each effect has a cause
be gentle and mindful
as we sow, so we reap
poised in the void let us
take a consciousness leap

each effect has a cause
settle all debts of love
ensuring heart is pure
forgive, forget, move on
in tranquil peace endure

each effect has a cause
though this life will roll on
if we be nonchalant
in state of surrender
twists of fate do not daunt

each effect has a cause
yet karma is burnt off
once cravings are released
our suffering then ends
since ego is deceased

Your calm betrayal
forms rivers of crimson tears
that stream down my cheeks.

Your rabid fury
cleaves trails of searing anguish
that blaze through my heart.

It started with me
creating a false idol
in your likeliness.

Perpetuated
by your homily preaching
of a twisted grace.

I shouldn’t have knelt
to worship at your alter
of fallible love.

Unreachable Role

By George P. Lumayag

The cast tried to act his dramatic role in the teaching-learning arc;
He portrayed a character he knew very much
with a very adjusted tone of his artistic acts.
He loved it so he danced overnight,
and he mastered it in daylight.

He believed he was a prolific actor therefore he portrayed his best.
His character was exposed in the theater as a rising rainbow,
It seemed such a character was struck with a bow and arrow.
His heart was bleeding on a climax as set
So, that was the reddest light wave of a falling rainbow.

The director explicitly expressed the rules of artistry,
So, the actor implicitly cried that his role as the cast was disqualified
from that teaching and learning art contest!

Decision triggers fate
like a fuse ignites a bomb

Priming every choice we make

Cause and Effect

From the girl:
Mother used to always say
"All men are the same"
Whether you want, whether you may
They will always make you play their game

And then I met him

But then I asked him:
Why do you stand by the the river's bank
While the waves take me far away
Won't you mind and throw me that plank?
Is it too much to ask that you help and stay?

Won't you hold me tight, love and don't let go
When faced with a choice
It seemed all your promises were just for show
You let the tears run and my cheeks get moist

Over and over, I would still choose you
Again and again, you choose to hurt me
Was anything you said ever true?
You, you have messed up my reality

I hope you hurt forever
Peace may you never find

From the boy:
You misunderstand my actions
I don't mean to make you cry
Already, you have taken me as one without conscience
So why should I try

Then he said:
I don't wish you bad
I only wish you see yourself
The way He sees you
I only wish you see the beauty
I see
I only wish you see the wonderful person
The whole world sees you as
What we have, we give
I wish you nothing but self love
That you may one day give.

With a rock Cain slew Able from an evil heart,
fast forward, today, guns are the tools of choice.
If a person is inclined to physical pain impart,
he or she will find a way to silence their voice.

Today’s method is a Gun, but man’s heart the cause,
we politicize each shooting attempting to fix blame.
We search for solutions that might stop or bring pause,
but each day, our children, are facing more of the same.

The answer won’t be found in a legislative solution,
for repairing evil hearts is only God’s domain.
Yet many today suggest changing the constitution,
with a rock the first murder was committed by Cain.

Indignant is our talk, wishy- washy is our walk,
and prayer changes things when to God we talk.

Many times those who squeal the loudest about gun ownership
are those with gated estates and armed security 24/7.

                                                              Arriving indifferently,
                                                       We suffer;
                                                  Then not, Then so,
                                                       Then not.
                                                              There are trees
				       And things around you.
				Call them things around you.
A roar at dawn, each day
				Arrives in tears;
Bringing a rain
				That may cleanse your air.
				      There may be despair.
				      You make it different,
By giving it a different name.
And when the heart of the lion
				    Beats another dawn,
			              You will become the rain
                                        That will cleanse another’s air.

Four Point Nine: Cause and Effect

Fret and regret
Stall and won't settle
Hide and be always terrified
Stay 'til you go astray
Fake it and have no one to meet
Manipulate and be the subject of hate
Mock and remain stuck
Play safe and your peace will chafe

There's no aftermath without fear
but isn't it merely a trap to interfere?
For fear itself is not the culprit,
it's our hastened choice to quit

Fear only memorizes your shame,
the unchanging timidness is to blame

Fear will often talk about your past injury
It can't walk far away from your history,
it's not privy to the rest of your story

Premium Member The Law of Unintended Consequences

I am a scientist and like to believe
I live in rational universe where
cause and effect apply and that
Newton’s third law “when two
objects interact, they apply forces
to each other of equal magnitude
and opposite direction” might be
extended to human interactions.
Indeed, most of the women to whom
I’m attracted are repelled by me.
But electrical forces complicate the
situation as opposite charges attract,
which could explain what happened
between us, although relativity,
quantum physics and maybe even
string theory might have to be invoked
to explain what holds us together.
