Premiere Contest Winner''Kindness Is the Key''

How is it so easy for you to be kind to people? he asked... milk and honey dripped from my lips and I answered, "cause people have not been kind to me." Rupi Kaur __________________ My path in life has been t a n g l e d from my beginnings- I met DEATH at an early age and it seems he has followed me, and as a quiet and shy child I soon knew all about bullies . . . But instead of breaking me- it made me stronger! I have a STRENGTH within that is unfathomable ~ At times, I have fallen into the pit of life and clawed my way out, have been put down, abused, belittled, cast out, and forgotten. But kindness has always d r i p p e d from my lips, cause kindness is the key. ___________________________ November 10, 2016 Poetry/Free Verse/Kindness is the Key Copyright Protected, ID 11-848-785-10 All Rights Reserved, 2016, Constance La France For the contest, Quote Prompt 1- Free Verse sponsor, Laura Loo First Place

This is such a lovely old poem of yours Constance. How true isn't it that kindness is the key to open our mind's door towards peace. Loved reading this... Will have to find time to read more of your poems... Hugs ~ Ani

So easy to say but so difficult for some of us to follow through. A wonderfully written sentiment.

Love this poem—so you! I got my poem showcased in blog and I entered it timely... I am happy that it made your win one less poet away! Check out my poem in my list; didn't present quite right on Laura's blog. MIND OF PEOPLE. You should relate to it well; in my opinion.

Kindness is definitely the key. This was fantastic, quite sad and heartbreaking within but the strength that was found is expressed perfectly and is very encouraging. I wish you the best of luck in the contest.
