Premium MemberDonuts Come and Go

Donuts come and donuts go,
because they're round, and so
when you take them off the fire,
they're shaped like a rubber tire,
with a hole right in the middle -
they ain't no pancake from a griddle.
Where do the donuts go?
Don't ask me, I don't know.

Premium MemberDonut Day

It’s Donut Day in the USA
Forget the dieting for today
Sugary and sweet
And rough on one’s teeth
For just one day don’t fret o’er decay.

Premium MemberOrhams Old Fashioned Donut Shop

The Cinnamon Bazooka Bun is an ardent dough
a pound of sticky heat that dissolves
the tongue in an ****** of butter.

There is an uncertain pantless fervor here
in the parked Impala, a craven pursuit of the
spiral core, winding mounds of sacchariferous frit

A cop drives by--and we shrink in our non-chalance
our frosted, reunion-phased glaze betrays no chance
that something untoward is not happening here.

Donut

Resources available
Vehicle intact
Shelf displaying
Filled donut
Sitting quietly
Hidden publicly
Container open
Texture soft
Bavarian creme
Dopamine released

Why???

Soul sick
For a quick fix
To the hardened heart
Let me in
I like being thin
But I don't know where to start

Cold, hard, crusty
Your fence is broken and rusty
Weathered by elements around
Overgrown with weeds
Failure, succeed
Yet nothing worth finding in the ground

Hope is present...LOVE remains

My Friend Is a Donut

MY FRIEND IS A DONUT

My friend is a donut
He’s as sweet as can be.
He’s a bit on the obtuse side,
But that doesn’t matter to me.
He’s not a talker, doesn’t like chit chat.
But he’s very supportive even though I’m considered stocky or fat.
He’s not a show off,
Doesn’t boast or curse at all.
And he’s definitely got my back in any fight or brawl.
He’s really been here for me through good times and bad.
I guess you can say he’s the perfect comrad.
What’s even more special about my sugary friend you see.
Is that he’s a great snack when I’ve got the munchies.

The Last Donut Temptation
David J Walker

A thousand donut shops
Greet me on the street
I see them on the way
To anyone I meet

I smell their frier frying
I can tell their bakers bake
I see their cream puffs creaming
I see the cinnamon shake

I know their glazers glaze
Their long johns twist and swirl
My eyes glass in a daze
As I watch their cruller curl

I can taste the fine white powder
Shaken on the top
Of every sprinkled donut
Every chocolate drop

It makes me twitch and twitter
If I am in the store
And a fresh hot apple fritter
Tells me I need just one more

I plead for divine intervention
A pray sincere and quiet
Save me from temptation
And this stupid cursed diet

Premium MemberIf I Were An Oscar Meyer Donut

If I were an Oscar Meyer donut
Living in a Pacific Island hut
I’d be sweet and sincere
And drink all your light beer
Scruffy beach bum sugar hair like a mutt.

Premium MemberHow's Your Old Donut Shop

How's that old donut shop, the one between your ears
Are you still serving up donuts like in all your previous years
Over a large cuppa coffee
With a Boston Cream or three
Till you finally close up shop and call it a career

Premium MemberLoneliness Is a Stale Donut

Loneliness is a stale donut
Forgotten and left in box
For how many days now?
How many days!
Takes as self-pity
Eating the donut it tastes like pain
And sickness rising in my throat
For I remain and the box I throw out

The Whole In the Donut

The Whole In The Donut

Nothing
 Look deeper
Many souls have been lost here
 At the stake of convenience
 All that sugar
 Has to go some where
 Down through your esophagus
 Into your kidneys
 Then it's cancer
 No wonder people are dying
 Frantic consumers filled with emotion
 Stick to fruits and vegetables
Dunkin Donuts is making a killing
 All because they can
Not to mention the hike in their sale price
Somebody must stick it to the man
 When will we ever understand

An Opulent Donut Wears a Suit

Opulence is not flatulence especially in a house. And onion peel is very useful for persuading a plant to float in a prism. It is often great to watch a pea boat sail past. Rather remarkable it is. Round swirling orb. The balancing of a metre thick rug is amicable when on a trapeze. Akin to turning around on a very high roller coaster. But when travelling does one not partake in crusts of buttered lava bread. Booming bongos bringing baking beads. And so tread carefully. And lightly. When mixing physical currants, raisins and particles of icing across the skyways. Skyways are often very interesting for the patterns arriving are never exact. Good. Great isn't it? Sunrises tell of faith in a sunflower. And thrice times a weapon is twenty times a sea urchin. Basking. Knead or need? Savour that in a barm. Belligerent barbershop breaks beakers. 1 2 3 4 huckleberry fin at a disco. And a fig dancing around to the tune of a saxophone played by a fat prawn with very googly eyes, buck teeth, and a stripey hat. Hum. Xxxxx humanitarian z plagioclase p and a custard donut assortment. Premium MemberA Donut a Small Price To Pay

Is the doughnut a small price to pay, for a man or woman who lays down their life for me and others every day. Is there no greater sacrifice than to lay down your life for another, why can't I look at law-enforcement as my brother? Sure they cause me pain, but it's not for their gain. It's because I forgot to follow the rules, should be slapped on the knuckles like the nuns did in school.Thank God they are out there for me without them I would be Not as safe, trepidation not glee.

Donut Hole

Quatret Poetry Soup contest

Who can describe Nothing?
Clue—it’s a little tricky to define.
For you see, Nothing is Something.
To disagree you should promptly decline.
If your notion is nothing is not anything,
That is somewhat asinine.

Take a donut hole for example.
Make sure my remarks sound snide.
Do not linger If the hole is ample
For your finger to fitly abide.
If so, the hole, your theory does trample.
Has the donut now injured your pride?

I say holes are definitely something.
I may step in a hole and break a leg.
How could this be if the hole is nothing?
This is my plea, kind Sir, I beg.
A hole is not Nothing—it’s Something.
An orifice is something in a keg.

Donut Shop Jingle

It's worth the trip-you know that's true.
So have yourself a piping brew.

A rich and pleasing Columbian treasure.
No other coffee can quite measure.

Sure, I'll have a donut or two.
Glazed or cream filled-either will do.

Yet it's the coffee I come here for.
One cup leaves me wanting more.

Trickles down my thirsty throat.
Hugs me like a comfy coat.

There's no other java quite as good.
Just my opinion-that's understood!
