Pale Colours Of Dawn

Sunrise painting sky palest shade of blue.
Break of dawn as usual with pale yellow hue.
Tint in the clouds of pale purple so true.
A gradient of gentle pale colours risen anew.

I am Rainbow

I am Rainbow 
seven colours merged to flowing 
glow in Dark Nights of the Soul
landed in a country nicknamed 
the “Rainbow Nation” untamed
my mission to transform, transmute
colours covered in dust and rust
with rain we gain, attain without shame
sublime freedom for Self and fellow 
with not much bellow never shallow

Painted in grey
no colours nor lilies
there's hope there's pain
amidst the wind and storm

While wending my way one sunny day
in no particular direction
on stopping for reflection
I took a look at flowers by the rustic fence
beside a gnarled old tree
and was amused to see
beautiful colours and textures
which it seemed to me could only be
a painting picturesque
packed with pinks and reds yellows too
while beyond there lay
a field of green beneath
