One summer day Speedy Gonzales
met a very sweet girl named Alice
she liked his big yellow sombrero
it complemented her little bolero

The all too common
American squirrel
can become quite whimsical
in the random coloration
of their normally grayish hides.
Some are attired in formal black,
some in a fetching Albinus white,
and every shade in-between.
Little red,
unlike those rare British squirrels
(which are naturally red and fluffy),
displayed an unusual coat
of a fetching russet hue,
which many noticed
complemented well
any autumnal season.
Sad to say,
yesterday a hawk got him.
His remembrance service will be
held next Wednesday
at eleven-thirty a.m.
at Jake's gastro-bar and grill,
A light Rosea will be served.
Mourners are suggested to wear
(as a gesture of respect),
a boutonniere or other small reminiscence -
something a little red.

She lived to be the oldest of a staid,
unremarkable bourgeois family.
Lavender and off-white lace,
complemented her black ruffled attire.
She played the Granddame with much aplomb,
the matriarch of her passionless clan.
Occasionally her offspring
and her offspring’s offspring came to her for money,
a few with questions, appeals, unctuous compliments
She offered only sneers, curled and haughty lips.
In her days there were giants on earth,
they did not reach just for the middle shelves.
Their thoughts were painted hot-air balloons,
they imagined rocket ships made out of
bicycle parts.
Was it her fault that humanity had shrunk?
Day after day she gave audience
to unimaginative midgets, the small minded
affronted by her regal demeanor.
When she died they gathered
to pick the spoils, unfortunately for them
she had long disinherited her fortune
considering her kindred all just cheap satin
stitched over bovine buttocks.

One world in a trillion
Where everything clicked
In a Goldilocks zone
Where a switch had been flicked
Busted
Perfection soon rusted
When late party crashers
Were grab it and smashers
For eons they blended
Their world complemented
Till fresh out of college
With abundant knowledge
Busted
I’ve loved and I have lusted
I’ve taken and I’ve given
Not much to be forgiven
I never drilled for oil
But I used a small amount
So when the man says dust to dust
I hope that doesn’t count
Busted
Some plastic, some gas and inflammable stuff
So, no use in saying it wasn’t me, Guv
When I get my call from above
I’ve had my heating high
And I’ve had my water hot
I’ve left the faucet running
When I only washed a pot
Busted
That’s me done and dusted
I shall meet my creator
Through no incinerator
The mess we make as humans
Means every man’s on trust
For every year that we spend here
The more world we can bust
Busted
I’ll soon be soil encrusted
And I’d rather like to know
That the cost of me... was low

along the walk
to six acre wood
sat in the sunshine
still needing a hood
observing the swallows
swoop
& pass
over
the new growing grass
earth dry&hard
scented gorse
in yellow garb
hares in proverbial
careered without any nous
popping up
alongside us
across the vale
worship floated
enthused& elated
complemented&blended
my soul
being mended

All reciprocal love
it's not the same ...
Feeling love,
if you can ... not
if you can is to deliver love
to whom love does not wish ...
You can, and you must
be super strong ...
If we said
the truth of reality,
few yet
would believe ...
Symptom, it's a pain
that you only sense when
feel...
Say something,
it's one thing ... to be
understood, it's another ...
Freedom is an act
to commit madness
without going insane ...
What is known,
it is not known, until
let it be said ...
There is no common way,
nor measure
that fits
to all... !
Ps quotes from these famous thinkers
rethought and complemented by me,
without however escaping from central axis ...

I'm getting complemented on my looks.
'Well, what has changed?' I think I hear you ask,
For Tom Cruise I have never been mistook,
it's ever since I've had to wear a mask.
I wish I'd known this forty years ago,
those nights out on the pull that came to naught,
I would have got some cloth and learned to sew
then who knows who or what I would have caught.
Oh well, I strike a dashing handsome pose,
with my mask on, I'm gorgeous, so it seems,
without, red lines round ears and on my nose,
Not fooling anyone, no stuff of dreams.
That beauty is skin deep there is no doubt,
it just means that God made me inside-out.

Perseverance
We’ve a signed Thomas Kinkade painting that hangs in our home
which carries the name “Perseverance”.
I t was a Christmas present from dear friends,
and many times I’ve looked at this painting and quickly
remembered the letter that complemented it, which stated,
“My prayer is that when you look at this painting… you will be reminded that no matter what you’re going through right then…that God is faithful…
and after each storm… the sun will shine again. and one of these days...THE SON...will break through those clouds in the eastern sky…
and forever… we’ll be made whole.”
This has been such a strength as God brought me through difficult situations.
It’s been a constant reminder,
That Tough Old Birds Never Give Up

To be or not to be just write poetry, if you run out of paper do not despair there is always a computer somewhere you can tip tap along it’s like singing a song.
I can rhyme on a dime but time moves so fast sometimes I run out of gas, I eat snacks while I am creating and my scale in my bathroom proves that, I am truly stuck on this poetry.
It is like a drug I can’t get enough I am sure glad it is free, when I think that I am finished and post it online then something comes to mind so, I have to hit the edit key.
The edit key seems to be a favorite to me, I try to proof read it before I hit update it and something always tells me you have missed something, Bobby
When I get a comment I rush to see what they have said to me, I sigh with relief when I see that they complemented me. To my surprise I hear these words and it puts a smile on my face.
It is thanks to you and all your support that makes keep writing my poetry.

What is a gemstone?
It’s a chapter of Mother Earth’s autobiography.
She bakes her creations deep within her womb;
by the time they leave the nest,
they are her beautiful memories.
Some gems are painters;
presenting life’s scenes;
they paint themselves scenic;
these imitators will become precious art works.
Some reflect the colors of light’s spectrum;
refracting light plays out in captivating scenes.
Others merely glow with colors of life;
they love to be displayed upon a stage of skin; complemented by like fashions.
Wear them as proudly as they wear you.
