Best Cause And Effect Poems
Emotions a strange and funny thing
Its cause and effect and the actions they bring
We cry with laughter we cry when we're sad
It makes no sense at all and seems a bit mad
So.....lets look at emotion and what does it mean
Its not as straightforward as it may seem
Emotions been pondered since time immemorial
The answers not in a library or learnt in a tutorial
Its something you can see-feel-touch and get caught out by
Like the passing of a loved one or a babies first cry
The look in a Childs eye Christmas morning
Gazing at your soul mate as they wake up yawning
The disabled affected with complete frustration
When you gaze up at the night sky ...complete creation
Tsunami's hurricanes lives devastated
The feeling you get when you feel underrated
The tears that were spilt when the twin towers fell
The elation of a nation when Mandela left his cell
When the wall came down and Germany was once again one
The assassination of Kennedy forever gone
How the world wept as one when we lost Diana
The hatred for the paparazzi how she died in that manner
Your very first kiss the first time you dated
The miracle of nature in all she’s created
So many emotions for so many feelings
From deepest grief to euphoric ceilings
So whether on cloud nine or unable to cope
Emotion will out and bring on hope
If one refuses to be crude
Then one will never be eloquent.

yeah, so, none of the categories inspire me... I was looking for the one that said "Think about it."

The Death Of Socrates
What reasoning has brought you to this place
where death destroys your gift of sanctity?
Before the fall of night, and in disgrace
yes, all those hating you, shall make it be;
they'll label you confused right to your end
corrupter of all teachers of the truth
convincing all the world, you have no friend,
and die for untold sins against our youth.
Your good and bad has brought you to despair;
all indecisiveness in what you think,
the crown upon your head, where once was hair
outshines the goblet from which you now drink.
How can you bear the hemlock in such style,
almost as if the world can see you smile?
THE FALL OF ATHENS
Let all the wrath, unmercifully divine,
we have to muster, lead us in our quest,
and bring Athenian rule to be in line,
as sure the gods provide they fail the test,
all in our time, for Lacedaemon rules,
have we not made of man the equal to
the sight of death, upon the plights of fools
resisting all the means that we can do?
Their setting sun has risen in the east,
before the dark, those left will have to burn,
their knowledge is their fat, and only feast,
for all they know, they've yet to ever learn!
Now let the blood to flow down from the hill,
as if the flood has come and made the kill.

An ice cold glare
From across the room
A pointed stare
An impending sense of doom
It wouldn't have taken long
To see what was wrong
But the reason why she hides to weep
Goes further than just belly deep
just one call
A conversation overheard
Caused silence to fall
But for the repetition of one word
Walking home from the park
On a night all too dark
Passing an alley, a man
With a devastating plan
Forced down on the ground
Mouth covered in tape
Struggling to make a sound
To cry 'rape'
Now every day at school
She sees first hand how children can be cruel
Placing bets on when it shows
On when she'll have to wear baggy clothes

The tongue is a fire.
I've been burned by its words.
I arose from the ashes,
and flew like a bird
The Christian life is not robotic
The Kingdom of God is very organic.
It is not "do this and you will get that"
But a Seed of life on His welcome mat.
It's not "do good and you'll get good"
But feeding from Jesus the heavenly food.
It's not "do bad and you'll get bad"
But hearing the warnings from his red flags.
It's not by principles or law based keeping
but letting seed grow, while you are sleeping.
We're not asking God to create the external
For we already have what we need internal.
I's not a structure you build so well
but a tree that grows; cell by cell.
It's not that you know each chapter and verse
But an agreeing heart to His voice you've heard
It's not a formula that you can do
But agreement to the Life inside of you.
The Kingdom of God is not for mechanics
But tillers of soil who love organics.
The Kingdom of God is not cause and effect
But seed and harvest for God's elect.
Her wagging tongue left an impression.
He’s being treated for depression.

Game...life? Some would say so:
up in the morning with a sprint--
my court or yours?
dribble a few ideas,
toss them toward the hoop--
my foul or yours
depends on who choose
the referees,
who is keeping score,
your stadium
or your in-laws'.
We build such
huge amphitheaters,
call ourselves Lions--
even Christians forget--
Cowboys and Indians--
what good is life
without an opponent
a foe?
tell that to those in the Peace Corps,
or those battling AIDS;
what need for a God
if not for a devil?
God forgive
our lack of love....
Cause and Effect
Miracle Man
6-4-2022
With a rock Cain slew Able from an evil heart,
fast forward, today, guns are the tools of choice.
If a person is inclined to physical pain impart,
he or she will find a way to silence their voice.
Today’s method is a Gun, but man’s heart the cause,
we politicize each shooting attempting to fix blame.
We search for solutions that might stop or bring pause,
but each day, our children, are facing more of the same.
The answer won’t be found in a legislative solution,
for repairing evil hearts is only God’s domain.
Yet many today suggest changing the constitution,
with a rock the first murder was committed by Cain.
Indignant is our talk, wishy- washy is our walk,
and prayer changes things when to God we talk.
Many times those who squeal the loudest about gun ownership
are those with gated estates and armed security 24/7.

Cause & Effect
The tongue is a fire I have been burned by it's words.
I arose from the ashes and flew like a bird.
Shattered Smirnoff bottles of-
Butterfly wings,
Broken dishes...regret...
Black Velvet horses...beyond reason...
Time can never mend reckless whispers;
Do you bleed as I do?
As we untangle cause and effect,
Like parts of some equation,
Investigating all that erect,
Your feminine persuasion...
Blowing softly in your ear,
To watch each hair that stands,
That runs your back to disappear,
As if by my command....
Then around your waist and hips,
Till locked within your thighs,
To kiss upon the softest lips,
That tremble's once inside...
Then saying that " I love you "
As I pull aside your lace,
Which obviously I see thru,
Just to look upon your face...
"Cause" are compromises,
That connect what seems surreal,
But "Effect" is what surmises,
Just how good I make them feel...

All of This
Is uncaused..
Cause and effect
Are uncaused and
Paradoxically
Also This...
I am a scientist and like to believe
I live in rational universe where
cause and effect apply and that
Newton’s third law “when two
objects interact, they apply forces
to each other of equal magnitude
and opposite direction” might be
extended to human interactions.
Indeed, most of the women to whom
I’m attracted are repelled by me.
But electrical forces complicate the
situation as opposite charges attract,
which could explain what happened
between us, although relativity,
quantum physics and maybe even
string theory might have to be invoked
to explain what holds us together.
There's a ripple in the crowd, as the actor's take the stage..
And when the play is over there's a ripple of applause..
Does a ripple start a tidal wave, does a ripple drive a storm..
Impulsive causes ripples of thing's both good and bad..
The effects of that little ripple are everywhere we look..
Are we all crippled by the consequences from the ripple of
little acorns born....
