Soft blue wind blows cottony clouds
In them I look for beloved’s face
Love never dies but bodies transition
Energy from one place to the unknown
Never can say goodbye
Cherish the memories and laughter
Even when the silence is so loud

Fur bounds, through the cottony breeze, to me.
On a warm, summery day,
the scent of dog resounds.
A wet nose, commiserate smile and hug.
Against my skin, he reclines.
I’m always home with him.
His eyes, see not, purple flowers blooming;
not intuitive of hue;
but bud’s loyal as bees.
My shoulder’s bare, does he know skin, or care?
He stays very close to me
and wanders nearly far.
My pretty dress and handsome hat amidst
the enchantment of meadow.
He doesn’t know its charm.
Obeys, he stays, protects territory.
A fine life, with benefits;
faithful to each other.

Straying away from the straight path
in search of sumptuous grass,
Me and my friends meander to the mountain top
on a crisp clear sunny day,
The cottony white clouds mirror our soft tufts of wool,
The sea is calm today, unlike us, who are restless;
Raff rests his weary head on Walter,
Sophie and Sara lay down side by side,
While Nero dares to stare at the 'deserter' in defiance...
We don't know where to go, what to do,
And so we wander around,
What if we fall down the ravine?
I am scared and edge back,
Whereas Nero and Terry fearlessly forage for food,
Browny wishes to follow them against my warning,
Most of my friends group together,
What next? Where is our leader?
I don't know, we have no idea,
We're all looking for our lost shepherd to lead us...
...back to safety

too brief …
the garland on my brow
too deep, that tangled labyrinth
of epics, eternal
entwining my sinews
the dark, deceitful dew
sopping sun with
the parched lips of laurels …
whispering whims -
spinning them like sugar
into cottony lullabies
honey-sweet lies that drip their
sticky magic on all the
ears they sunder …
no thunder -
just wild wonder and
tender hopes of a breathy kiss
the deathly hiss from a
serpent, soft
winding wispy, aloft
the tangy smoke of my burning ire
a last sacrifice to desire
and all the drab, ugly dreams
that once …
shined.

Sunlight in a blue sky
Dapples in and out of cottony grey clouds
Warming then soothing in turn
Two retiring humans under a tree
Amid a hundred shades of green
As a large yellow monarch
The king of insects
Glides and flutters by
With a sense of purpose and delicate grace
In perfect juxtapose.

Immodest elemental,
cloud of sin full vapor,
you stretch as a taffy,
bunched anti demure
Witch of the winds,
you -graph a pillow walk,
billboard drone of stalk
Joining peepshow in precarious ways,
your nefarious stay,
akin to shadows on the wall,
putting on a provocative play
In the depths of skyllines embrace,
where mind blows dance on silvery face,
woven by cottony lace
Is silver lining, your pockets,
as you sell your wares
of wet sprocket
Get a room!
Or a shade,
Or a pole, if you cannot refrain
from your billowing, soft, delicate,
supple, ways

Where mountains fade to valley shade
And trees give way to meadow's blade
Cottony cattail, wild lilies teem
Obscuring an enchanted stream
Tis there amongst the grassland rue
This tiny fairy village grew
I will not say just where they stay
And risk perchance they fly away
It was by chance or happenstance
We crashed a friendly fairy dance
We got derailed and left the trail
Looking for some swallowtails
Can you imagine our surprise
Fairies dancing with butterflies
They welcomed us and made a fuss
We danced with them and gained their trust
Our day was done, we'd had our fun
We said "goodbye" thanked every one
Then headed back to find our trail
Took home with us, this fairy tale.

From an aerial view, the sight of a beautiful red train
chugging along down the railway track
takes my breath away;
One moment I am watching a funnel shaped smoke stack sending puffs,
up towards the white cottony clouds then disappearing,
and the next I am hearing the sound of a whistle blowing.
A melodious voice is heard as a conductor enounces,
"tickets please,"
Out of my pocket I produce an admission ticket
that was long overdue ...
With one cotton white glove he presses the ticket
between his fingers then holds it up to his gold monocle and smiles ,
"welcome aboard then !"
He traipses over to supposedly important passengers that I cannot see
and leaves me sitting there, wondering about our destination.
How I got so lucky as to enter this magical snow train I have no idea,
but the scent of this leathery Kirlian man, still clings to my thoughts
like a revenant moment from a long forgotten past.

Constantly changing looks,
Cottony clumps spur a
Child’s creativity.
Could that be a giant
Caterpillar that now
Crawls across the sky? A
Camel it’s turned into!

Clouds dappled on blue can
coalesce into banks;
creating a dull, drab,
cheerless, depressing day,
consistent with rain and
children's disappointment.

Nature spills colored ink
upon flowers in bloom,
a peacock's blue-green plume
cottony clouds of pink
and the waters we drink;
creation's Her playroom.
Earth's sky is sapphire blue,
its seas, aquamarine,
its forests jungle green,
and gems in every hue.
I've named only a few,
but color inks each scene.
Earth's a colorful place
against the black of space.
