It had been so long since I’d felt loved and wanted.
Then I met John. We basked in our late-in-life romance.
Gone was the loneliness that had left me feeling haunted.
Our relationship proved I had been wise to take a chance.
Though somewhat set in our ways, we adjusted well,
each accommodating the other. He often mentioned how much
we were alike. We had no serious disagreements. I fell
more deeply in love with him, daily craving his touch.
A year after we met, he proposed. Of course, I said, “YES!”
We retirees in the autumn of life would be together forever
enjoying each other and family, traveling. No stress---
Then came the devastating blow. Forever became never.
He called on Christmas Day, of all times, to say he’d changed his mind.
This man who’d often mentioned how alike we were declared
that we were too different. He made no effort to be kind,
to let me down gently. I doubt he ever loved me—or even cared.
He's been a casket full of bones for for six or seven years.
When I learned of his demise, I deeply sighed but shed no tears.
The sky unwraps a silver veil,
Each drop a hymn, so soft, so pale,
As rain begins its tender play.
It drapes the earth in crystal lace,
With every bead, a sweet embrace,
A gentle calm on Christmas Day.
The lights reflect in puddled grace,
Like stars descended, face to face,
In every splash, a dream will stay.
Oh, how I love the rain's refrain,
Its hush more pure than caroled strain,
A holy hush where hearts can pray.
Where's that Bethlehem?
I toiled hard to find out that
It's right in my heart.
The word grateful springs to mind,
And being above ground I don't mind,
As long as I am of sound mind,
With others not having me to mind,
And me fit to children mind.
The only thing I do mind,
Is alcohol I have to mind,
Though a drop or two of baileys in my coffee,
should not cloud my mind.
And there is some baileys chocolate to blow my mind,
So, overall Christmas stimulates my mind,
And given my age the children can mind or not mind,
As another Christmas is always on my mind,
And being being above ground I don't mind,
With another poem just for you in mind.
Hope you have only kind words in mind,
For those of unsound mind,
You have to mind,
With the spirit of Christmas in Mind.
On a walk a few days before Christmas…
I was greeted by a morning fog so thick…
to my face and hands and clothing…
that heavy fog did stick.
A blanket so dense when I looked ahead…
the fog obstructed my view…
The kind of fog you don’t walk in…
you find yourself walking through.
This fog blocked the moon and the stars
and frustrated the morning breeze
everything around was wet…
i could hear fog dripping off the trees.
As I turned the corner down town
on this cozy foggy night
I was greeted there on Main Street
by a host of Christmas lights.
I stopped to enjoy the moment
as the multi-colored lights blended with the foggy grey.
I stopped because the moment
took my breath away.
I walked the rest of the way in silence…
a fitting epilogue…
to the morning I was blessed
to be surrounded
by the beauty of the fog.
Christmas tablecloth
Red mugs, hot chocolate
Cinnamon candle
We, so lovingly
Just like kids, dunk marshmallows
Sniffing the candle
Beneath the table,
Our feet do a romantic dance
Quite a holiday trance!

In the humble, sad dwelling,
last year's Christmas decorations
still permanent, the same ornaments...
signs and clues of poverty...
Santa clause get me hope for xmas, since its hard for my mind and heart to hope again. Magicians perform me tricks to overcome ths dissapointment and shock, I jst can't bear no more. Scientist discover in me once again, trust and strength to live with this world horrors.
In me, I know not how to react to this devastation, human in collision, both young and old's life in shambles. There's no level or meassurements to curb this might of distress and dispair, its just spilled waters and milk everywhere, hopeless!
In which part of this Earth can I locate reset button, are there any archeologist to help me trace biblical authors's graves and tombs? maybe through them my grievences will reach to God

Sanctified and holly day
All mankind happily rejoice
Browsing the bible the whole day
Bowing down to God with praise
Another day is on the corner
Thundering sweet temptations
Humans are crying for divine protection
Diligently watching and waiting
A trumpet to solemnly blow
Yes, here is our salvation

So now Faith, Hope, and Love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is Love.

"On This First Christmas Day"
(written by Michelle L LeBlanc 12/23/2022)
Dedicated to my son: Jayden Donald LeBlanc
On This First Christmas Day, We Remember You
Never to be forgotten, a love so very true
Christmases past
Memories that will last
In our hearts, forever you'll be
Although each Christmas we will grieve
Each and every dawn
Can't believe you're gone
Longing for you to be
Right here next to me
Merry Christmas, my precious boy
You always brought Christmas joy
Can't believe you're gone
Need to find my song
We will find a way
Letting your vibrancy light the day
Merry Christmas, with all our love
Forever our beloved
.

It took thirteen years to feel that glory,
like a cat on display under a hat.
Living a Dr. Seuss allegory,
feeling thrilled to be on the welcome mat.
In the hoop those fleeting seconds, that's all
it took thirteen years to feel that glory.
Cheers, JoVon McClanahan, for the end-all,
of shocked rival faces told the story.
SMU's defeat was self-explanatory,
their 57 to our 58.
It took thirteen years to feel that glory,
as jubilation made none hesitate.
Diamond Head Classic Hawaiian Airlines,
Rainbow Warriors clinch category.
Since its inception, a group of men shines,
it took thirteen years to feel that glory.

The only difference between a man with faith and a man without is that the faithful man knows the weight of his sins
And yet, the weight of his sins does not discourage him, he simply begins to fetishize his blasphemy, reaching out into the endless cathedral and soiling its sacredness, for to be close to holiness is not to be righteous, but to be powerful
Perhaps there is no way for a woman to be holy in this time I find myself in, perhaps there never was
I clasp my hands and whisper helplessly into the darkness
There are no martyrs in a godless world.
The Christmas Story
The Christmas story we were taught so well
And it’s a story that we love to tell
Tales of sweet angels who excitedly
Permeate sky with song beautifully.
On the unforgettable holy night
The star of Bethlehem was shining bright
Gleaming o’er the place of Jesus Christ’s birth
Born to save the souls of people on earth.
Will the light shine for us this Christmas Day
Will the darkness finally fade away
Earth’s in unrest that’s gone beyond control
Lord we implore you to save all lost souls.
The world is in need of peace for healing
From the anguish it's people are feeling
May this Christmas abolish all hatred
With hearts filled with love we will achieve it.
We must find the will inside to survive
It's love and trust that will light up our lives
Born for us, Jesus died for our sakes too
A gift from God above to me and you.
Life’s become harder for some of us all
Gone are joyous days when life was a ball
Despondence just keeps on coming our way
Pray that changes because of Christmas Day.
