My Memory of the Moon and Rain

I have a memory, somewhere in my head.
It's cold, it's dark and I am all alone.

I look at the stars, see the bright one on the right,
The one we saw together before you made me sad.

I taste the salt of my tears, that are diluted by the rain,
Which way do I go, I just don't know as I wander up and down.

People pass, nudging and bumping, I'm invisible nobody see's me,
There's nothing in my head just darkness,, then a flashing light.

I spin, or do I? Is it the world or my mind turning around?
Then suddenly I see much clearer, I'm not stuck, I'm free.

I know just what to do, I've finally decided,
I don't spin, I stride, I know now just where I am going.

The black river rushes beneath the bridge, foaming in whirlpools going so fast,
I stand on the bridge, I look up at the moon, I jump I am floating down as the river covers me!!

Premium Member lets decide who she should date

Slippery, an obstinate ostentatious otter
was determined to date my lovely daughter
I was against it said the pompous potter
such a silly idea, on which I threw cold water

There are worse men said the Potter’s wife, Cotter
This made his indignant anger grow hotter
Slippery is a good guy, argued his cousin Blotter
She is a professional scribbler, a true jotter

He is no slacker agreed his great grandma Knotter
But no one had asked the Potter’s lovely daughter
She came into the kitchen to get a drink of water
Slippery who? She asked the Potter and Cotter

They hemmed and hawed like a teeter-totter
Acting a bit stuck up like some kind of snotter
I decide who I date, stated the assertive daughter
Laughing hard now was her outspoken grandma Knotter

Indecision

In the centre of a bridge
and at a loss
neither there but here
only half-way across
coming or going
how would I know
as yesterday is far away
and oh so long ago
I'm stuck in the middle
but it doesn't show
forwards backwards
or over the side
I would jump at half the chance
if I could only decide

You decide

Remember when we were children?
We thought water flowed endlessly, and the leaves
never died.

At the playground, the sand was eternal. We would dig
to the very last grain until spring turned into fall.

Friendship lasted forever, every day
a new endeavor

We played until the sun met the earth, and
laughed until we didn't feel alone

Oh my, why does yesterday feel so long ago

Premium Member Sanity Isn't Yours To Define

You call me villain, cold and cruel,
Yet I’ve done nothing but breathe and endure.
I walk alone, not to isolate—
But to escape the sting of your quiet war.

You don’t scream, you don’t strike,
But your silence cuts deeper than knives.
You dress your disdain in concern,
And call it care while you twist my mind.

You say I need help,
But never ask what hurt me.
You diagnose me with your own delusions,
Projecting shadows where there’s only light.

I’ve searched myself for the monster you see,
But found only bruises from your beliefs.
You wear sanity like a crown,
But it’s forged from fear, not truth.

I am not broken.
I am not yours to fix.
I am not your mirror,
And I won’t reflect your chaos back.

So call me cold—
I’ve learned to freeze the pain.
Call me villain—
I’ve survived your story without becoming it.

But don’t call me crazy.
Because sanity isn’t yours to define.
And I am not yours to destroy.

Decide To Be Happy Now

Happiness is the way
Enjoy every moment now
Stop waiting to finish school
Start school, wait to lose $100
Make $100, when you have a job
Until you get married
Until Friday night
Until Sunday morning
Waiting on a new car
Until the bond is paid in full
Until spring, until summer
Until fall, until winter
Until the fifteenth or thirteenth
When your song is played on the radio
When you die, when you are born again
Before you decide to be happy.

Should we ever decide when others should give up hope

So many documented cases when hope,
Was prematurely extinguished by Doctors,
So many documented cases when hope,
Was about to be extinguished by law,
But before sentence could be carried out on hope,
They witnessed hope's flame burning brighter than ever,
Resulting in more questions than answers on the nature,
   And purpose of hope.
As far as faith in miracles is concerned.

Yet I still have no definitive answer to my question,
Should we ever decide when others should give up hope,
Except that to err is human,
And forgiveness of those who get it wrong,
Or have clear evidence that hope has moved on,
And hidden it for misguided or mischievous reasons,
May be the only way,
With hopefully a realization over time that hope,
Albeit fickle or not, is what keeps many a human in the game,
Long enough for miracles to come to fruition.

When I Decide to Leave

I need to learn how to leave myself alone
I want to spend the rest my days dancing
I'm always fighting my urge to flee
To soothe the restlessness in my bones
I'll make a blanket of my fears and wrap my things in it
I have a thousand reasons to never return

Tell Me Which Do We Decide Go or Stay?

Tell me — which do we decide — go or stay?
like a wounded bird love has taken flight
a grappling ponderance every day
as our ships steer silently in the night
reasons vary and we both understand
our storybook romance now a fable
loves demise was never part of the plan
stoic is our gaze across the table
so what do we do now that love has died?
no shame or blame as to who's right or wrong
just could not make it work Lord knows we tried
with you or not...it was coined in a song

I must say...I won't love you either way
so tell me... do we go...or do we stay?

Premium Member If you decide to get a cobra

If you decide to get a cobra
Better make it one who is black said Mrs. Minty.
We have a pet cobra that is white
She is prolific, her babies number twenty

I was horrified, for snakes are not my favorite things
I cannot imagine choosing to be with them.
And yet here was Mrs. Minty, whose praises many sing.
Who thinks a white cobra is her friend.

When the Stars Decide To Shine

A canopy of dreams
in a baldachin sacred space
Between this world
and the next
there is me and the stars
and a secret planet
called Mars...

You Decide

You can’t progress
Eyes can see it
Your eyes show as clear as day
You learned the art of taking advantage of others
Maybe consciously maybe unconsciously
Either way you learned it from another that did the same to you
And now you can’t shut it off
Your addicted
The question is
Do you want to love
Do you have the abilty to love
Do you have the ability to grow into something further
Something that can progress this world not destroy it
As some have so brilliantly showed in history thus far
After what has been done
Can you beat it
Or is it something that is going to consume you
You have to acknowledge it for what it is
Its not your fault that you learned it
But it is your fault if you recognize it within yourself and you decide to use it for power
For coercion, for seduction
You will never feel fulfilled
Quite the opposite
And in the end
Its only you that will suffer
You have to realize that by now
Because if you don’t
I fear that you may not see the end of your story
Because you simply don’t want to or you are too stubborn to see
But the end is clear
Now it is time for you to choose
You decide

Provide Time To Calmly Decide

When you are in a confused state
Born thoughts will not be great

For this you must postpone action
For the dying of possible friction

When calmly you try to deliberate
Good and bad, you can segregate

While holding a negative emotion
Pessimistic will be one's notion

At the time of a chaotic situation
Surely there will come no elation

Just do something else carefully
Forgetting this whole chaos fully

Analyze not the pros and cons
Try to establish not your stance

Allow the matter to take its course
Keep tranquility using mighty force

As a result of this postponement
You may soon face advancement

A solution will strongly emerge
As you suppressed your urge

Your reputation will surely soar
Your character, all will adore

Take time and decide very wisely
You can clinch success nicely

If decisions are like this taken
Heart can never at all be broken

This type of sagacious treatment
Will lead to a peaceful settlement

Just try this dear at your own pace
No doubt, joy and mirth, you will face.

Only Lovers Decide

Sharing rose coloured spectacles
crowning stars in the night
drinking chante in the corridors
Fabrics so evenly woven
fashion so vivid
I reply some day
only lovers decide
The air whispers many hues
Blessed moments of sweetness linger
warm rain falling at your feet
I may learn to trust again
