Sonnet 4: The Aquamarine Monolith

The vast and subterranean
depths awake,
An undulating wave begins
to grow,
As tidal currents violently
awake
And stir the bioluminescent
glow.
The hyper- luminescent
sapphire wall
Ascends against the high
celestial sphere,
A fluid, panoramic, sweeping
hall
Where atmospheric shadows
disappear.
Then comes the thunderous,
explosive crash,
A multifaceted, bright
diamond spray,
As liquid glass and ancient
granite crash,
To wash the solitary coast
away.
The subterranean gargantuan dies,
Reflecting iridescent
midnight stars.

Cinders, embers, ashes
rain over meadows blue,
sailing celestial sphere
destined to get to you

Premium Member Symphony Of Sunrise

Sun at dawn! A sight so spectacular
I wake up and gaze... surreal, stunning, sensational!
Ultramarine sky, a hue of crimson in the east,
A red dot growing bigger and bigger turning the horizon ruby-red!
Mesmerized me! A gush of lavender emotions run through my veins,
How do I describe this kaleidoscopic vision!

A symphony of chimes soaring from a temple far away,
Peaceful, tranquil, harmonious,
My existence fills with prayers, my body kneels
To the almighty who has blessed us with this sunrise,
The source of life on this earth....
Creator, Sustainer, Destroyer!

Cooing melody of birds serenade me away to a forest of dreams,
I find a purpose igniting my saffron imagination,
It spreads its wings, and rises to the celestial sphere!
A moment of silence, a moment of realization for me…
This world wouldn’t be the same without me,
                    and without you!

Premium Member NADIR

Nadir : point on celestial sphere vertically opposite to Zenith
At about 4 a.m nadir in body temperature occurs reaching peak about 6 a.m.
Direction pointing directly below a particular location.
In geophysics, nadir points direction of force of gravity at that location.
Reconstruction period of African - American race relations

Nadir in the lowest point of journey of life.
At every step to soar high to reach Zenith.
Dormant dreamy desires direct to be away from Nadir.
In life, Nadir points the origin of its start.
Running rushing, transcending death to be back at Nadir completing cycle.

Premium Member Supine, Looking At The Sky

In the stillness of a new moon night,
I lie supine, gazing at the celestial light,
Millions of stars, galaxies, and planets afar,
I ponder the mysteries of life, both near and far.

I wonder what becomes of souls when they depart,
Folklore whispers they ascend to the stars in the chart,
Do they feel lonely, yearning to reunite,
With their beloved ones, under the moon's gentle light?

As the day unfolds, the stars slowly fade away,
Descending to Earth, in ashes they lay,
But on a full moon, my beloved, so fair,
She asked me if she outshines the moon up there.

With love in my heart, I responded with delight,
"When I see you, my dear, the moon loses its sight,
Your radiance outshines the celestial sphere,
In your presence, the moon becomes crystal clear."

So, in the midst of the night's celestial show,
I lie supine, with love's enchanting glow,
For when I gaze upon my beloved's grace,
The moon itself finds solace in second place.

Starbust Love

Beneath the tapestry of the celestial sphere,
Where stars whisper secrets for those who hear.
Two souls adrift in the cosmic dance,
Finding each other as if by chance.

In the silence of space, their hearts converse,
With a language beyond the universe.
Each beat a starburst, a radiant flare,
Illuminating love in the cool night air.

Their gazes lock, a constellation formed,
A love so profound, the heavens warmed.
In the starlight's glow, their promises spun,
A tale of affection that outshines the sun.

Together they wander, through galaxies vast,
A bond unbroken, a love to last.
For in the sky's expanse, so infinite and far,
Their union is written, a permanent star.

Premium Member Where Can I Roam

where can I roam where is home
the skies are dark with cloudy vibrations
sounds behind the celestial sphere there is a chill
sidewalks, streets, cold doorways
half open stores, partial windows
where is home turned into an old earth creation
ancient life in the skies bluegray and shinning heavenly stars
what blurs between reality and what lies beyond
I wonder at a strange and recovering life
existence the essential unity of all
where can we create home

Premium Member Upon Remembrance of Things Past

When memories are memories long-lost,
and when infancy's twilight hides what feels
like lifetimes in half-dreamt dreams, sleep storm-tossed
     surrenders glimpses of childhood's ideals

now only half-remembered. It is these,
that I dislodge from my still obscure past
(existing despite the present's dis-ease),
before life as an outcast unsurpassed.

Like echoes from out of immortal time,
     mnemonic ghosts appear and disappear;
and now are fixed in everlasting rhyme,
writ on earth under this celestial sphere.

And since upon remembrance of things past,
my late innocence returns at long last!

