YOUR INPUT DIMS OR BLOOMS YOU

Your input dims or blooms you
Your choice you voice
Your attitude you express
You always pour out
What's inside you
Intentionally or unintentionally.

Your input dims or blooms you
What you consume
Becomes your costume
It sharpens or weakens you
The habit you keep
Determines your lifestyle.

Your input dims or blooms you
To be informed is to be aware
To be correct is to be brave
Because it can take you to the grave
In this world of cruelty
Where the evil ones don't feel guilty.

Our skin is not a costume

Our pain is not your entertainment
We don't exist purely for your amusement
My skin is not a costume
Don't treat us like we are some display In a showroom

We won't apologise for our presence
We will walk in every room with our heads up
Our silence our greatest weapon
It honours our intelligence
Your biggest flaw is your smugness
Our existence is your weakness
No wonder you try to demean us

Our afro is not an invitation
Your hands don't get to ruin hours of preparation
It is not for your exploration
And no we won't explain why it's so sacred
You dont get to be racist
But be in awe of our self made creation

We are proud of our blackness
You dont get to witness our greatness
Or be a part of our self celebration
Especially when you spent all your life on hating us
You dont deserve us
Nor our forgiveness

Premium Member My Costume of Gray

Every day I don my costume of gray
        preparing to frolic and play

Whatever the game may be that day
my gray masquerade gives me away

For deep inside, I tremble and shake
Will later I eat, or be lunch for a snake

Premium Member neither wanted to give up the costume

They fell in love at a Star Wars Convention
When the marriage fell apart,
I thought they would stop dressing like 3-CPO
Neither wanted to give up the costume
To this extent
They both attended their divorce party
Where they celebrated with a Star Wars cake.

Ethnic Costume

Great ethnic costume
Very bright and beautiful
Like a scent perfume.

Costuming Halloween Just Playing Here

Costuming Halloween

Masque my visage fast!
…So my eyes bulge out, drunken red, and give me
purpled, hairy lips and cheeks to complete
My bloodcurdling look — Yikes!
So scary…Not sweet!
So chilling that Halloween’s
Gross memories of seeing me will not be beat!

Then, when I float from door to door,
Levitating on a smoky breeze,
To greet the folks’ aghast gazes, I’ll growl
with a phantasmal voice to haunting, I’ll declare,
“Boo! Trick or treat!” and
They’ll step back away as if shock could kill, but
Thrilled, gasp, “Hey! Your costume’s a blast!”

Whereupon, I’ll begin my Halloween act
By morosely sharing, “T’is not a costume at all,
But my natural state…’T’is my own gross, gremlin grin;
My own foot-long ears; my own outlandish, fear-frizzed hair,
That altogether has me wailing, especially on
       H a l l o w eve n night
      “BOO-hoo! Boo! Boo-hoo!”

Witch Costume To Wear

Once upon a Halloween
I was a little black cat
Since then I have also been
A witch and the Cat in the Hat

One time I was Lily Munster
And then a witch again
I was also once Bart Simpson
Another witch, and then

A wizard and a zombie, too
The following year, a fairy
And, just to try out something new
More witches, sweet and scary

Dressed in purple, and in orange
And even once in silver
And, like a squeaky door hinge
A laugh to make you shiver

It may not be the best you’ve seen
This costume both cliche and kitsch
But when all else fails on Halloween
You can’t go wrong with being a witch!

Premium Member Our Halloween Devil Cat

Some years ago, on Halloween,
Surprised, as we came on the scene;
      Our grand-kitty, cute-
      In a devil suit-
Did look a bit angry and mean!

The kids put him in this costume;
He seemed okay, but showing gloom.
      Annoyance on face-
      We gave him some space
Left him on the carpet to fume!

With glare in his staring green eyes
He let us enjoy our surprise!
      Stayed still, played the part-
      God bless his sweet heart!
Let Halloween fun be our prize!

The Costume

My costume was airy and light
Even my colors were bright
Then I suddenly changed
Turn completely deranged
And ate the trick-or-treaters with delight

The Costume

The costume she wore was a drag
It made her look like a hag
She tried to spruce up
But looked like a pulp
Who soar with the colors of a flag

Premium Member Out My Window

When my work is almost done,
I love watching the setting sun…
And the sky changing its costume,
From the window of my room.
Colours like yellow, orange or red,
I find them in the sky, evenly spread.
I watch the sun moving towards the west,
After the day’s work, as if wanting some rest.
Out of my window, there I see a public park;
It’s a meeting place for all, till it gets dark.
With their beloveds, some come to it rushing,
Trying not to be noticed, they appear blushing.
In it, I find many a flowering plant;
Me, with their flowers, they enchant.
Full with colours, shapes, and scents,
A stunning kaleidoscope it presents.
In it, I find birds of different crests,
Drawing swiftly towards their nests.
And their noise to everyone connotes,
A grand symphony of musical notes.

Premium Member Costume of Lies

What one deeply thinks, feels
is published to the Universe;
the mind, a viewing screen...
and heart, it's amplifier – the
current, that of a soul longing,
seeking its path of return;

the outer-world, a distorted
reflection of our spirit-nature;

the Inner-divine, our only
truth of conscious being...yet,
we continue to don a sleeping

Hábito

Para o sucesso
e até o êxito
só os hábitos!

Para o êxito
só as ferramentas
os métodos
e a conquista
do coração de outra pessoa!

E tu,
que não sabias acredite:
no hábito há o mundo
 e nele há tudo
que em ti não cabe.

Comece a criar
o hábito de fazer
mais e mais.
