Cozier Poems

Origami Organs

With nowhere else to turn,
I'm driving this defective time machine off a cliff
I'm the lead detective but I'm off this case
If blankets and pillows can harmonize as weapons,
Then consider this a sleep of faith
A gas mask couldn't save me from this room you've filled
with tantalizing radiation you call a breath of fresh air
Brothers from different smothers
And I know that life is short
But with all this going into my lungs,
I might as well take a hit to get there first
And I know that life isn't fair
But brothers in control together, stay together
And in a race to my lungs,
I know what could get there first
And in a race to my ears,
I know you would lay your curse
on thicker and cozier
than a wolf in sheep's clothing
And moving forward without knowing
Is looking like my ticket out of this hell hole
If your goal was for me to fear you,
You won in the wrong way
I only fear the that I'll grow further out of this
And unfasten this mask
And pump my breathing tubes with a heavy dose of ignorant bliss
Which we both know is just your poison in lavenders clothing

Spring Landscape

with slender four legs
on the narrow table,
6 whole wheat bread slices
golden knife,
non-rotting wooden food stand
golden bucket
fragrant orange
Beyond, distant mountains shake
golden curtains that are cozier than a duvet
cat sitting down
doze off
a cat front
no tomorrow
someone starving under the table
crumbs
waiting to fall
with the morning sun.

Autumn Country Retreat

Flame-leaved, to a fireside's
Warmth of embracing.
Charming trailed, now is Autumn
Cozier facing!

No sounds, which time of year
Rainy, whilst rug-lain
Could ever be heard to dull
That crackle; heart's gain!

Procrastination
Written: by Miracle Man
6/3/2020

We often procrastinate because we’ve grown lazy,
and delay a thing’s start until it never gets done.
Sometimes we forget because our mind is age hazy,
and when all else fails we point a finger at someone.

Once on the “back burner”, a thing rests in place,
awaiting its time it becomes an overlooked chore.
Because unpleasant things we don’t readily embrace,
our minds gravitate toward cozier things to explore.

Premium MemberStars Are Out Tonight

Stars are out tonight--
more accurately
I am out tonight
to greet them, the
cozier side of me,
my evening thoughts
far more at ease
in dimmer light--

the pavement of my
steps less rowdy

for the clutter abating

with heels of high
and soles of tap
relaxing to slippers;

(the daily pace diminished
but not somber—as those
needed rests of a theater score;

I evacuate--having
survived a jittery line
with nervous anticipation--)

To say they are eyes
and not the eyes of others,
seeing not the worlds
and their journeys
is to forget the past
and deny the future
where we may all
yet greet, some unimaginable
place…

one could never count them
all, you know—for one thing,
they never stay in any place
long enough:
like people we love
treasured ones
becoming wrinkled
and feeble
like evolution--
in fact, to try
and hold on to any precious
moment or period
in time, is like trying to
guess a woman’s age
before the shades are drawn
when honesty begins….

Premium MemberWinter Wonder Cure

Winter comes
in its birthday suit
with invites
suggesting layers

In New York
snow was on the ground
next day, warmth
I went out sans cloak

In Jersey
warmth was inviting
by nightfall
my throat was hurting

Remedies
of raw garlic, teas
with cayenne
and honey held me

Fatigue came
slowing vibrant me
more meds came
with soups and hot teas

In N.C.
cozier space waits
with honey
I wanted out fast

Missions done
I boarded Greyhound
warm, too warm
I can't breathe in heat

Flu was on
soups were remedy
with honey
medicating me

Cold turned cough
aches would surely pass
I was up
best remedy was honey.

Dream

DREAM
Wanna take you to pub which is
right around the corner.

Like to get cozier with you
in a pub in goa.

Wanna flank ricotta
lips of yours.
Lick your mole which i s
right above your lipser.

Wanna see you wrapped in
silhouette which is
green in colour.

Wanna take you to
tito's.(A PUB)

Which is the best place to
rise in our temperature.
And dance to tiesto mix
which is best forever.

And dance to my tunes
oh my lover.
Holding you in my arms
oh my lover.

Wanna take you to pub which is
right around the corner.

Death and Dust......

Priceless payments of a life at stake
Desperate trials to live derailed
I cannot see you but wipe you
I cannot take you out but breathe you in
You are a complete mystery to me
You settle in every dirty street
The rich's grave to complete
The beaming lanterns help you glow
And the sun in that deep blue sky
Makes you cozier in the dark, closer in the light
But don't you feel bad...........
They call you their friends....
Though they make you a piece of the dark
That can be illuminated by those burnt forces
Or else you are a part of invisbility
Of that dark sullen unseen Hell
But don't worry
I call you my true friend.....
And you have been my truest to stand
The chair I bought new
And you sat on it first
Otherwise it was a non living entity
But you have made the volume grow
Settle on it as much as you can
I won't stop you...I have a bent back
Make a heap and let them sow
Be a part of light and I want to see you glow
Not the worse half of yours that light illuminates
The misty part that you happen to be in nights
I want to make you my closest friend
Because tomorrow I am turning to you
I am returning to the dust................
