along values eternal
Steadfast through Christ’s strength, I’ll abide in His compassion’s security
Optimizing, over frailties, offered reaching-out opportunity
Love, grace, and mercy with others I’ll share liberally
Vanquishing selfishness dominance by the Saviour’s care verily
Empowered with the Holy Ghost, my spirit yields to His eabling
Dutiful despite disabilities for prayerful supplication detailing.
Toward triumphant thankfulness, though at times, turbulent
Onward, I pursue by the Omnipotent as an overcomer, spiritually opulent.
Driven to become productively diligent of faith’s direction
O bedient, I trust my Master Who overtakes me by His divine operation.
Blessings the Almighty pours by His grace bestowment
Every day I’ll use along goodness endowment
Sufficed with His bounty, surely satisfying
Thankful, my heart exalts His name … of His greatness testifying.
