My Costume of Gray

Every day I don my costume of gray preparing to frolic and play Whatever the game may be that day my gray masquerade gives me away For deep inside, I tremble and shake Will later I eat, or be lunch for a snake ~ Sam the Squirrel

Good poem, Gershon. We have some very acrobatic squirrels in our yard. One leaps from the wooden wall that partially borders our patio to the window bird feeder. Sometimes he just makes it by his front paws, lol! We have some other feeding stations in the yard the squirrels cling to and eat from. Our two dogs killed a rat in the yard two weeks ago. Shalom :)

Looks like you might be a candidate for membership in the 'AASW,' Regina. What? You are not familiar with that organization? Why, it's the American Academy of Squirrel-Watchers,' as you've probably figured out by now. ~ Rocky and his Friends

Nicely penned, Sam. But what's a squirrel to do in a nutty world.

Haha, I'm rooting for Sam the Squirrel, unless he's the guy that ate avocados off my tree!