Premium Member The Longings of An Old Man

I long to—
Walk one more time
To where the land ends, and the ocean begins
To listen expectantly for the sounds of infant waves
Grasping layers of golden sand
I long to—
Hear the fat gulls with white bellies
And ebony eyes
Floating on invisible wires
Calling for the savory morsels
Hidden inside the curled fingers of an old man
I long to—
Stand beneath the tangerine sky
Lazily descending into the cradle of the sea
Vacating heaven for the snowy celestial sphere
Hung upon Vincent’s starry canvas
Ten thousand lights scattered forever
I long to—
Be embraced by the tenebrous sea
Her loneliness engulfing me like lovers of yesterday
I long to—
Gaze beyond the past wrapped in sorrow
The years of trudging through cheerless mire
Searching for reasons without answers
Answers without questions
I long to—
Remember only moments worth remembering
A twirling montage of love and hope
And dreams
Of a time when two became one
Hearts pulsing in harmony
Minds ascending to tidal floods of ecstasy
I long to—
See your face
To walk hand in hand
To where the land ends and the ocean begins
I long to—
Do it all again

Premium Member Beneath the Canopy

" The forests are my bones "

I find the beauty of shadows and shades
beneath the canopy painted in dappled light
from the glorious glowing spokes
  of a celestial sphere
that creates an elegant twilight realm

where my spirit is held captive
by the warm arms of changing hues
that comforts me in a quiet solitude
  of reverence
as I walk the untrodden path

where limbs float on the wind
allowing sunlight to wash across the forest floor
like a glittering fragmented tide
to warm wild berries and ferns
that peacefully lay between the thickets
that stretch through the emerald forest
  of standing trees
that my heart and soul...call home

There Is Such Light

There is such light...

The ivory hue
of the dove-colored rain- cloud
as it hovers;

the opaque glitter
of the sunlight as the rain-
drops are shaken

off of leaves
after the rainfall. The light
emerging

as storm-clouds
glissade into the heavens
the tint of light-blue Robin eggs.

Billows as bright
as the Springtime Sun, that slip
across the sky in April.

A snowy Egret's
spread wings in a summer
afternoon

as they lift-
they are an elegant white wedding-
her veil, train…

A sunlit
freshly washed silk dress, drying
in a soft May sun.

A moon bow
alit on a body of water,
immaculate…

the purity
of the stars that are diamonds
cast across

the celestial sphere
as the sunlight ebbs, retreats
into a dusky sky.

The Rape, of a Piano Song

Her song is the luring of a beloved beast
with a soft black, blond coat, and sunflower eyes.

Her song is the colors captured
within any sky,

every sky within the celestial sphere
 that adorns the heavens.

Her song is the sky at night..
a queen's crown is the night sky.

The woman, girl, plays the piano.
She is enchanted, a stream flows

with reflections of light that are slivers of silver..
that are bursting stars over the yellowed keys.

The songbook is a swapped copy,
with corrupt printing of the notes,

to blind her reading of the songs,
to cripple her melodies.

The wild creature chases the sinking
sun, to return to her home...

A Sweet Summer

Cotton clouds,
blue skies,
chasing the butterflies
wildflowers
and grassy bed
the celestial sphere overhead
leaning trees,
green foliage,
sweet wild berries
cuckoos singing
and crickets answering
murmuring cool stream
lemongrass sprouting
on both banks
unwatched dreams,
crowding in the eyes
dusty feet
and soiled pants
but ecstatic memories
and beautiful discoveries.

The River Courses

The river courses, its currents speed
as it carves the land; pushes against the mud,
the long grasses bending over the dark deep
light blue-brown.
                         Her grandmother creaks the rungs
of her rocking chair,
her shawled shape is molded earth colors
like the river and its banks,
            both passing time quietly, alone.
     The rain changes the sky
outside her window; it becomes Dove-grey.
            The clouds are wrapped together,
                         sunlight cushioned, they are bandages
with the light like blood seeping
until the empyrian is completely covered,
and clots- Venus, Mars and Jupitor, perhaps-
behind the outer layer of the celestial sphere
in a sea of wedding-white.
The full moon is veiled
                        within the cottony gauziness,
it shines in the violent heavens.

Half Moon Punch

Sterling silver jewels
are pendolous on her ear-lobes

as she shakes her head,
as they sit by a river lit up

with a shimmer of man-made light.
Salmon with peach colors is a feast

for the sky above them;
yet her new diamond is tossed

into this dove tinted water,
with orange and deep yellows-

the celestial sphere
becomes an adorned queen;

she wears her crown of diamonds
as a half moon is punched

into this empyrean,
and a moonbow is tossed to them.
