Ivy is a climber
She climbs up on ladders and chairs
Creeps into an empty house
And climbs its creaky stairs

She just loves climbing
And never falls
The best thing she loves to climb
Is up all garden walls

Lobster Woman Climber

Lobster woman climber scrambled through white lily petals of joy
Their aromatic ambiance surrounded her with the means to be happy
We are waiting, the violets urged her, no longer fearful of her claws
She had been visiting them for many moons now, and she was careful.
She still has a bit of fish smell about her, the lilacs

Atop Ole Everest 
mountaineers delight
Your souls she can take

Dream Climber

All night he climbs his spinal cord,
up and down he goes
a worker ant
gathering globules of memory.
The bony spine itself
offers handholds for his ghosts.

At each spinal notch 
he enters the swim
of sub-osseous neural bundles.
Images are scooped up,
mixed into an alphabet soup
of alternative realities.

He climbs upward only to pause stymied 
at the brains tightly packed folds

There was this bold man, an expert climber, 
followed own technique of an old timer.
It was always his call, 
wife wasn’t happy at all, 
for he never cared to even time her. 

He once decided to go off the track, 
flexing his fat body on vale and crack.

On an asteroid named for its ores and metals

Who moved back to their home planet, Earth

Traversing ice and cold

Such was the pulsating vibration 
Facing another dawn

Blade and ice danced slow motion

Above my sturdy maple –
By nature tree related –
A frisky, leaping fellow
Is lord of closed earth below

Wonder of agility
This sprite for all seasons
Knows not the gifts he’s bestowed
To what evolution owed

But goes daily surveying
Each frozen plot, fence, house top –
Careful descent, twist, turn -
Survival his main concern
