Hidden Sparks In Ashes

Yes I have been burned down into cold grievous ashes.
But in ashes, still lies the glimmering sparks of my strength.
My spirit is still aglow by the fire that burns within me.
The fiery hope that holds me strong to overcome my ruins.

I will rise from these cold and wet ashes, spark by spark.
A regal incarnation will it be with an avatar of new flames.
Once I'm ablaze standing tall there will be no fading out.
You haven't seen the last of me yet, the spark is still there.

 Above is my response to the below quote by Rupi Kaur.

I have dug my way out the ground
with palm and fist many times.
My whole life has been one burial after another.
I will find my way out of you just fine.

Her mother had been suspicious,
He'd seemed a bit fictitious.

His anger soon did match his brawn,
His rage was quite devout,
Her hidden tears and bruises' spawn,
Gave up her life to doubt.

The morning came that she was gone,
She'd turned the ship about.
Three strikes upon three strikes upon
The fact that he was out.

Nevermore!
  I spread my arms to stop you;
    My feet to kick;
      My head raised to defy you;
        My mouth to spit;
          My tongue stuck out to mock you;
            My eyes to pierce;
              Next time I take a deep breath...

You have ceased to exist.
I finally erased you.

"Your death was a selfish act . . .
              driving your car off a cliff-
the pain you held ended that day but not for me
                        I have fallen in pits of darkness since-
but have found my inner strength and become strong
         I have buried all those I love, including you-
I will go on and be just fine, my love . . . "

Not even the softest hint of dawn
can wring regret from December's night
Nor can find remorse from the frozen ground,
or hasten a winter's thaw…

Yet, we are but wise
who will answer the brittle sound,
enlightened with a new-found awe
Rejoice in the pristine plan
and sight of this snowbound land

Life Teaches

Life Teaches.

In remorse,I can feel the spasms,
of the uncouth experience,
this world has cast on me.
These unstiched patches have
drawn me to more kindness.
Spontaneously,words drop like milk and honey,
so that this world is a sweeter place to live in.

Quote Prompt- "How is it so easy to be kind to people"? he asked....Milk and honey dripped from my lips and I answered"cause people have not been kind to me..."-Rupi Kaur.

I met DEATH at an early age and it seems he has followed me,
and as a quiet and shy child I soon knew all about bullies . . .
But instead of breaking me- it made me stronger!
I have a STRENGTH within that is unfathomable ~
At times, I have fallen into the pit of life and clawed my way out,
have been put down, abused, belittled, cast out, and forgotten.
But kindness has always d r i p p e d from my lips, cause kindness is the key.
