We, children love to build lego blocks
Our knacks never run out of stocks;
We can make miniature city,
People, animals, houses, flowers
And a lot more! So colorful and pretty!
Legos are our favorite toys,
Bringing us laughter, smiles and joys;
Girls make dolls and kitchen wares,
Boys make cars, robots, towers
And while playing, we all love to share!
Legos help us think collaboratively and logically,
Combining shapes and colors beautifully;
We make many 2-D and 3-D shapes,
We're symmetric and asymmetric figure builders
Our great creativity leaves you in awe, mouth in gapes!

Balconies From Afar
In a view from the balcony, above the aquamarine sea
All the gifts of creation are unwrapped, like bark on a birch tree
Where the strength of the soul is exposed to salt air, screaming in the sun
Look what exists from love, in each drop of water, it has begun
For the eternities stain the sacred sands of theistic time
Of viewing the celestial bodies that rupture with rhythmic rhyme
Admits shimmering stars that drip with love on a hot summers day
Thus our spirit sails to shores of heaven botanical ballet
For the splitting minutes that pass us by, in which we may forget
While the tide’s forces pull us like the spinning reel of a cassette
Our hearts pulsate with all the sparkling rivers flowing into one
What started as love is a chosen final dance, when we are done
As the moon and earth tango within the midnight ambient air
Our souls collaboratively collide through a falsetto flare
Then love shed its lucid layers amongst the empyreal abyss
The infinite skies await from balconies afar, a first kiss

Rita Rudner said, “I don't plan to age gracefully
Just have face-lifts till my ears meet, collaboratively”
That made me cackle
Things started to waggle
Was seen sucking on a sucker occasionally
I learned to add, subtract, multiply and divide,
And always followed the teacher's directions.
My kids solve complex problems collaboratively,
And make unshakeable lifetime connections.
So, I did as I was told
til I was 40 years old,
'Stayed in my place,'
and wasted the 'best years of my life;'
While my kids try new things;
They take chances and risks.
With a network of friends to support them,
and the confidence to recover from setbacks
mighty quick!
